I flipped through the art portfolio and spotted this beauty; while I’m not a huge Powergirl fan the single colour work grabbed my attention.  A welcome addition to my collection.

]]> http://art.ebabble.net/more-certa-joe-palooka-pages.htm/feed 0 Certa Little Max pages http://art.ebabble.net/certa-little-max-pages.htm http://art.ebabble.net/certa-little-max-pages.htm#comments Thu, 08 Jul 2010 16:15:30 +0000 Scott http://art.ebabble.net/?p=347 Some more items from my recent comic shop purchase.  They’re clearly labeled Joe Palooka issue 52 pages 29 and 30, but no creator credits.  A bunch of internet searching didn’t get me closer to that information, but Comic Book Database shows this issue drawn by Joe Certa.  Unfortunately I can’t confirm if that’s the entire issue including backup features like Little Max.  These caught my eye because they were “twice up” art pages, common before the seventies when most comic art switched to size we’re used to now.  Page 29 is missing the masthead or logo for Little Max which would have been nice to have.
