I will write On SEO, Web design, Graphic design and app design Skill. This is the first part of my Freelancing Skill development series. In this part I will talk about SEO (search engine optimization). I will write about Web design, Graphic design and app design Skill in my future post. I will use FAQ method in this post.
This is the first part of my Freelancing Skill development series. In this part I will talk about SEO (search engine optimization). I will write about Web design, Graphic design and app design Skill in my future post. I will use FAQ method in this post. Ok let’s play……

Is SEO demandable in freelancing industry?

Of course. SEO is one of the most demandable fields in freelance industry. Almost every website needs SEO. Just go to freelance sites like Odesk.com and check out.

Ok, where can I learn SEO online for free?

As I always say, internet is world’s best university. You will get almost any information here for free. So there are plenty of resources out there. If you are totally newbie I’d highly recommend SEOmoz training area. They also have paid membership but that cost too much. So, we will continue with free resource.

Go to http://www.seomoz.org/beginners-guide-to-seo and complete all those 10 chapters. After completing those chapter go to http://www.seomoz.org/resources and learn what you need.

And don’t forget to read the following parts from SEOmoz.
7 Days to SEO Success

The Beginner’s Checklist for Learning SEO
Perfecting Keyword Targeting & On-Page Optimization

All Links are Not Created Equal:10 Illustrations on Search Engines’ Valuation of Links

Search Engine Ranking Factors

Google Algorithm Change History

The Internet Marketing Handbook (A collection of good post on SEO must read all of those)

An understanding of SEO Keyword Research

Advanced Keyword Research for SEO

102 Ways To Make Your Site A Back-Link Superstar

If you read those resources successfully and understand, you will become an SEO expert in no time. Mind it don’t skip any of those resource read completely.

I have complete those resources now what?

I am assuming that you have completed all of those above resources successfully. So now you know a lot about SEO. But keep in mind that Google always update its algorithm as you learn it from Google Algorithm Change History. So you need to learn new techniques each time they update their algorithm. And that’s why you need to read top SEO blogs all the time to stay up to date with SEO. So I am going to list few top blogs on SEO. So that you can stay in touch.

SEOmoz blog

SEObook blog

http://searchengineland.com

http://searchenginewatch.com/

Always visit those blogs for updated SEO news.

Ok, I have completed everything, what next?

Congrats! But always keep in mind none can say he has completed SEO. SEO is continually upgrading and you need to upgrade your skill as well regularly. Now you can use your SEO skill on your own sites and you can be freelancer SEO expert to help other. You can make your own blog on SEO and share your knowledge and join freelance sites like odesk and offer your skill.

Is there any institute to learn SEO in Bangladesh?

Unfortunately, most of the SEO training institutes aren’t up to the mark. But there are quite few quality institutes out there. DevsTeam is one of the best places to learn SEO. If you are for a while in freelancing you suppose to know that DevsTeam has won Freelancer.com SEO competition where so many SEO firm participated from all over the world. So they know SEO stuff. You can check out their sites for more info Devsteam SEO training

And if you are in Khulna, you are welcome to my office. We also offer SEO training. Check out our sites Microunique

Quality content is essential to any successful SEO campaign. Working as a writer for a firm doing SEO, our client’s websites thrive on it. However, when you’re trying to simultaneously appeal to human readers and search engines—things can get a little tricky. You have to ensure your content is conversational and fresh in order to draw in human readers, while at the same time it needs to be clear to search engines so they can read it and match it properly to human search queries.

Good thing for rich snippets—or content summaries that accompany the Google search engine results (SERPs) for your blog articles when they appear in the main listings. The idea is that rich snippets can help both the search engines and humans launching a Google search find the exact content their looking for online. Rich snippets work by providing extra clarification for web searchers in the world of post-Google Penguin update.

For example, when you submit a search query for a “chicken curry recipe” in Google, you might get a result accompanied by text that reads the following:

“This chicken curry recipe has an average user rating of 6.0 based on 10 reviews…if you like this recipe, you will also enjoy the following recipes.”

This is a rich snippet and the idea behind it is that search engine surfers will have a better understanding of the relevancy and quality of the clickable links before them—depending on how they relate to their own personal search, of course.

Currently, if you do a general search for just about anything these days, you’ll see many SERPs accompanied by similar rich snippet text to help give users a sense of the content quality as well as if it’s relevant to their search query. Essentially, the snippets are meant to add “rich” details to the search engine result in order to make it clearer so people can decide to click or not, depending on what they’re looking for.

It just goes to show how far the search engines have evolved. Keyword matching isn’t enough any longer—exact meaning is now the name of the game and those searching have come to expect that when they use Google to search for everything from personal trainers to real estate agents.

For companies with business blogs, rich snippets offer a whole bunch of opportunities when it comes to SEO, including:

Providing exact information as it relates to their individual search query

If your result is particularly relevant users will be more certain to click through

So rich snippets not only increase click-through rates for relevant users—they decrease bounce rates for non-relevant searchers

And, if you happen to be using your business blog to showcase expert articles with authors attached to each article, you can see how adding a bit of explanatory text under the search result—such as the author’s picture, name, a Google+ user rating, and a link to “more by this author”—to each article would be beneficial for your click through rate.

What’s the usefulness of that added info? Well, there would be definite worth if users are familiar with the author’s name and expertise as many are becoming. The idea of their name, photo, and a link other articles they’ve written will often lead readers to click because they’re already familiar with the author’s other works, they’ve established these authors as experts in their niche, and they know they will get quality content if they click.

How to add rich snippets to your blog

Now that you understand how rich snippets can help you search for relevance faster you see them in the SERPs—and now that you have an idea of what rich snippets can actually do to boost your relevant blog traffic—you’re next step will be to get on board if you feature these types of authored articles on your site. First, you’ll need to create Google+ account in order to add rich author snippets. And secondly, you’ll need to do your own research to see how to add them to your own blog content management system—be it WordPress, Blogger, or another platform. Whatever it is, now you have the gusto and the know-how from reading this article to go forth and recognize the valuable information thanks to rich snippets in your search query. Look for them as you research for the most quality content.

<![endif]-->Quality content is essential to any successful SEO campaign.

So here I am going to highlight few very common yet dangerous link building mistakes to avoid in post penguin link building. Mistake No. 1: All links point to home page Most of the web masters want to rank their home page for targeted keywords. Its OK there is no problem with it.
After Google’s most recent penguin update, the total scenario of SEO has been changed. Today backlink isn’t everything but still backlinks play very important role is search ranking. But you need to be smarter than ever before while building links to your site. Unfortunately there are lots of web masters out there still making quite a lot link building mistakes and ruining their search rank and the funny side is they even not noticed about their mistakes. So here I am going to highlight few very common yet dangerous link building mistakes to avoid in post penguin link building.

Mistake No. 1: All links point to home page

Most of the web masters want to rank their home page for targeted keywords. Its OK there is no problem with it. But the problem occurs when web masters point all of their links to their home page. It’s a serious mistake to point all of your links to your home page and so many web masters make while building backlinks. So while building backlink it’s better to mix up you link with home page and as well as inner pages. That will make link building more natural.

Mistake No. 2: Using same anchor text for all backlinks

We need to try making our backlinks look as natural as possible. Now please use your common sense if you would get natural backlinks from other webmasters, would all of them use same anchor text while linking to your site? Of course not. And this is why we should not use same anchor text for all of our backlinks. Suppose you have a web site where you provide logo design service, so you want to get rank for keyword “logo design service”. What will you do while link building? I am sure you will build backlink with anchor text “logo design service”. Well, that’s ok. But problem will occur when you will use “logo design service” as anchor text for all of your backlinks. You should not do this instead you can do keyword research and target few more keywords like quality logo design, business logo design, fast logo design etc. and mix up your backlinks with those anchor text. You must check our SEOmoz post on anchor text optimization where they said that 35% targeted keyword and 65% non-targeted anchor text will be perfect mix while link building.

Mistake No 3: You are not social

All we know after Google’s latest update, Google is not depending heavily on backlinks to determine the search ranking. Google is now focusing social signal for any web pages to rank those in search engine. So if your site isn’t doing well in social media, you are more likely not getting desire search rank. So it’s time to be social. Try to focus building strong appearance in social media for SEO purpose

Mistake No 4: You are still buying backlinks

I am not telling that paid link doesn’t work for ranking. But there is a chance of getting caught by Google. And now Google is smarter enough than ever before to catch you. So it’s always better to use alternative techniques than buying backlinks for SEO purpose. You can check out this post how he got caught by Google

Mistake No 5: Hiring cheap link builder

Most of the web master depends heavily on cheap freelancer link builder from Odesk.com or freelancer.com. Those cheap link builders don’t even have enough SEO knowledge. So they spam other sites and build lots of spammy backlinks and those links don’t help at all even lead to get ban from Google. So its better try to find quality link builder just don’t look for cheap link builder. So don’t think if you hire cheap link builder, you will able to save money but that’s not the case. Those all are total waste of your money even your site can get penalize in Google.

Mistake No 6: Depending on automated backlinks

Even though Google have publicly declared war against automated backlinks, still there are lots of web master out there depending on automated backlinks using softer like seonuke, xrumer, scrapebox etc. But those links are totally useless nowadays. If you are still depending on those backlinks, you should change your link building strategy otherwise you might even get ban from Google.

Mistake No 7: Building only do follow backlinks

Yes, I know search engine only count dofollow backlinks. But it’s not a good idea to build 100% do follow backlinks. It’s better to mix it up with few nofollow links. You should built at least 2-3% nofollow links that will make your link building more natural

Mistake No 8: Not using junk words like click here, Check out etc. as anchor text

Yes, you hear it right. You need to use junk anchor text like click here, check out, this post etc. as anchor text. This will make your backlinks look more natural.

Bottom line:

Google always likes natural backlinks. So we should make our link building looks as much as natural as possible. We should keep in mind that main purpose of one backlink is making the whole web world better and creating value and helping Google. Google always hate to see sites trying to rank high in Google by forcing it’s algorithm.

It takes real, hard work to establish yourself in the blogosphere, hard work and savvy people skills; it doesn’t hurt to write about a popular niche either.
By now you should know that there’s more to blogging than setting up a WordPress account and hoping for the best. It takes real, hard work to establish yourself in the blogosphere, hard work and savvy people skills; it doesn’t hurt to write about a popular niche either. Successful blogging is about finding your voice in an ongoing conversation, and then sharing your opinions about that conversation to people who might benefit from your advice. It takes time to cultivate a strong web personality and an equally strong readership, and even longer to have a successful (profitable) blog.

If you’ve been having trouble keeping your blog afloat, you might benefit from these habits that I’ve noticed in the most successful bloggers I follow. Give these habits some thought, they might help you too.

They’re always watching for the latest trend

A wise blogger never settles for the status quo. They’re constantly exploring new avenues to uncover or topics that might bolster the blog’s readership or garner more attention from bigger blogs. To do that, bloggers diversify their content, but do so gradually and with an eye for what works and what doesn’t. The best way to diversify and expand the content on your blog is to slowly include posts and links that refer to big trending topics, whether that’s the potential ‘next biggest thing in social media’ or an up-and-coming musician. The only way that you find and include this content on your blog is to be actively searching for it at all times, so think about that the next time you idly browse the web.

They’re constantly networking and expanding

Great bloggers don’t just expand their content base; they also expand their readership and their relationships with fellow bloggers. The best way to expand in this area is to get out in the web and interact with people who might be interested in your blog. You can do this any number of ways. You can start conversations with people through social media pushes on Facebook and Twitter, initiating a dialogue on a subject that has some relevance to your blog’s subject. You could also do it the old fashioned way and guest post for bigger blogs in hopes that their readers will click through your byline to your website. The important thing is that you’re constantly networking, and that you do so without coming off as a spammer who’s just looking to beef up their readership for the sake of making more money.

They’re responsive to readers

The worst thing you could do as a blogger is neglect the readers that you already have. These people are the base of your blog, the core that keeps your blog alive as you experiment with posts and new ventures. The least that you can do to keep your readers happy is to deliver as a webmaster, whether that means responding to comments on a post or featuring content that they want to read. It doesn’t take much time to respond to comments, nor does it take much time to respond to emails. Doing so will endear you to your readers, and it ensures that they’ll come back for the next post.

What are your habits for successful blogging?

Since they are totally newbie and know nothing about odesk, they requested me to give there SEO (search engine optimization) exam on the behalf of them. I know lots of newbie freelancers are joining in odesk. So I decided that if i publish a post with answer of all SEO question that might help so many newbie freelancer in odesk.

But I would request all of you that you must complete odesk SEO syllabus and will learn all the necessary skill regarding SEO. Please don’t just copy cut this answer and make good point in odesk exam. Please try to learn all of those question and answer.

Note: Please keep in mind that odesk always ask same question but never in same order. So my first question might come last in odesk test.

Here is the question and answer.

Odesk officially emailed and requested me To removed the answer. And as blogger I had to show honor to their request. So I have removed the answer. I am sorry for this.

Thanks

Internet writing differs from traditional writing in many ways. Using tactics that are common for traditional writing may instead turn off readers. Then, of course, there are the major mistakes the inexperienced may make that seem inconsequential. In truth, there are a number of contributors that can help you build or lose your reader base.

Original Content
A website or blog needs to feature original content. First, let’s set aside the obvious moral ramifications of stealing another person’s work. The page will end up penalized by search engines when they sniff out the similarities (and they will!). Should a person researching the subject matter stumble on your post and the borrowed material, they will write both off since they know one is untrustworthy. It is fine to use a piece of work as inspiration or even as a guideline, just ensure that the final piece is original.

Length and Organization
Concise writing is the key to capturing and keeping readers. Get to the point as efficiently as you can with the supporting evidence needed. In most cases, an optimal word count is going to come in between 500-600 words. A subject that requires more attention than that on a blog is better split up into a pair of 300-400 word posts rather than one 800 word post. Be certain to use sub-headers in longer text so the reader can skim the material for what they are looking for.

Speak Plainly
Many professional websites make the mistake of using technical speak to try and communicate with their audience. That’s a great approach if your audience is other professionals that understand it. Customers, on the other hand, come from all walks of life and areas of education. Avoid using jargon or technical speak in your content. Communication is vitally important to establishing a bond of trust with a reader (or a potential customer!).

Build Credibility
Producing writing for a business blog or website is a different endeavor than a personal one. A personal website can be representative of your quirks, interests, and beliefs. A business website needs to stay purely objective in approach unless it is clearly stated to be opinion. Stick with writing that is factually relevant and backed by 3rd party resources. Attempting to pass off an opinion as fact will eventually backfire when someone points out that the text was wrong or dishonest.

Quality Control
Spelling and grammar are two areas that are often overlooked on the internet. Disruptions such as these in the text will take the mind of the reader off of what they’re processing and instead focus it on the mistake. Ideally, have a second person read through the piece to look for any errors before publishing it. Reading the work out loud to yourself is an excellent way to pick up on problems in the flow or construction of the work. Either you, or another, must read it through again to look for errors. Spell check will not pick up misused words such as “their/they’re/there”. A reader finding those mistakes will assume you do not care about detail.

Quality Not Quantity
Do not speed your way through the creation process or research. The content you post will be on the internet for a very long time. Put together a good, fact-driven piece once a week and after a few months you’ll have the platform for an authoritative presentation. Those posts will still be providing benefit several years down the road. You lose that with rushed or botched work.

Creating quality, effective writing that people want to read is work. It is no different than building a bookshelf in using the right tools and materials to create something useful. A busy business owner or webmaster may not be able to devote the kind of time required to producing that work. If you cannot dedicate that time to the writing, it is more prudent to take a look at some of the affordable ghostwriting services on the internet that can create original work catered to your website or industry.

If you’ve been blogging for sometimes now then you will know how important marketing is when it comes to building a successful blog. Traffic is the most important thing when it comes to marketing your blog and there are various ways to drive traffic to your blog. One of my favorite approaches towards driving traffic to your blog is by marketing your blog on forums. This article will be giving you a few tips to help you grow your blog by marketing it on forums.

The Importance of Contribution

When some people hear about forum marketing the first thing that comes to their mind is that they should start posting links to their blogs or to their latest blog posts on forums, the reality about this is that you will end up getting banned on your favorite forum.

When it comes to growing your blog by using forums one of the most important things you need to learn how to do is contribute to forums. Instead of posting links to your latest blog posts on it make sure you spend your time creating valuable threads and replying to other people’s threads.

Learning to Brand Yourself

The next step you have to take to take your contribution to the next level is to brand yourself. This means you should have a clear avatar that depicts your brand and business while also going the extra mile to make yourself recognized on the forums.

A great way to make sure you’re recognized on your favorite forum is by looking for a popular section of the forum related to your blog and by doing everything you can to make yourself the top contributor on this forum. This means you should be actively creating great trends on that particular section of the forum, you should also be investing more time into replying to other people’s thread and giving people valuable answers to their questions.

By doing this you will be able to gain the trust of the forum members and people will see you as someone who is there to contribute, not just someone who is looking for a link to his blog.

Making Effective Use of Your Signature

The above two techniques are used to be able to gain the trust of the members of your favorite forum. The next thing you should do is to write a clear signature that makes it clear who you are – that signature will be like your author bio or your ad, so that whenever people read your threads and love it they will be able to click to your blog.

It is very important to make effective use of clear call to actions telling people what to do and where to click when writing your signature. It is also very important that you limit the number of links available – instead of having 3 to 4 links in your signature you can reduce it to 1 or 2 as this will be making it easy for the readers of your signature to take action.

Do you need tactics to make your blog profitable?
How much success have you achieved since you started blogging?
I’m sure setting up a blog is easier than building a responsive readership for it. However, blogging is a business and as such, you need to be mindful of what you write and how well you interact with your readers.

One good thing you could do for yourself is avoid tarnishing your image. Once you have built trust with people who can’t wait to read your next post, you should take it up from there and ensure the trust continues for a long time.

These few nuggets can help you climb the ladder of success faster than you imagined.

(1). Explore Your Business
As a business, you need to constantly explore, and improve on your knowledgebase. You can’t possibly give what you don’t have, and that is why if not totally, being ahead of your readers is fabulous. Your blog readers have already perceived you as an expert; don’t allow them to think otherwise.

(2). Network with Top Bloggers
How else would you prove your sincerity and faithfulness, if not with other respected bloggers in your niche? When you liaise with some of the famous bloggers, people would begin to give credence to your works. Blog readers believe that a successful blogger cannot do anything to adulterate her image.

One best way to get in touch with top bloggers is to attend seminars, workshops and be a part of their joint venture giveaway. By getting connected with one person who is successful already, you would be able to meet his/her friends and colleagues – it’s all about networking!

(3). Guest Post Consistently
We all need traffic as bloggers. I’m yet to see someone who is satisfied with the amount of traffic they get. One fantastic way to boost your popularity and drive targeted readership to your blog is by submitting quality guest post. Have you neglected this lately?

Do get back to it. It’s paying great dividends right now, as more bloggers are now accepting guest posts. There are so many benefits attached to guest posting, but the greatest is the fresh readers you attract to your blog everyday.

(4). Appreciate Your Readers
Have you built a decent readership on your blog? You need to start appreciating them. Without these people, your blog would suffer. All the success and failure you must have witnessed is as a result of what you did or did not do with your blog readers. You need to start appreciating their effort – it’s not an easy task to consistently read another person’s blog, show them that you care. How?

Sometimes, give them free gifts. Allow them to download a free report that is of high quality, or give them instant access to a membership site that has a lot to offer.

Aside this, writing quality posts that will add value to their lives, solve that particular problem they are facing is a fantastic way to appreciate your readers.

(5). Give yourself a break
You deserve a break, don’t you think so? The best way to boost your energy and come back full of ideas is to take a break. Don’t be overly engrossed in your blogging career that you forget to take care of your family. I thought you started your own online business in order to have time for your lovely family and friends?

You can achieve much more when you relax, read other people’s blog and give your frank comments. You also need ideas for your blog posts, by reading e-books, newspapers and taking a walk to your local library, you will definitely enrich your life and become more productive ultimately.

So there you have it, if you have gained one thing or the other right here, why not say something and let’s all learn together. As you plan on doing that, remember that action is the only solution to stagnancy. Go take action today!
