With the recent disaster in Japan, there has definitely been an up-tick in emergency backup preparedness and rightfully so. How helpless would you feel if your local power grid was knocked out by catastrophe and you had nothing but candles and some old batteries in the drawer that didn’t last too long. Forget about trying to run to the store now to get them. Couldn’t picture what you would be saying to yourself at that moment? Now think about how much better you would feel if you were prepared because you have a some back up power from a Solar Generator Kit to run your emergency radio, a lamp, charge up your cell phone, laptop, mini fridge, or whatever else you may need to keep you in tune and get you by in an emergency. You have the option to hardwire 110v house power (if you don’t know electric, get an electrician to do this part) into the battery box to trickle charge the housed batteries and have the 12v 140 watt solar panel act as a backup method of charging the batteries when your household power goes out. Or you can just connect the solar panel only and your system will only charge up the batteries via solar power. Gas generators only last so long before they need more gas and you know expensive gas is these days, and just imagine the lines to get it. Instead go with the clean and quiet energy alternative that recharges from the power of the sun. Listen to your instinct and get prepared.
