Is Terra Nova Cancelled yet? Well the jury is out on the shows upcoming fate. It appears that there is some doubt surrounding whether or not the show should be cancelled after only a tiny 13 episode run.

Sure this exceptionally expensive TV Mega Show costs millions to produce, but the ratings have been dismal in comparison to the other drama shows of it’s kind. Sure it’s family friendly, and has a host of special effects dinosaurs ranging from docile to downright vicious.

But people just don’t watch it.

At least they don’t watch it enough.

It seems like shows with huge budgets, and crazy special effects are not going to stick like producers thought they we’re. In order for a show like Terra Nova to be profitable for all the players, it would need to be consistently the most popular show in a prime time slot for the ad dollars to cover the costs.

But the math just doesn’t add up.

It appears that NASA has it on the mind to lend out their old Space Shuttle Artifacts. That’s right, you could get your hands on some slightly used space crap. The purpose of it all of course would be for education or something like that, but there are some pretty crazy things on the list. And if the artifact is not requested, it may even be for sale.

So what is there that NASA is just giving away? Mostly junk it looks like, for example a used space glove (so hoooot!), an old IBM computer, and stuff like that. But you could get your hands on a used set of space shuttle tires! Imagine rolling with your homies on those suckas!

I really think my favorite part is when she schools the first photog with her magic mic weapon. Really good mic fighting chops if you ask me… And what is up with the super fake background on the drive part…. I could have done better than that! What do you think?

Recently, based very loosely on an idea that I gleaned from listening to my main man Guy Kawasaki I got to thinking about getting over the startup hump. What does it take to move from wantrepreneur to actual business owner? How hard is it to just start? How hard is it to really get off the ground and get the ball rolling?

Now I will be the first to admit, that I am guilty of being on the wrong side of this question many times before. There have been numerous times in my life when I have been sitting around with friends or day dreaming at lunch time thinking, “Wouldn’t it be cool if”… But I have never followed through with 98% of the ideas that roll through my head.

So I began thinking to myself (while listening to Guy) what does it really take to get one of these ideas started? How much time does it take to really get something from concept to reality? Is it really that long?

I have a feeling that it isn’t as hard as we make it out to be.

So with very little thought as to how I could actually go about this, I decided to challenge myself. I want to see if I can answer the question, Is it possible to start a business in under 24 hours?

Is it possible to take a fleeting idea and put it into practice in a short period of time? How much can I really get accomplished if I really put my mind to it, and get it going? I really began thinking about this quite a lot after that.

So I have decided to give it a try. I am a hard working, responsible human being. I think I can do this.

Over the next week or so, I am going to try and break this down right here for all the world to see. Whether I succeed, or fail miserably I am going to spend as little time as possible in taking an idea and putting it into practice, hopefully landing just under the 24 hour mark. Would anyone like to join me?

PS. Guy, if you are reading this thanks for the idea… now let’s do lunch

I am barely intrigued by this utterly pointless Old Spice Duel between Isaiah Mustafa and good ol Fabio. However I must say, “Fabio” really? Isn’t he like 60 now?

I understand that he looks great for an older gentleman what with his luscious locks of golden wheat colored hair waving in the breeze, but is he really all that much of a heart throb anymore? Is heart throb even the right terminology?

I’m a little bit taken aback that Fabio would even dare take on my man Mustafa (got your back bro) let alone roll around on a piano like he did in the first video I saw him in. Fabio looked like a complete dork in that one.

Video’s like this seem to me to be highly effective campaigns that bands can use to market themselves in a viral manner. Creating a video that is much more interesting and have a sort of overall “Wow” factor to them and are much more likely to be shared and viewed than videos that are just ok.

Take a look for yourself!
