You know, I’m always curious that why they have 3 shifts where the fact is we have only 5-6 of us working. Today I start with morning shift and I go back together with the last shift.

Unlike Kinokuniya which is support by staff from various divisions, here we have to one-leg-kicking everything from collecting shipment till housekeeping and customer service. If there’s no chore to do, sun must be rising from the west that day.

But it’s pure fun. I’m loving it.

Oh ya, today I bump into Elaine while I during my lunch break. She have returned from Sabah for 3 weeks before she go back to her University.

She’s such a pleasant girl to talk with.

Back to the topic, I am entertained by a menu when I’m having my dinner in a Malay Restaurant.

“Cik, Mek TomYam ni mee ke ape?”

“Itu name kedai lah~!”

I was like, oh.. alright..

Shhhhh~!

Have been promise to send the kids photos, and I’m awfully late.

Send already lah, no more complains okay?

A Dreadful Breifing

Back to the corporate world again. This time is with Kinokuniya bookstore, PageOne the upper floor to be exact.

My first day of working starts with a serious briefing. Every staff is standing still in horizontal lines like boyscouts waiting for order. I even ask Grace whether we need to sing Negaraku in occation like this.

But she gives me a stern face instead. Haha.. Alright la, relax…

The person-in-charge talks a lot about the internal operation of the bookstore, what-to-do and what-shouldn’t that kind of stuff, which I can’t understand at all. All I understand is every staff of Kinokuniya needs to take turn to do a public speaking in front of others, because it’s the only thing which is less complicated.

Wei, say is say “retail assistant” jeh.. Actually is bookkeeper lor. Need or not oh? Lucky me is under PageOne, no need to embarrassed in front of other people :P

The briefing ends with an awkward talking practice: Good morning sir; How do you do; Can I help you; Thank you; Please come again…

They speak so fast, I couldn’t even keep up!

Relationship and Love

I glad that I didn’t waste the rest of my life wondering around things I wouldn’t even need.

Today I went to MidValley to collect my commission for my previous job, met my ex-colleague and we talk for a while. It’s been some time since we meet. He’s been doing well.

My dad was with me and we went for a dad-and-son movie session. In my memory I have only been twice to cinema with my family. For the rest, cinema is just a usual place to hang out with friends during our leisure time. My family always says that there are better things to do rather than spend a day’s time for an overpriced ticket.

I’m from a typical conservative Chinese family.

People say that I should laid back and enjoy my life with intimate relationships during my age, which I really should, normally.

Maybe I should quite being abnormal blogging my single yet boring life out. There’s a lot chicks out there to be dated.

Sorry, it’s not my way of defining life.

Relationship and love. Geez, those nonsense teacher’s teaching plans.

Basically it’s a teaching concept that separates the students into Pelajar Cemerlang, Pelajar Sederhana and Pelajar Lemah. Then we have to set the target to covert the students to better category, reevaluate it after every exam and stat down the successfulness of your teachings. Best thing is, you have to stat down the reason why it success or fail.

If you ask me, it’s a good idea actually. But to ask the teachers to do it two days before the school holiday, it already lose its initial point essentially. This is something I would tell in my blog or if someone ask me directly in the face. I’m a temporary teacher anyway.

It’s just a pile of pointless paper work.

“Nampaknya sasaran kita su-dah-lah tersasar...” We rant on it light-heartedly.

I interact with the fellow teachers there more this two days, especially today. They come to school to settle the unsettled job to end the school’s 2nd semester, before they can fully enjoy the school holiday ahead. However for me, I end up my job to leave the school.

After two weeks spending my days in the school, I found that primary teacher is slightly different from what I think they are. At first, I thought that teachers are saints that would bug you with lotsa conservative rules and philosophy. But in fact, they are no different with other humans, just slightly more talkative, friendly, polite, self-contented and yes.. childish.

Childish as in having younger thoughts.

I have worked in various areas of career, but this is first time I have worked in such a pleasurable environment. The reason is simple: Everyone is contributing willingly to the school.

Just a question that I couldn’t comprehend: Teachers are just simply a bunch of cheap professional labors. Why I said so? You see, every profession which salary is below RM 2k is considered as cheap labors. Teachers who teach for 18 years as a ketua panitia is paid RM 1.8k. Not Cheap professional labors is what ah?

18 years of work paid RM1.8k, geez.

I say, if the school office turns into a departmental store, then the teacher would be the best knowledgeable sales person offering the friendliest and best quality service to its customer, at the same time doing clerical job and customer service for the company.

One phrase to describe – one leg kicking.

Really, teachers are underrated. The only reason to stay is they love the job.

There is a phrase where it’s habitually used by the teachers when they are doing something. It doesn’t take me long time to figure where it’s come from – the Penolong Kanan’s room.

静思。
Tenangkan fikiran.
Calm your mind.

There is a deep philosophy behind it.

A beautiful quote: Speak less is better than speak more; speak nicely is better than speak less.

Turns out to be pointless if translated into English :P

Officially left the school on 3:30pm.

Wherever I go, I know will be missing those children's voice.
"Lao shi.. See.. He pull my hair!"
"Lao shi.. She hit me first de!"

4B

4H

3B

3H

I will be back.

Take care.

No more classes

One more day to spend with the kids before I leave the school.

Today it’s already the 13th day of my school days as a teacher, and everyday I'm counting down the days.

I feel like I have just started, but it has already close to an end, too soon.

I just cannot express how much I will be missing these little ghost. I’m running out of words.

I always think that it’s not right to force those children into rules set by the adult. Every time this thought come to my mind, I feel awful to carry a cane around, although it’s a mandatory to do so.

Hey, I never feel any better for caning you all. If I have enough time to be with you all, I would choose to listen to you more,

before I asked you to listen to me.

The children just like to play with me, I think perhaps due to the age factor. You see, I’m the youngest teacher in the school, and seriously, sometimes I feel I can communicate better with the children than the teachers there.

There’s a lot teachers who came to me and said: “OMG you are so young, how old are you?”

Sometimes it’s a headache to talk to teachers also. I mean, you have to think twice before you let the words spill out from your mouth. Well, it’s not much of a cultural shock to me, just need some time to settle down, polish my language a bit :P

Honestly, I have never been smiling so much in my life. If time goes back and I have the chance to choose again, I would still be a temporary teacher again.

Yeep, definitely.

One more day left.

Goodbye. And you want to keep track of your friends’ contacts and whereabouts?

Yea, I’m sure every one of you had the experience of owning an autography books. You write nice wishes and funny quote that you find somewhere, ctrl – C ctrl-V and forward it to your friends, like what you did to email, sms, friendster testimonial and such. Of course, back in that time it’s not called “forward”. It’s called “I-write-autography-to-you”.

I sure you had, once upon a time. :P

Two days ago a children pushed her autography book and asked me to sign. As it’s impossible for me to do it at class for her, I bring it back home in return I promised I would write a better one for her.

Today I finished up my workload and get back home according to time. Finally! I take the book out and digest it, and I can’t help it but chuckle over it as I turn from page to page.

Not soon enough I found the favorite quote among the children.

Yeah, the good-horses and the bad-horses thingy. Hey comm’on, it’s soooOOo irrelevant okay? I can’t have the slightest idea of why the idiom should appear in your wishes. Eh, you want to be a horse is it?

Lantak-lah~ Salin je..

Besides that, there are few children who are creative enough to come out with their totally pointless wishes. And it’s funny!

Hmm.. this is a better one. Normal abit.

I wonder who created these idiom hor.. Last time the silly us also follow this kind of trend. Apparently primary students have yet to have the skill to write their own meaningful wishes, so they just copy it from somewhere else.

Actually it’s kinda cool also this wishes. Eh, view it from a 10-year-old child perspective okay?

Then the real problem arrives. I've written to friend; I've written to pen-pal; I've written to strangers; but I've never written to students! What exactly should a teacher write for his student?

I had no idea, really.

I flipped the whole book, there’s only one teacher who have done the autography. All she does is just signed the book. Well, I don’t want to disappoint the child.

So, I really crack my head up.

Part which censored is my handheld number

At last, I come out with a simple bookmark. It is last minute that I decided to stamp it inside the book so that she won’t lose it.

Hope she will like it.

A Hectic Day

13 teachers are not around today.

I’ve been entering classes from 8:45am until 1:05pm non-stop. Even until now, I’m still reluctant to delete any of its episodes in my hardisk, from episode 1 till 101.

Almost 20GB of my hardisk is already eaten up by my favorite anime series. :)

Dragon-Ball age has passed. Now bleach rules!

Until recently I discovered I new anime series based on shinigami background too, but this time it’s heavily emphasized on logical puzzle solving rather than conventional fighting comedy as the bleach and most of the mainstream anime proposed. It’s a very fresh idea in Japanese Artwork and I’m loving it.

It’s more a Conan detective story fused with shinigami elements.

The anime is called Death Note.

Excerpt from wikipedia:

Plotline of Death Note

Light Yagami is a brilliant, but bored, high school student who resents the crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground in the year 2003.

The Death Note's instructions claim that, if a human's name is written within it, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the Death Note's genuineness, believing it is just a prank. However, after experimenting with it and killing two criminals, Light is forced to admit the Death Note is real. After meeting with the true owner of the Death Note, a shinigami named Ryuk, Light seeks to become the "God of new world" by passing his judgment on criminals.

Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organization and a mysterious detective known only as "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira"(In Engrish, "Kira "sounds like "Killer"), is located in Japan. L also concludes that Kira can kill a person just by knowing their face and name.

Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a race to prove mental superiority between the two begins.

More

Today I browsed through the magazines only to find Death Note is already made into movie and released in Japan two days ago. It kinda shock me too when I get to know that Death Note is already a completed anime with 108 chapters in total.

Oh my.. The storyline is only bounded on a Japan top student Light and his Death Note, and they made it into 100+ chapters? It really interests me. Until now Japanese TV release until the 5th episode only.

And Death Note the movie! I must watch it!

Gah.. The headmaster constantly worried if the activity won’t achieve expected number of visitors.

Imagine. It will look really REALLY swuey if nobody attends.

The WhyBie-whybies (YB) might ask why-why-why like that and make a U-turn back to their office. Oh no!

A day before the talk

Unfortunately, I’m in-charge of the arrangement of the talk. Fortunately, I don’t have to do anything. Thanks to those hyper-active student.

Now here’s a better word to replace ‘naughty’ in this occasion. Hyper-active stereotypes.

:)

The actual day. Today.

The event is okay-lah, number of visitor is somewhat close to the target. The headmaster is very good in estimating number of seat we should prepare. Almost all the seats is filled with people. Only two possibilities lor,

Either he is brilliant, or… kahem..

*cough**cough* did I say anything *cough* ?

Oh my.. Confucius comes to LIVE.. The actual person with his portrait

As the headmaster ordered us teachers to sit in the front roll, I join the rebellious teachers sitting at the last roll. What a good teacher I am.

Me: “Eh? Headmaster just said we should sit in front.”

Them: “Ya, it only applied to newcomer. Go and sit in front!”

Me: “I see.” *sits down*

Me: “Who’s the newcomer? I never see anyone new.”

Someone is dead.. *sob*

As soon as I sit down I realized the PK is sitting right beside me. PK PK.. Hmm.. kanan or kiri already? I’m right about to ask her if there’s a PT (Penolong Tengah) or not. There’s three penolong you know?

In the office they are sitting horizontally in front of the headmaster’s office. I think the title is for them to sit according to place? I wonder.

Okay la, it’s a joke. Laugh okay?

Thanks.

*swinging his hand* Do this.. Do that.. Don’t do this.. Don’t do that..

While most of the people give responds like “Wow, nice digicam.. Lend me see!” “Wei, si beh wu liao arhh?! What also want to take photo..”

My school’s PK responds, “Eh this photo you take is nice. Let’s print out and put it in school magazine.”

At last people recognize my photo more than my god-damn-DIGI-CAM! *wipe tears*

Finally!

(to be continue...)

刮目相看 Prove to You

JUST FLY
向世界证明我存在
努力过的汗水不断灌溉
美好未来
CAUSE I CAN FLY
YES I CAN FLY

JUST FLY
向世界证明我存在
努力过的汗水不断灌溉
美好未来
CAUSE I CAN FLY
YES I CAN FLY

FLY尽全力在飞起来
没有后悔不后退
我让你刮目相看
JUST FLY
向世界证明我存在
努力过的汗水不断灌溉
美好未来
CAUSE I CAN FLY

YES I CAN FLY

OH I BELIEVE I CAN FLY

Not a Racist Post

Stayed back to mark the children’s book, yet it’s still a lot to go.

I yawn and rest a while.

I look at my watch. It’s already 3 in the evening and thunder is hammering outside, but it’s nothing compared to the things that a teacher told me before she went back home. The things that she told me are still echoing loud inside my mind.

This teacher that I mentioned just now is the only Chinese BM teacher around besides me, and she is an experienced one. She has a daughter in my class, so apparently she knows how the progress of my classes going. She commented that the classes that I’m teaching are in a very VERY bad condition, after suffering from 3 months without BM teacher.

It’s true. Most students can’t even understand the textbook also.

Then she told me an open secret. She told me how the Malay teacher before me teaches the class, in a sarcastic manner.

When he entered the class, he will first ask a child to punch his back.

The child who volunteers to do so will be exempted from passing up his homework.

The karangan he will never teach. The children just have to copy the sample essay from reference book.

If the children get a full mark in Ejaan, he will ask their parents to put down their signature; if the children get zero, he will just leave it.

Etc..

“They sure die one like this” She added. “Later next year they standard 5 standard 6 they sure in big trouble, CONFIRMED”

“My daughter is lucky to have a mum as teacher, so I’m okay with it lah. But how is other student? Not every parent is able to teach their children BM you know?”

“You say die or not like this? Sure die one..”

You are feeling what I feel at the moment.

This morning I have just issue a simple note for two children parent and asked them to put down their signature.

Reason:

They don’t even understand the word ‘Bahasa’.

Not even ‘Kamu’.

The saddest thing is, they had tried their best to do the exercise for me. But I can only see pages of alphabets in a disordered manner, which brings no meaning at all.

I never blame them.

I just feel sad.

For my children

Oh gosh.. Take a look on my workload!

Ever since I came to this school I’m assigned to replace Cikgu Farikh’s post as a BM teacher, I have to handle 4 classes which is equivalent to 30 periods of BM class and 2 periods of Art class.

Imagine.

My timetable is like.. oh SHIT! Everyday I’ll be seeing my 200 children everyday and every single of them.

Not to mention the children hadn’t been attending BM class since Cikgu Farikh had gone for 3 months. They are way WAY behind the syllabus already.

Don’t ask why they hadn’t been a teacher to replace Cikgu Farikh before I came. I don’t think I want to go in detail. I can only say that some political issues are involved.

Sabar.. sabar..

My main concern now is my children’s syllabus. 12 more days to End Semester Break. 12 more days…

I will do whatever I could.

Free Lunch

Today I stayed back at school for extra tuition class, replacing Wei Jie (if I not mistaken his name) while he is occupied for the inter-school badminton competition.

I pleasurably accepted it. Afterall, who would deny for a RM 60 extra incentive by just teaching for TWO hours?

I’m not an idiot, okay?

He pushed me an English Comprehension reference book and asked me to teach by reading along the essays with the students, explain it and do the attached question.

Duh.. how boring.

Before this I’ve been told that today is the last day for the extra tuition class, after this when the November comes, there will be tuition class no more. Moreover, the extra class that I will be teaching is standard 6. So what’s for pushing them to study more when the UPSR is over?

That’s why, before I entered the class, I decided to let them do things that they wanted to.

When I’m walking towards the class on the corridor, these children were chasing around climbing up and down. Well, it isn’t a surprise anyway. What would you expect a 12 years old kid doing when there’s nothing to occupy them?

Sit quietly at each seat and play SUDOKU?

But however, discipline is discipline. After they stood up and greeted me, the first line that I said to the class was: “Stand on the chair, everyone!”

“Stand straight, everyone look at me.”

They might think I was punishing them. In fact I wasn’t. I just wanted to get a momentary attention from the class. And it’s proven effective when everyone is silent and focus on a single person – me.

I did the self introduction, explained why I’m here and make them answer me why they are standing on the chair.

2 golden rules on executing punishment
-Let them understand why they are punished.
-Mean what you said, strictly.

After that I let them sit down and followed by a talk with them so that they won’t lose focus immediately. We talk about their future planning, the school they going to attend for secondary, the places or activities they have been doing since UPSR finish, etc..

Majority of them will be joining Chong Hwa Secondary, where is just a few blocks down the road. Some of them are joining Titiwangsa Secondary - boy school and girl school.

Besides that they joined the school trip to Singapore during the Kongsi Raya holiday, 4 days 3 nights, which cost them RM500++ Quite cheap huh? Haha.. I should have joined the school earlier, as suggested by a child there.

After that, the important part kicks in - whether to teach or not to. And of course, the majority voted *drumroll*

NO.

That’s when Uno card, Chinese chess and others board game becomes my two-hours teaching material :P

As for the English.. whatever book, who cares lah?

I filled up my time by marking books; they have their well deserved rest after final exam. Now we are both happy.

The only person that will be unhappy is more likely the PIBG.

Paying 60 bugs to a teacher who teaches nothing :P

Today, I’m a teacher.

I look very VERY different, from my previous job attire. Don't I?

Finally I landed myself on a job ever since my college break. It’s almost a month I live as a jobless person, long away from fast-paced life. Well, it doesn’t serve for no purpose. You might call it soul-searching in-the-progress.

Afterall, if it isn’t the stupid college promised me a free course to study, I already lounge myself into a full-time job before my Uni life starts. Darn, until now I still haven’t receive the course schedule yet, KANASAI college..

Garh!!!

But hey, until now you might still be wondering.. Yeah.. I’m a teacher now. And I’m not kidding you.

Today is my first day reporting in and I’m teaching standard 3 and 4 students for BM subject and some minor subject too. Actually the school’s principle wants me to teach Chinese since I get an A in my SPM (Sijil Paling Murah), but then he changed his mind after discussing with his vice, just because the Chinese class is in standard 6.

They worried I might caught some chick in the process, can you believe it?!!

He told me nowadays the kids get matured too early, oh well.. *shook head*

All in all, today is a hectic day with lotsa paper works, teaching plan to do. I will write more tomorrow.

Safety rule #27: Never take light rail transit in terminal station

What I like about NTV7’s Edisi 7 night time news is, they always have the latest news that will only available in newspaper the day after.

News like this is A PURE SHOCKER:

When OMG is not enough to express this unbelievable-ness, we can only accept the fact that anything could happened in this world. Routine route becomes a deadly roller coaster experience, kinda interesting don’t you think?

Ironically, I always wish that I have the chance to experience life-and-death situation, again. Ever since a car accident that nearly knock me down when I’m only about 5-7 years old, I hardly met any kind of these anymore.

My height is only at a car's bumper level, that time.

What happen back then was, the car rammed into me a few inches, and I was able to stand still and walk away like nothing happened.

I can only say that it is the moment when I'm closest to God.

***
It appears in today’s newspaper headline, without much surprise obviously. I can imagine some ill-looking faces pointing fingers on each other in tomorrow’s headlines,

as usual.

Ohana Means Family

Had a wonderful holiday together with family.

It’s funny how people reacted when I said I wanted to spend my whole week together with family. Yeah, I guess I had come to an age where I appreciate family values more than anything else. Did it come too early? Well, I don’t know.

“..Eh sorry lar I wanna spend my time with family.”
Does this sound awkward to you?

Okay la my friend, sorry to be MIA for the week. Besides than your friend and a part-time blogger here, I’m two parents’ son and two people’s siblings too, full-time somemore. Understand abit larhh okay?

I wonder whether we should leave our parents alone at home, while we paint the town red by spending their money. It’s never sounds right, and it have never been.

At least during this festive season, when they finally have time to take a break from daily routine, try to dig some common interest between you and your family, tighten up the generation gap, you know. If you are able to find happiness with your fellow friends, I’m pretty sure you can share it with your family too. No doubt bout it.

At the end of the day, it’s your family that will support you and walk together with you for the better or worse. Not you friend, or any special relationship that only heats up during time of romance.

Here is a joke for the day:

My dad’s company sponsors him a new line and he has started using it since last week. The day when my brother came back from Johor he sends a message to him:

“你到了吗？”
“You reach already?”

“还没。不好意思请问你是谁？”
“No. Sorry, may I ask who are you?”

My dad has no choice but to reply:

“I’m lim-lao-peh, you know anot?!”

Taking a short break

Happy Deepavali and Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all of you!!!

My elder brother is comming back from Johor during his festive break. And as usual I will be working on festive reunions with my dearest malay and indian schoolmate too. Hehee time to ring up their phones.

Plus, I will be working on new layout for my blogsite. And I will lay my hands on those new features in Blogger Beta. So expect for new fresh look when I'm back.

In the meanwhile,

and Happy Deepavali and Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!!!

>Candy needs her baby to be voted for "Oct 06' Cutest Baby Contest!"
>here

Saying ‘Happy Deepavali’ is not wrong

Another ridiculous issue heated by the radical Muslims.

Link1
Link2

As much as I enjoy <s>bicth-slapping</s> debating with heartsong in kexiou’s blog page, suddenly I felt an urge to understand how religious people from other religion think about marriage and pre-marital sex. Thus I spent sometime digging out religious information over the blogsphere to reinforce my knowledge on these issues.

<s>I hate to be a loser you know? Heh..</s>

Culture is a very interest thing to explore and to understand, but do that means if I explore others religion and practice just a tiniee-winee-bit of it, makes me less a freethinker?

In my humblest opinion, I DON’T THINK SO!

All this shit started when I accidentally I bumped into a blog page titled “Deepavali greetings can cause syirik (blasphemy, or more commonly known as Haram in malay)" to muslims who wishes it.

What the fork?!! Curiosity urge me to read further on the writing, and the links attached too.

After some time tracking the source, the issue was started by the Syariah Department in Takaful Malaysia who issued an internal memo circulated amongst the staffs stating that wishing "Happy Deepavali" to Hindus is haram (forbidden).

** By the time I get this entry posted, Takaful has officially released an apology statement. Here

As for the reason why they shouldn't be wishing, here is the shortened version:

“As a Muslim, you have the duty to uphold and spread Islam, and bring others to this religion. By wishing someone happy celebrating their festival, what does that mean? Are you accepting their religion, therefore implying that what they do (celebrating and practising their religion) is right? Don't get me wrong: even Islam recognises that there are other religions apart from Islam. However, Islam also teaches the Muslim how they are different, and why Islam is the chosen religion by Allah swt.”

For in depth information on the reasons, please do refer to the links above, I am not going to elaborate anymore. I felt more and more retard for just explaining more.

Excuse me, my dear radical Muslims,

I don’t really care actually. Really.

Whether you are wishing or not, it’s doesn’t matter anyway. I believe that our Hindus friends will never ask for your wishes too, if you are so selfishly and egoistically thinks that just by wishing others race from other religion happy festive based on goodwill will caused you lose marks in your Islamic score-sheet.

I really don't fucking care.

BUT THEN! When you blasted those liberal Muslims, who is clearly not agreed with your radical thoughts, who want to kongsi raya with the Hindus, with these kind of strong and serious accuse; now that is something I couldn’t tolerate with..

“...their heresy is kufr and truly, they are the misguided ones. They will worship all kinds of gods.”

Hello my dear radical Muslims, *knock knock* are you conscious of what you accusing?

I seriously suggest that you reconsider what you said, because you are hurting those who are serving the same God as you are. And by all means, I won’t say you are the misguided one like you did, because I understand that your Holy Book can be interpreted in various perspectives; nobody is 100% proven right, as nobody has actually see God. Do you?

Saying ‘happy deepavali’ is not wrong. Islam has no wrong.

Something wrong is with you.

Add on:

here is a constructive opinion from mahaguru58

Nominee of Pua-Chu-Kang Comedy Award

Oh no.. Not politic issues again!

I always thought that politics is boring and dull. You know, only retired Ah Pek or Ah Shums will leisurely talk about politics in their favorite kopitiam early in the morning. Shaking legs, drinking kopi-o..

Nowadays, even dogs have something to bark on politics.

Sorry but I can’t help myself of blogging politics. Recent news is getting more and more dramatic and hilarious, I guess they might replace my primary source of entertainment one day! The best thing is, it's hot baked right in front of my doorstep daily!

To be honest, I am quite feddup of swearing my own gahmen already. Let’s take a break and see how other people commented. Let’s get the party started.

*drumroll*

Here is the five sandiwara-sandiwara that is nominated for best series of Pua-Chu-Kang Comedy Award.

Ladies and gentleman, the first nominee:

Excerpt from minishorts.net:

And that interview they had with MY prime minister. Which was plastered on all the front pages of the local Chinese papers, and conveniently tucked into a corner of the other dailies.

Oh in bulleted form some more.

Chinese community should be thankful because the Government has given them the opportunity to prosper.

*cue* Bows head in repentance? OH THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO PROSPER!!! OMM OMMM OMMM …

Eh I dunno about you hoh, but I remember years and years back some other leader also said something about 'Oh the Malays have to be thankful for the government.'

And that line about 'Don't bite the hand that feeds you.'

Why are our leaders … always begging their people to thank them? Pardon me for being a bit rebellious here, but good morning sir, ma'am, you are the government that we voted INTO power because we believe that we will PROSPER under you. For God's sake I wouldn't even look at my skin colour when it comes to being prosperous. As far as I'm concern, under a good government, EVERYONE SHOULD PROSPER, and when that kind of overall prosperity kicks into the place, a GOOD GOVERNMENT will not go running to a drama-inducing news channel such as CNN and tell a segment of the people, 'OH PLEASE THANK US, BECAUSE WE MADE YOU PROSPEROUS.'

More

The second nominee goes to:

Excerpt from kennysia.com:

So anyway, do I think the Malaysian garblement is racist? Unforunately yes. I'd even go as far as to say that the Malaysian garblement has more racist policies than the Australian garblement, which is saying a lot considering how Malaysia once cried out against Australia over their 'racist' immigration policies and treatment of refugees.

But is it a surprise? Hardly. What do you expect when the ruling party ever since Malaysia's independance is a Malay race-based political party called UMNO?

"Let no one from the other races ever question the rights of Malays on this land. Don’t question the religion because this is my right on this land." - Badruddin, UMNO Deputy Chairperson

"Eh hello. I'm born here so its also my right to be here also wat. So hao lian for what?" - Kenny Sia, Blogger.

Btw, I always thought the name 'UMNO' for a political party is kinda cute. Can you imagine what their caucus sessions are like?

UMNO Minion: "Prai Minster! Prai Minster! Can we adopt another policy to increase our bumi discount to 30% pleaseee?"
Prime Minister: "UM... NO."
UMNO Minion: "Then 20% can?"
Prime Minister: "UM. NO!"
UMNO Minion: "15%?"
Prime Minister: "UMNO!!!"
UMNO Minion: "Mmmk. :("

More

Have enough? I don’t think so. The 3rd nominee:

Excerpt from ktemoc.blogspot.com:

I wonder what these guys are saying? I am going to make a guess, and you're welcome too.

My take:

Hishamuddin (passionately): There's not going to be any apology, OK? Love means never ever having to say sorry, and I love you, got that? Yeah, if you don't understand what I’ve just said, OK, let me repeat that in Chinese - Ai Larp U lah!

Khairy (senyum rimau, and thinks): Tak perlu komen lah. Am not one to stand in the way of love. Nampaknya Liew dah bingung dengan Hisham's surprise declaration of cinta. As my Oxford don used to say, 'Omnia vincit amor, et nos cedamus amori' - hehehe.

Liew (mute stung by bee? thinks): KNN, chia lart men! He does love me afterall. Does that mean I sooner or later kena 'potong' er? Do I have to switch to UMNO Youth too, or does Hisham instead come over to MCA Youth?

Let’s welcome the 4th nominee:

Photo from bukanmatrempit.blogspot.com:

Are our yellow-skinned friends, being margerin-ize-d?

Nah, they are margerin-iz-ing themselves..

The FINAL nominee, which I personally think is the best of all. It’s a big honored to have our Prai Minster and Putera Umno chairperson here.

Round applaud for dumb Adalah Amat Badass weeee-wee and dumber Adalah Aedes Adalah Rahim!

Excerpt from lowyat.forum.net:

Source: Malaysiakini.com

PM to rebrand Mat Rempit

Aug 21, 06 12:45pm

Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will rebrand illegal motorcycle riders - popularly known as ‘Mat Rempit’ - during an assembly in the Bukit Jalil national stadium this November.

Putera Umno chairperson Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim said the rebranding of Mat Rempit was to change the illegal race participants' image towards something better.

"We are thinking of a suitable name like Mat Cemerlang," he was quoted as saying by Bernama. !!!!!!??!

"We are finding a proper direction for them. We could not stop them to continue with their interests but we can guide them to find a direction," he added.

Abdul Azeez said the motorcylists should not be perceived as a threat, adding that, "If we cannot stop them, we join them. We try to understand them because they are our youths."

More

(seriously, I spilled my drink on the floor when I read this..)

Alright that’s all for tonight. If you’re that kind of 'happy goes lucky' people, “Harrr? 911 event? Whazzat?!” “Ceh.. American people die only ma not my business”, then forget about it.

You might fall asleep.

It’s a sad event to begin with, so without much surprise the movie starts with a gloomy mood. It expects you know well about the incident without wasting more time to explain longer.

Instead of documenting the whole incident, the storyline circles on two policemen (John McLoughlin and Will Jimeno) who gets involve in the rescue operation. Unfortunately, they are caught buried under the concourse between the towers 1 and 2 when the second air-plane crash into it, which they never expect it to come.

Around 5 airplanes crashed into WTC. Every time it happened, it chills.

I reckon the scene where the concourse collapses is the best part of the movie. The visual effect is like no other movie, not even The Matrix trilogy. Too bad I can’t find any photo to post it up here.

A lot flashback happens, a lot touching scene, a lot what-I-should-do-earlier thoughts, but very lack in entertainment. Well, the most entertaining part for me is watching kexiou crying 'silently' like a baby from the very beginning of the movie.

"The World Saw Evil That Day. Two Men Saw Something Else."
(the movie's tagline)

Hell yeah, I and Henry saw tears! LOTS OF THEM!

What to do, Rob-B-Hood she also cried.

It’s okay laaa kexiou, you will make it in time before 24 *pat*

Did I told any one she wants to be pregnant before 24? No riiight?

All in all, the movie is an emotion rollercoaster and worth to be watched. It’s reminds you about the kindness, guts and love, if you ever have some, that is.

Just don’t expect too much from it.

>Our PM is such a farnie guy:
>"The Chinese should thank the gov for giving them opportunity to proseper!"
>Waddap?

Mat Rempit is our future?

Excerpt from Wikipedia:

Mat rempit noun
1. a Malaysian term for 'illegal street racer/racing' which using underbone motorcycle(Kapcai) or scooter.
2. usually performs the race at the bustling city centre on weekends night until wee hour.
3. Most of them are Malay which coming from poor background.

More

I had spent my early school days in Chinese school. I myself is a Chinese too, and generally we Chinese believe education is the only way to archive a better living, especially in a country which politically restrict the development of our education system. We have given all our efforts to funding of our Chinese schools for this reason.

Instead of investing in various loopholes in various areas, we only concentrate our efforts on education matters. We believe that it will benefit us the most in a long-term context.

We even have a Chinese saying:

再穷，也穷不了教育。
(No matter how poor, we cannot sacrifice education.)

Fortunately to say, I am being raised up in a tradition family which holds strong to this believe.

It is pretty disapointed to know that our country is not running in a civil manner. Why I said so? Let's read this news from The Star newspaper.

Excerpt from The Star Online:

3,800 mat rempit to join Umno, says Putera chief

PETALING JAYA: Putera Umno claims it has roped in 3,800 mat rempit under 25 years of age to sign up as Umno members.

Movement chief Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim said these young street racers were among 10,000 in the Klang Valley who were courted by the wing.

Nationwide, the movement had wooed between 30,000 and 40,000 mat rempit, he told reporters at a gotong royong to spruce up a Muslim cemetery at Bukit Tandang here yesterday.

“We will collect their particulars and absorb them as members. So far, 3,800 have filled up forms to join Umno,” he said.

More

Yeah, you bet it. These people are so talented, why waste their capabilities? They can rempit so fast, even law enforcer also no fear one! Waliew so brave!

Ask them to join UMNO Youth larhh~

We sama-sama rempit the country~

Let’s ride the country!

Alright, let’s step back to reality.

This is a questionable issue: If you break the law, instead of going to jail, we forgive you and open a path for you to join politic parties and lead your people. What do you think?

If you are smart enough to think again, you would realize why the law breakers are given such privilege. Why not we give privilege to speeders, or drunken drivers?

Why I still get a saman for parking at the yellow line?!?! Why am I not forgiven and recruited to the MCA?

The focus slowly cuts down to a single reason: because most (in fact is all) of them are made of one special blood. The so-called the owner of this land based on Ketuanan Melayu concept, which ridiculously denies the rights of citizenship of others race other than their own;

The malays.

UMNO Youth Chief Hishamuddin Hussein brandishing the keris (Malay dagger) in defense of ketuanan Melayu.(taken from wikipedia.com)

Needless for me to say, the action of the major ruling party is clearly printed on their forehead. They are hunting for votes for the upcoming election. In our country, malay is the largest race in number, that’s why all this racist policies like NEP (new economic policies), Ketuanan Melayu and including this incredulous ‘Mat Rempit is recruited’ issue is raised. To please the malays larhh~ of course.

But did they take in account the damage it will be done to the nation? You can recruit a mamak; you could even recruit a begger; NOT a criminal okay?

They don’t even know the proper way to ride a bike!!

This country would be a great country if there is no division of races. With its richness of natural resources, Malaysia should be one among the most developed nation in Asia. Singapore wouldn’t even stand a chance.

Bitter to say, all those money lost to corrupted politicians, unprofitable projects, pro-malay policies, sooner or later we will be wiped off from the face of the earth in this globalization era.

Instead of preparing ourselves to be competitive, we are drowning ourselves over unsettled racist issues which will only valid before 80-an.

Points made, finger pointed, but I still can’t foresee any future for my country. This is what saddens me as Malaysian.

It feels like being tangled in unrequited love.

I love you but you don’t love me.

Bowling In The Morning

Slacking off my blogging routine recently.

This few days I am adjusting my personal timetable and as expected, it’s normal to miss out something. Something like blogging ;)

Normally I would blog in the afternoon but I had no choice but to shift this column to night. My college life will be starting soon for short three weeks, better to get use to the time before jet lag happens on me.

Last but not least *kahem*, thanks for Winnie for taking away my digicam so that i can't photo blog.

#$%^&^&*%6&*@

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I went for a bowling session with Li Wei and Su Peng in Berjaya TimeSquare. It’s a very early morning of Monday.

But why bowling in the early morning?

I caught the hint as soon as I reached in front the boiling court. There is a badly-done-A4 size promotion paper stamped on the glass entrance, written:

“4 games for RM10”

“11am – 2pm”

Great. My morning sleep in exchange of a discount in bowling session.

That’s not just it. Normally people say good things come in pairs. It’s true.

The girls arrived 1 hour late.

Now that’s greatness. Cheers!

Li Wei and Su Peng both is secondary schoolmates ended up studying same college together, Tunku Abdual Rahman College. As for me, I only knew them for few months, and <s>made</s> met up for the third time.

This is Reika a.k.a Li Wei. She’s novel blogger too. The current novel she’s working on is called 蓝之恋 already in Chapter 26. I always have an urge to read up her novel from the first, kinda interesting from the snips and bits I read through her post. But but but… it’s quite long you know, and I not much of a book reader.

The last novel I ever finished is Konserto Terakhir 3 years ago. The first one is Bukit Kepong.. halfway somemore. So..

Heh..

This is Su Peng.
