As the ECBI expands its reach to include new communities and organizations additional instructors will be needed to facilitate the comic creation process. In order to maintain consistency and quality assurance an ECBI certification will be required. ECBI certified instructors are eligible to receive a stipend for their work. 

Our next instructor training session is June 17^th and is limited to 25 participants for each session. Lunch and supplies will be provided. Registration fee of $20 can be made in advance through check or day of event.  Please make all checks payable to the Elyria Comic Book Initiative

Create an original piece of art and submit it to the ECBI for a pair of movie tickets for the upcoming IRON MAN 2 movie. Contest Entry Form
Return this form to the ECBI via email or return to one of the participating comic book shops: Astound Comics in Westlake, Keith’s Comics in Elyria or Carol & John’s in Cleveland. All entries must be received by Tuesday May 4th, 2010. Entries will become property of the ECBI and can be used for marketing purposes. Submit email entries to contact@elyriacomicbookinitiative.org

You can bring your entry to our booth at the store on Free Comic Book Day (Saturday May 1st) Please include your name, age, email, phone number, address & store submitted to on the back of this sheet, or include all info in your email. One grand prize winner and one runner-up winner per store.

Please join us for an Open House.

Come experience the magic of Digital Discovery Center and the Elyria Comic Book Initiative. The joint partnership will host an open house to celebrate its upcoming “create a comic book” after-school program.

All are welcome to attend. Tour the facility, and meet the staff. Come say hello. Wednesday, April 14th from 4 pm until 6 pm.

The ECBI is currently sponsoring the comic book workshop at Eastern Heights Middle School in Elyria.

The ECBI is currently conducting programing at the Elyria Save Our Children. This program is sponsored by the Silver Wheels Cycling Club. Student will be creating bike safety-themed comic books.

The ECBI and Porter Public Library have partnered to provide the ECBI comic book workshop as part of its summer reading programming. Check back for futher details in the coming months!
