just wondering if anyone else is goin me and three mates are ,got our tickets earlier this week.

The Incredible Ride dealer tour will be presented by Nick Sanders as a multi-visual media show. Meet Nick Sanders and come and have a look at the Super Tenere on which he rode 51 000 miles.

I'm looking for suggestions on bike choice. I want to spend around the £2K mark and I'm looking for a mid size naked type bike preferably with a standard fairing but it must have a gear indicator as I find I'm always in the wrong gear.
Clearly this will be an older bike as I have a Honda CB500 at the moment.
So is there a popular, easily available spares, cheap to insure alternative out there?
Another Honda?

Anyone got an recommendations for insurers that actually insure you for mods on bikes - Bennets can fuck off and it looks like CIA insurance can fuck off too......Not asking a lot to fully comp my R1 with full Akro system and some BSTs on it now is it?!?!?!!!

I would like to thank Paul and Anglia Rider Training Ltd
On 24th Jan Ashley passed his theory test First time
Paul then had Ashley on Sat 28th Jan and trained him for his mod 1
which he passed first time on Tues 31st Jan,
Ashley then had a day training on Thurs 2nd Feb and took his mod 2 test
on the 3rd Feb and has passed first time with Zero faults
Well done Ashley you have done amazingly well and all in 11 days
L plates torn up

Like the look and style of Yamaha XJ600, Suzuki GS500/GSX/SV650 but will look at anything!

I'm in Bury St Edmunds so closer the better, but can travel collect etc

Not sure if this helps, but I read some pointers on a classic car racing web page re ethanol content and associated damage. Not sure how accurate content is, but it seemed well researched. Anyway, I'm filling up with Total or Texaco Super since reading their findings: See below:

BP Ethanol added at 5% to unleaded petrol at all sites across the UK. BP Ultimate (super unleaded) does not have Ethanol added, except in the South West of England.
Esso Ethanol is added at 5% to unleaded petrol at most sites in the UK. Esso Super Unleaded petrol does not contain Ethanol, except in the South West of England (Devon & Cornwall)
Shell Shell has repeatedly refused to answer the question. It is therefore an assumption only, that all Shell petrol should be considered to contain 5% Ethanol.
Texaco Ethanol is added at 5% to unleaded petrol. Texaco Super Unleaded petrol does not contain Ethanol.
Total Ethanol is not added to any Total fuel (including standard unleaded petrol). Except in the North West and South East of England.
