Binatone, who are known for making a wide range of consumer electronics, phones and so on, have launched their latest toy, an ereader – The Binatone ReadMe Colour.

This bog standard TFT screened ereader is really a very old fashioned gadget, and really only worth considering because of its relatively low price. As you will see below from its specifications, it has a battery life that makes even an iPad look good, in spite of being no more than a very simple and limited ereader (I can only assume the screen they have chosen to use is wildly inefficient in its use of power).

Whilst I imagine that most Nook owners will have discovered this for themselves, there are always a few individuals who have not stumbled upon this wonderful side of ebooks… the free reads.
