Building backlinks to your website is one of the most tedious tasks and obligations of a website- or blogmaster. It is however one of the utmost crucial ingredients in order to rank higher in the search engines – like Google. Without it a blog simply remains dead.

You see the confirmation of this each day. Thousands of link-sellers on multitudes of different websites busy with selling these bread-needed links – while others hungrily standing by to buy them. Sometimes even those bloggers giving up hope getting miserable at building Google-green backlinks to their websites over a leaped time, also later start to take part in these link-exchanging and link-selling practices – to fast-forward his/her own seo rankings. In spite of the fact that Google clearly stipulates that practices like these are forbidden and upon the finding of such websites participating in these acts – will get penalized. Whether temporarily (for a few months) or whether permanently.

So what good ways are there to build backlinks to your website?

There are quite many acceptable forms, through the eyes of Google, to build backlinks to a destined website. As we know it, backlinks counts as votes towards wherever it points to and passes ‘link juice’ or ‘pagerank juice’ ensuring that the domain or site url receiving these links ‘gains the power of the juices’ – reflecting thus in a better search engine position overall. However, despite the fact that the nature of backlinks have much remained the same (the way in how the internet is inter-connected and websites interspersed into each other) through the years – search engine companies such as Google constantly changes a lot of factors around backlink building. For example, one of the most simple ways in how Google keep advancing the way they organise rankings, is by scaling their pagerank upwards to a greater level at least once every year. This makes it difficult for everyone to gain Pagerank, as to get the same pr of 5 years ago may require 5 times more backlinks or even more. The purpose, though, of doing so is to discourage people to obtain backlinks in the way they shouldn’t. On doing this, Google is merely saying: You’re either going to need 10,000’s of low quality backlinks or a hundred high quality related backlinks to your website for equal effect You choose.

How to get 10,000’s of backlinks for free very fast

To keep this article short I will vaguely mention the two dominant ways in how to obtain viral backlinks to a blog or a website. Either way – this is to get site-wide backlinks. For those not knowing what these links are – I call them intelligent backlinks. They are backlinks that you gain, intelligently, from all of the pages from a website. The reward from this is that if you can spot established websites with 100’s of indexed pages, well, you’ll benefit greatly from it!

The easiest, cheapest way: Top commentator

The easiest way to get such backlinks is to comment relentlessly on all the dofollow websites that have the “Top Commentator” plugin installed. If you are still a bit puzzled about what I’m saying, let me be a bit more precise. Dofollow blog owners that install the plugin ‘top commentator’, normally do this to encourage people to comment a bit more on their websites. In doing so they also gain more visitors to their website – and this may results in more green-buck for them. Other than just merely commenting the usual way – just comment a bit more. In stead of commenting on one or two articles – do it on much more in reward of being listed on the 10 top commentators usually at the bottom of the homepage – or any other page on the website for that matter. In doing so, you won’t just have one or five comments with anchor text linking to your website – you’ll have backlinks from all the pages from that particular website. That may be 1000’s of bakclinks just with 20 or so comments!

As soon as you can find websites with this plugin installed always remember not to comment worthless comments – even if they aren’t spam. This is because of the fact that all of these websites with this plugin usually are up for moderation – while the moderator perhaps just might not like your comment and delete it.

Using this way to get keyword-rich anchor-text backlinks to your destined blog will have a downside, though. Many bloggers reset this plugin every few days and this means that you’ll need to comment all over again. However, reaping success from this method all depends on you. For example, is it too much asked if you find a few websites such as johnchow.com with 1000’s of indexed pages to comment on? Just finding 10 websites like this one ( blogs with at least 5,000 indexed pages) will give you 50,000 backlinks for free! All you really need to do is to maintain your comments, guard it, and protect it against other bloggers that would want to take away your position on the top commentator list. On average, expect to comment on these highly popular websites like johnchow.com to comment at least 30 comments in a week’s time. Do you think you’d be able to handle it?

Themes – it’s the most non-restless way to build 1 Million backlinks in a few months . . .

Perhaps this method might not be a new principle on building backlinks, but most people still don’t realise the comfort and simplicity of the viral optimal abilities of it – generating thousands of backlinks every single day.
Virtually every blogger online knows about the opensource CMS tool of Wordpress – and even those people becoming bloggers each day chooses Wordpress as a blogging platform above any other. On record, there are over 1 million theme downloads from Wordpress wordpress.org/extend/themes/ every day. This figure comes from new bloggers with newly created websites as well as established websites switching over to a “better” free theme – and even those bloggers who realizes the alternative of switching over to Wordpress permanently might be better. In these cases, it would tend that the bloggers are more established than newbies, thus would be installing a wordpress theme – rather keeping at the one which always says: “Just another Wordpress blog.”

Things to take into consideration:

Whenever you’d be designing a Wordpress theme, remember to build one around your niche or at least a design that more or less fits your own niche more proper. You can’t create a motor spares design theme for a clothing or merchant theme where the imagery will look quite different from each other. Secondly, you will need to stick a keyword-rich anchor-text backlink at the footer of your theme. At the end of the day, this is why you would have designed or created a theme in the first place – but be careful on the subject. This is exactly why I would recommend you to go with one niche rather than proceeding with two or more different ones all at once. You will need to build exceptionally quality themes. Wordpress aren’t going to except any just theme – but if the themes within wordpress are encouraging you, (if you think you can build better ones there already are) go for it.

But you can’t design: What now?

You have two options here and it’s quite simple. Either sponsor a wordpress theme or hire someone to design it for you, if you really don’t know any coding. Sponsoring a theme should be your easiest and fastest option while it’s the cheapest as well (opposed to getting a website designer). A sponsored theme will cost you anything between $14-$40. The best places to look for such people looking for sponsors are obviously at digitalpoint forums. However, make sure what the terms and conditions are. In other words make sure this person agrees on giving you the credit to put your link at the footer of the theme.

You may also hire someone for you to design a theme if you can’t design it yourself or if you have something more tactful in mind other than the sponsored themes. This may cost you quite a few hundred dollar bills. However, getting a designer to design a theme for you if you are most certain the sponsored themes are not quite error free and don’t have an immediate eye-catching design.

As long as the theme you come up with is a brilliant one, you would have no problem getting thousands of bloggers to download your theme. A very great-looking theme with no errors is crucial if you want bloggers to keep using your theme. In fact. If you can get the best theme on the table, who knows. The better established websites with thousands of indexed pages and good pagerank might decide to use your theme.

The primary goal of Firefox 4 development will be according to Mike, making Firefox “super-duper fast”. Other features which they are aiming at are enabling new open web standards and allowing more user control over the browser and their browsing.

Today, I presented an early product plan for Firefox 4 to the Mozilla community (live, over the web!) to share our vision for the next version of Firefox, and what projects are underway to realize it. Then I invited everyone to get involved by joining our engineering or product development efforts.

To better understand this, you can see the slide presentation Mike has prepared on his blog.

Firefox is quick to adapt to new web standards. Though, one thing to watch out for is how and by how much they are improving Firefox in terms of speed and making it super-duper fast as claimed. We can expect Firefox 4.0 by the end of this year.

Robots.txt Checker – Online tool to validate robots.txt file and to find errors

Search engines are friendly with a file called robots.txt, whenever bots visit your website they do check it. Robots.txt allows webmaster to restrict access or allow access to bots.

What does robots.txt file do?

A web robot or web crawler which first visits a website it looks up for the robots.txt files. For example when a search crawler looks up http://www.ePressDNA.com it will look up for http://www.ePressDNA.com/robots.txt.
This robots.txt actually allows and disallows a search engine to look up certain directories of a domain. For instance if you website has hosted a wiki you do not want to be accessible for search engines to look up, then that directory has to be excluded from looking up by a search engine.

About Robots.txt checker

The website allows you to enter any URL and check the robots.txt file. This scan is usually looks up errors based on what is disallowed.
It also shows up warning for any matches what might be misunderstood or ignored by search engine crawlers.

This is not really something that I would recommend webmasters to obsess over as usually most robots.txt of many websites are similar

Google Public DNS is a free DNS (Domain Name System) service announced on 3 December 2009, as part of Google’s effort to make the web faster. We received many emails regarding how to config or connect with Google DNS.To change your DNS to Google DNS, you need to do is edit your network settings. Which is very easy in windows. Find your active Internet connection. Either from notification area or from My Computer > My network places > Network connections.

Click on Properties > Internet Protocol >TCP/IP and change your settings in “use the Following DNS server ”

How to config DNS to Google DNS

In this screenshot my DNS is configured to use OPEN DNS , If you want to use Google DNS change it to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

What is DNS?

It’s often handled automatically by our Internet Service Provider (ISP), but it provides an essential function for the web. You could think of it as the switchboard of the Internet, converting easy-to-remember domain names — e.g.,www.google.com — into the unique Internet Protocol (IP) numbers — e.g., 74.125.45.100 — that computers use to communicate with one another.
