Chacchoben Costa Maya Excursions

The Chacchoben is the highlight and he most visited Mayan ruins site in Costa Maya. This site is an evidence of the greatness of one of the most brilliant nation of the world. Chacchoben was settled about 200 BC, the current buildings date around 700 AD so it is quite an old area. Maya Chan Beach Club

Maya Chan is exclusive all-inclusive beach club located minutes south of Puerto Costa Maya. Enjoy great white sandy beached, excellent snorkeling site, and wonderful beach activities including kayaking and cruiser bike. This is a rustic place with fantastic service, free flow drinks with some specialty drinks of your choice and great food; the grilled fish and fish taco are superb. The owner Mark, Jane, and their son David are fantastic; they will provide anything what they visitors ask. Just send them an email if you some concern, they will response you promptly.

If you require a secluded beach for some relaxing time this is the place. Maya Chan only accepts 60, booked before sailing is highly advice. The list price is $56/person; this fare includes transport to the resort and from the resort to the pier.

Nohoch Kay Beach Club

Nohoch Kay is located a little bit further down off Majahual. Take a taxi to the town and then walk down the Malecon to the resort; it’s the last beach on the strip. Nohoch Kay also an all-inclusive beach club, There’s a flat fee of $40 per person for the day which includes drinks (beer and frozen cocktails) and food. The food was fabulous, conch, shrimp ceviche, homemade chips, tacos and quesadillas. However the fare is not including transport to the resort, take at taxi or bus it only cost $3/person each way. Nohoch Kay only served 25 people so better book before sailing.

Another favorite beach club is Pez Quadro especially for those who don’t mind with a crowd busy beach. Costa Maya easily become favorite destination because of great beach and services their provide for the cruisers.

These places are the most popular Costa Maya excursions among cruises from Galveston island. However, not all cruises visited this port. Currently, only 6-day Carnival cruise from Galveston and 8-day Royal Caribbean Galveston listed this port as one of the destinations.

Carnival Triumph Staterooms

Your stateroom is place to rejuvenate your energy so you can have fun for the next cruise day and shore excursions. In general, Carnival Triumph staterooms are bigger compare to other cruises from Galveston, TX: Royal Caribbean cruise ship or Disney cruise ships.

Grand Cayman Island is popular destination of Carnival cruises Galveston, Royal Caribbean cruises, Disney cruises from Galveston as well as cruise from other US ports and Europe ports. Below a few ideas of Grand Cayman shore excursion.

Stingray City: top Grand Cayman excursions

Many cruisers say this is a must do when you are there. Swim with friendly stingrays in their natural environment, touch and feed them from your hand. Not enough? Then snorkel at beautiful Coral Gardens to admire sponges, tropical sea fishes, and coral. Don’t forget to bring your camera and video recorder.

Mastic Trail

You need at least two hours to do this trail through to swamp, native mangrove and a 2 million-year-old forest area to see the most colorful and unique plants. 7 miles Beach – Cemetery Beach and Reef

Seven Miles Beach considers the best Caribbean beach. One of the most popular sections of this very long beach is Cemetery beach. To get there you can take taxi (around $6 each way) or take a bus ($ 2.5). The Cemetery beach is great spot to try snorkeling for the first time.

This public beach located North of George Town. Many of Grand Cayman’s best resorts are situated on around the beach but it was not crowded at all.

Horseback riding on the beach

Enjoy unique experience riding and swim with a horse.  The tour usually started off along the coast, after about an hour the stable owner dismounting the horses, take the saddles off and ready to to go swimming on top of the horses, swimming for several minutes in the shallow water and then ready to go deep.

From the top of the horse, you can see the water is crystal blue. A few recommended stable for Swimming with horses are: Pampered Ponies and Spirit of the West.

Camp Carnival

Camp Carnival is specifically designed for 2 – 12 years old children so parents can relax and enjoy the vacations. Camp Carnival supervised by experienced team with youth counselors who are either college degree in a related field, have professional experience in childcare or both. For 2-8 years old children, Camp Carnival required sign in and out policy but 9-11 years old are free to come and go on their own from activities.

You will find your children never get bored; the play room on each Carnival ship comes so many toys, games, and puzzles for children.  There are different program each day but it always starts with Camp Carnival orientation meeting, family welcome aboard party and registration.

Camp Carnival activities for 2 – 5 years children

including toddler cocktail party, slumber party, Bunny night with face painting, there are also Playstation and Wii games, talent show, t-shirt painting, cooking decoration and many more.

Camp Carnival for juniors 6 to 8 years old

Juniors will enjoy fun-filled and exciting activities like spin art, dodgeball, volcano making and more. There are also cookie decorating, puppet shows, candy bingo, outdoor games, Disney Trivia, captain
planet, dance class with a carnival dancer, ship drawing competition and more.

Camp Carnival cruise ships for intermediates (9 to 12)

Children ages 9 through 11 can enjoy ping pong, cocktail party, follow the trail hunt, Playstation &
Wii games, dance classes, scavenger hunts, nightly shows in the theatre, meet a Carnival Dancer, ice cream eating contest and talent shows.

Infants under 2 are welcome in the playroom each evening from 10 p.m.-3 a.m. and on port days until 12 noon for babysitting.

Circle “C”

Carnival Circle “C” is designed for kids 12-14 and supervised and guided by experience youth staff to fulfill children vacation experiences. The children may choose the activities they wish to join and can come or go as they want, these activities running until past midnight.

Circle “C” playroom has vibrant design, has very comfortable seating and big windows picture creating fresh ambiance. The room equipped with Video games and large TV monitors, Karaoke system and dance floor with high-tech sound & lighting system and a touch-screen jukebox stocked with the latest hits.

The Circle C program are packed with activities from sports such as basketball and volleyball, water games to  dance and late-night movies as well as pool parties.

Club O₂

Club O₂ is offers music, entertainments, sports and mixed it together to deliver the best cruise experience for teenagers. The Club room is very spacious and can handle a lot of teenagers in one event. The program start with icebreaker games to let the teens know each other, after this first session usually teens will find their group and friends to hang out together on the cruise.

The night program is very special it usually involves music and dance. The songs from the latest hits which kinda cool for teenagers. Pool and waterslides

Pool and waterslides is favorite place for children and parents to spend quality time together and have a blast. Upon arriving in the pool area, you will need to sign-out a towel for use around the pool area, $22/towel charge will applied if you fail to return.

Carnival’s Twister water slide is 214′ long and Splash Park available on most Carnival cruise ships including Carnival Triumph, Carnival Conquest, and Carnival Ecstasy.   The Twister slide is 3-stories high and empties out into its own separate pool. Carnival Magic has its own special pool and water slides called “The Waterworks Aqua Park” which features not only a long spiraling slide that swirls around into an enormous funnel but also a giant waterslide that takes the shape of a huge corkscrew.

Carnival cruises from Galveston serve fresh beverages, beer and liquor. The prices almost the same as a bar at home, so not too bad.

City Sport Park

A City Sports Park is found on the sun deck of Carnival’s Triumph, Ecstasy and Conquest cruise ships. Here you can have a swinging good time at the 9-hole mini-golf course. Dolphins swim and ride at Chankanaab Park

Ride catamaran and reef snorkeling

Take a catamaran and enjoy 45 minute cruise to Isla Pasion, a beautiful picture perfect private island where white sandy beaches are surrounded by crystal clear turquoise waters. This excursion is suitable if you want gateway and day of relaxation away from crowds.

Then you can take 3 hours snorkeling to 3 best snorkel reefs in Cozumel: Colombia Shallows, Palancar Gardens and Cardona where average depth is 25-35 feet. Cozumel shore excursions: Nachi Cocom

Nachi-Cocom is an exclusive beach club at Cozumel, space for this beach break is limited to 100 guests per day so better make your reservation in advance. While Paradise Beach applies no admission fee, Nachi Cocom charges around $49 to enter. As bonuses all foods are free and drinks are free flow. They serve nachos, authentic chicken tortilla soup, fajitas, grilled fish with rice, and coconut ice cream. Foods are fantastic (one appetizer – one entree and a few deserts), some people it was better than regular food in the cruise ships.

Nachi Cocom Beach Club includes an open bar with unlimited domestic and top international brands including wine, cocktails, sodas, juices and of course cold beer. This club also equipped with a a large Jacuzzi, comfortable beach chairs, beautiful seaside swimming pool, swim up bar, and a huge palapa style restaurant.

Nachi Cocom also offers Jet Ski Rentals ($60/30 minutes), Parasailing ($60 per person for 15 minute) and snorkel excursion for about $35 per person. Taxi fare from the pier was approx $20 each way. Compare to other beach club Nachi Cocom is less crowded; to get there you can make reservation at Cozumelnachicocom.net.
