Tonight's episode is about the Raging Grannies. As promised, I'm going to add some links to the show notes.

First, the Raging Grannies International homepage. Here's the Raging Grannies of Seattle (their page has a looping wave file of one of their songs - I don't think they sound bad at all, contrary to what I said in the podcast).

There are webpages for many Granny Gaggles, so I'm not going to list them all, but you can easily find a lot of info using this google search.

The two books are available at these online stores, among many others:
The Raging Grannies (Carole Roy) Chapters Amazon.com
Off Our Rockers (Acker/Brightwell) Chapters Amazon.com

Here is a Quill & Quire review of both books.

The song at the end is indeed by David Craig Simpson, and it's "If I Can't Get To London" from his first album, Shiver.

By the way, in Nintendogs, I now have Mario's hat. It's very nifty!

Eclectic City - dead air

Hi, folks. No podcasts for a week. Yeah, I know. Reason is that my headset died, and I've just figured out how to rig the most ghetto setup ever. I've got my mp3 player's earbuds and a microphone going through my speakers' jacks and those go back into my sound card. All it's missing is duct tape.
So, soon. You'll all get to hear about the Raging Grannies!

Eclectic City 3 - Katamari Damacy

Tonight's topic is about really bizarre but incredibly fun video games. Specifically, Katamari Damacy and Will Wright's upcoming Spore. Next week's show is about the Raging Grannies! My email is still elixpod@gmail.com.
