Hi all, just to update u all with some recent group photos of us!
Below are the photos taken in Su Wee's place after cell group.. Our cell is getting closer and closer, as a cell group member I am glad to see this~~ I am going to leave Singapore for about 2 months already.. So I pray that during this time E427 will continue to grow to a stronger and stronger cell group.. and eventually the next group photos will be more and more people.. =)

Its a beautiful location with plenty of SUN, SAND, SEA. Not to mention NICE BUFFET FOOD!!! Muwahhahahaha...

Do invite your friends as the more the merrier.. Also we can booked the whole bus if can fill like half or more... Sound good?

Hey all! Winston and Josephine will be going to Pulau Redang (Redang Island) in Malaysia for a vacation on 20-22 May.

Pulau Redang is a very extremely fictitious wonderous excellent place to go as a vacation. The beach there is magnificently exemplar.. haha.. enuf for my cacat english..

The trip will cost us s$400.. So if anyone interested to know more.. Juz call Winston or Josephine for more information!

and thank you so much to the people who painstakingly prepared the food: winston, jo, michelle and Jason! :)

hmmmm~ just popped by to share what was in my mind during offering time at cell last fri!

Michelle shared a verse from Matt 6:20 during offering time last friday. The verse reads:

"but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where heaven do not break in and steal. "

As i read the verse, the first thing that ran through my mind was, "i doubt moth nor rust can acutally destroy our current monetary savings in this time and day...." and then another voice in my head shot back:"yeah well, it might not be destroyed by moth and rust, but it runs a high risk of being eroded by INFLATION!"

which is quite true, given the rising sky high prices we all are facing these days! so in order for us to not lose the value of our savings, the best bank that we should save with is God's bank up in the heavens! where inflation does not prevail, where we get the best deals for savings interest rates (where else can you get interest rates that promises to increase our money tenfold, hundredfold, thousandfold?) and where we will never be shortchanged from flucuating currency exchange rates, because the only currency that exists in God's bank is God's own currency! And we all know God will NEVER shortchange us!

So start saving up with God's bank today!

The Power of Focus

Have You ever wonder why God gave you a mind and mouth while you have a pair of hands, legs, ears, eyes and nostrils. I believe you have heard pastor saying " you can walk and chew gums together..." But I strongly believe this is another analogy of focus.

When your mouth chew on the gum, it does not take on the role of doing other things like drink. If you were to do that, you can get choke. (Please don't try else I have to drag my legs to the hospital coz I dread visiting hospital.) Even when you want to drink a sip of water, you have to stop chew your gum and then drink. Why? Becoz your mouth is focusing doing one action.

Similarly, you can only walk or run at one single moment. You can't walk on one leg and run on the other.. you can't simply coordinate.. (If you can, please don't call me... Coz ... YOU ARE A MONSTER... )

So where does the mind comes in the picture? The mind is like a person... Each of us are special. So is your mind, it can only process one task at a time.. your mind delegate the jobs to the different parts of body. The body will send back the actions report to the mind. The mind does not try to walk or eat... (Thank God... it doesn't...)

So focus on one thing... if you can't do anything, simply delegate to people who can do it. After, just get reports from other.. This way you work better and get more things task done. The leg do the walking and mouth chew on the gum.

Hey guys! I just discovered the theme song for 2008 Olympics! It is very encouraging, the song presented by Andy Lau takes the name "Everyone is No.1"

Actually, one of the event that inspired me the most is the sports event, especially the "Special Olympics" and "Paralympics". They are very inspring, the message that I have earned always bring me a lot of mind renew! Following are the MV by Andy Lau, which is the song for paralympic, I like it a lot! Hope can share with you guys!

Sometimes, we get so tied up with life and activities, we tend to lose our sight on our goal. Always re-evaluate your goal Remember a story pastor preach..

There was once a swimmer who can really swim well. She have swam many competition and won them. She really train extremely hard for the up-coming competition that is to swim across English channel. She had numerous training in the English channel and she know the English channel at the back of the hand.

On the competition day morning, there was a strong fog. The competition started and all the swimmers jumped into the channel. The girl swam as fast as she could but after sometime she gave up. During the press conference, the press found out that she only 100m to the finish line. She was ask why she gave up when she is about to win. She just say "I can't see the finish line."

Are you able to see your finishing line?

Today is our cell group outing..with some new friends,gg to Settlers @ Clarke Quay. Wow. Thank God it's a wednesday today as they hv some promos gg on; like free flow foods on wed only. it's simply irresistable man! WoOo~ hmm..their service is quite alrite with comfortable seats, nice friendly staff to help us with the games we'r unsure with. Well..i guess not every one can go,as it's a weekday with work gg on. but nevertheless, we'll just have fun with the present crowd who's gg. Im personally looking forward to that. Im off today so pple who's reading it,dun be jealous, u'll get urs too! hahaha.

p/s: i hope i dun sound like giving free advertisement here. :P

I've come into this verse and I think this verse is worth meditating, I dont understand what the blue and red words mean and I also don't know why that reveals the faith of the woman.

Greetings! This is our new blog.. First of all, let me introduce what is this all about..

E427 is a cell group from City Harvest Church in S'pore.. This CG comprises of 14 members.. Which is such a large family.. But we still wanna grow!
