I'm back and that means picture time!!!

Holy cow, I can't believe I haven't posted since last November! First, I wanna thank all those who chose me to do their pictures last fall! It was such an amazing experience with lots of great clients who thought enough of my work to trust me to photograph their beautiful families! I learned a lot about trying to work full time, do photography on the side all while being a mom and wife! It was hectic at times but I've been able to learn from it and I hope things will be even better this upcoming spring/summer! Speaking of spring, can you believe how lucky we've been with this amazing weather!? I've already done a session this spring and the trees where in bloom which in turn made some wonderful back drops! I'm busy making my spring session schedule up so stay tuned to this website for more information to book a session with me! I hope to have everything laid out by the end of this week! Thanks again for every one's support, it means the world to me!

Between computer gremlins that are causing my programs to be slow, my very rambunctious kiddos (that's the polite name) that apparently had loads of energy and the tons of unbelievably cute photos I had to sort through of this family, I thought I would never get this sneak peek up! So here we are! This family is adorable and I'm just smitten with Ms. Brooke! She is adorable! It took a little time for her to warm up but once she did she is just so darn photogenic! I have to thank my wonderful assistant today for helping entice those smiles out of Ms. Brooke! Thanks Payton, I owe ya one bud! Enjoy!

Thankfully I was able to get one shoot out of three that were scheduled this weekend! Darn wind! But it is November in Kansas so I'm not surprised! Anyways, this sneak peak is for Valerie and her beautiful daughters! It was cold and a little windy but these brave girls sucked it up and were troopers! Such a beautiful family and Lina is so full of energy! Poor girl took a tumble at the end of the shoot and got a fat, bloody lip but the report from mom is that she is ok! Thanks Val, Sierra and Lina for braving the cold today! Enjoy!

Below are the dates I have left for fall shoots. Of course, keep in mind, the weather is getting much colder now and these dates are dependent upon that. I think a family picture with fun stocking caps, scarves and mittens would be really cute and fun though! Just a reminder, for $100 you will get a cd of the shoot with a minimum of 15 edited pictures. This includes 1 to 1 1/2 hours at one location of your choice and your choice of a combination of family and individual shots. You are free to then print these pictures wherever you choose. Contact me by leaving a comment on this post or facebook me! Also, your cd will be ready within a couple of days!

I had the extreme honor of photographing my beautiful niece and handsome nephew tonight! I just might be a little bit biased here but seriously, the cuteness is overwhelming!! Macamey was in such a good mood and Caden was such a trooper and is such a great big brother! Enjoy!

Today turned out to be a great day to take this beautiful family's pictures for more than one reason! First, the little guy in the pics, Carson, was not very pleased the last time I took his pictures. I shot his newborn pics a couple of months ago and he wasn't having it at all! Thank goodness he gave us a window of opportunity to be able to take some great shots! What a cutie! Hang in there mom and dad, the colicky stuff does eventually go away, I promise! Plus this day was just beautiful and the trees are finally starting to change color! Woohoo!

I will be posting new dates and times for a couple of more slots I have available this coming month. It will be getting colder but as long as it's not raining, snowing or bitterly cold I will be out there taking pictures!

So I had the pleasure of taking my parents pictures the other day! I was feeling under the weather but it was such a beautiful day that I couldn't pass up the chance! They have been married 35 years next month and I can't even remember the last time they had their pictures done. Welcome! Time for fall photos!

First off, thank you to all those who have left nice comments on my pictures on facebook! I really enjoy taking pictures and I'm excited to start a whole new site in order to share even more with you! I basically started this site to keep from clogging my facebook up and to keep you up to date on what is new with my photography endeavor! I know not everyone wants to see every session I do so what better way to keep sharing then to create this blog! So please bookmark or subscribe to this blog! Thanks!

Secondly, fall is finally here and I'm ready to take some pictures of your beautiful families, kids, etc! Now through the end of October is prime time to get your fall pictures done. I have a number of locations that would make great backdrops! I'm also open to any of your suggestions for locations that you desire for your photo sessions. I'm currently offering one to two slots on days that I'm doing shoots. One in the morning and one in the early evening. These are the best times to get that natural light! Morning sessions start at 8am and evening sessions start at 4:30pm. These times are subject to change once the we get later in the month. Here are the current dates I have open for the month of October!

21st- pm session only

22nd- am session only

30th- am and pm session

If none of these dates work for you, please contact me and lets see what we can work out! Once a date is booked, I will remove it from the list above.

Sessions last anywhere from 45 minutes to 60 minutes. These are single family/single location slots but I'm willing to do multi-family sessions or multiple locations if needed. Just contact me for more details.

For $100 you will get a CD with a minimum of 15 edited photos from your session. You are free to upload and print your pictures from your favorite photo printing site. If you need suggestions as to what photo printing site to use just ask and I will send you in the right direction!
