This is the result of the recent improvement by UTP ITMS towards internet connection in the campus.

However, Website & Bulletin Dept. of E3SS will try to update the website as usual, with respect to the students who can view the website using broadband though we ourselves have not sort any solution to this issue.

If this issue persist, we may consider to use E3 Bulletin as the medium to replace E3SS Website. However, the plan is still in discussion and there is no absolute decision that has been made.

The participation of students in every game must be made on the behalf of respective department. There are more than 10 games that will be organized. The games that they will have during UTPSC are:

  • futsal
  • tennis
  • table tennis
  • chess
  • netball
  • rugby
  • hockey
  • volleyball
  • badminton
  • sepak takraw
  • sepak raga
  • mountain bike
  • road relay
  • bowling
  • squash
  • beach volleyball
  • tug of war
  • basketball

Each department is expected to send at least a team for every game and 1 student can participate maximum 2 games only. There is no participation fee charged.

If you are interested to represent the department of EE in any of the games offered, you can later register by emails or you can come to our registration booth which will be opened at Pocket D on 31 Jan-1 Feb, from 9am to 5pm.

As we told you all in our previous posts, the book sale that we have organized during last semester was a great success. Students need not to strolling from a room to another to look for second hand books as they could easily look for books they want just by visiting our mini booth.

The nearest book drive will be held on Jan 31-Feb 1, at V2 Cafe, starting at 5pm and will end at 10.30pm. Books sold are based on first come first serve and the quantity for each of type of book is very limited.

To those who want to let us to help you to sell your books, you can contact the person in charge, as stated in the poster above. Hurry up! We will only accept books that are handed to us before January 30th, 2011.

Please bear in mind that this book drive is opened for all students of all courses and not restricted to EE students only.

The club focused more on recruiting the new members, reorganizing the organisation and also refurnishing a few activities that have not been conducted for quite a time or delayed management documentation.

Nevertheless, the club still occupied the semester with successful events.

1. Second Hand Text Book Sale
Though the club organized this activity for the first time under the Department of Entrepreneurship and Sponsorship, it was a great success for the club. The sale was highly anticipated by not only EE students but also other students from othe courses. Other clubs and organisations in UTP are now looking forward to collaborate with E3SS to work on a bigger scale.

The sale, which took place on August 2010 not only helped to reduce the financial burden of students but also provided them with an ease to look for second hand text books. And the club has decided that this event will be organized in every semester as it has been proven that this activity has given so much benefits to all.

2. E3SS Annual Grand Dinner
The dinner was organized on October 22nd, 2010 at Cinnamon Ballroom, Tower Regency Hotel, Ipoh. The Dean’s of EE Department, Dr. Nor Hisham Hamid was the VIP of the event and his presence was not only the enlightenment of the event as there were also lecturers who joined us.

The main objective of this dinner is as a token of appreciation to all EE final year students for their contribution and endless support to the department as well as the university. We are grateful for their support and hope that this dinner will leave them with some memories to cherish.

During the dinner, a lucky draw session was held followed by the prize giving ceremony. In total, 6 lucky draws were given out. Special awards were then given out to the lucky winners, followed by souvenirs for the lecturers and the band.

The prize giving ceremony was followed by the closing performance by a local band.

3. Perfect Score UPSR

Perfect Score UPSR is the most consistent activity that the club organized. It is meant to help the students of SK Siputeh to improve their study by facilitating them in 3 core subjects; Mathematics, Science and English.
