Começaram por moldar plasticina dando formas a objetos sólidos. Depois inseriram-nos em diferentes recipientes que posteriormente foram todos cheios com a mesma quantidade de água ( 0,5l).<br />

No âmbito do programa de Estudo do Meio estamos a estudar o esqueleto humano. Assim, pareceu-nos interessante desenvolver uma experiência no Ensino Experimental sobre essa temática.</div>

O esqueleto é composto por vários tecidos, entre eles o tecido ósseo, cuja dureza é notada devido à existência de sais minerais muito importantes, entre eles os de cálcio, magnésio e fósforo.</div>

Estes sais minerais estão presentes, não só nos ossos mas também noutras estruturas como as unhas ou os dentes, e são obtidos através da ingestão de alimentos como os lacticínios (leite, iogurtes, queijo, natas e manteiga), ovos, peixe, vegetais (frutas e legumes).</div>

Os sais de cálcio, carbonato de cálcio ou fosfato de cálcio quando estão em presença de substâncias ácidas sofrem desgaste, são corroídos e desaparecem.</div>

Quando mergulhas o ovo no vinagre, começam a formar-se bolhinhas de gás à volta do ovo – esse gás é o dióxido de carbono. A casca do ovo vai ficando mais fina e passados alguns dias ela desaparece totalmente.</div>

No entanto o ovo não se espalha no frasco porque o ovo tem uma outra armadura, a película que agora se vê á resistente aos ácidos.</div>

A casca do ovo assim como a concha e o osso de galinha têm uma substância designada de carbonato de cálcio que aos tornam duros. O vinagre reage com o carbonato de cálcio, formando gás (dióxido de carbono) e os resíduos de cálcio ficam à superfície do vinagre. A casca do ovo desaparece porque é gasta nesta reacção.</div>

Ao longo do ano os alunos foram treinando estas categorias e, de acordo com os resultados ao longo do ano, foram escolhidos 4 em cada turma para representar cada uma das categorias.
