Sensation America coming to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Details:

Just ahead of Sensation's official announcement on Thursday May 31st at 7:30, we have received word of Sensation America opening venue. It is rumored that the Barclays Center in Brooklyn will be the first American venue for Sensation! The previous euro only concert series, is venturing across the pond this fall for the first time and their are big expectations. Sensation is known for massive headliners, out of this world stage designs, and of course the sea of white.

Sensation USA/America is rumored to be coming to other arenas in the US, as well. There is no word yet on headliners, but be prepared for all the big names as ID&T never disappoint.

Daft Punk New Album Details Dropped By Roger Niles & Giorgio Moroder

On day 3 of the Ibiza International Music Summit, some interesting details surfaced on Daft Punk New Album. While we didn't get specifics, the would be fourth studio album for daft punk, will feature collaborations with both Nile Rodgers and Giorgio Moroder.

"That shit is amazing" is what Nile Rodgers had to say at his interview on Day 3 at Ibiza IMS. Earlier in february, EDMBoston reported that Nile Rodgers would be working on Daft Punk New Album together. It's exciting to hear that they have already have the material laid out. However, Rodgers wouldn't give away any other details on his collaboration with Daft Punk. Nile Rodgers said he'd leave that to the duo.

Moroder on the other hand, leaked that he'd been working on daft punk new album. He talks about what it was like working in the studio with Daft punk on the album.

Fast forward to 2:20 for the Nile Rodgers interview and to 4:10 for the Giorgio Moroder interview.

There are a lot of new people at EDM events and we love seeing the scene grow! As any enthusiast will tell you a bigger energetic crowd is often better then an incrementally smaller crowd. However, there are some key mistakes we noticed newbs making that prevent them from enjoying shows to their fullest extent. We compiled a list of 3 mistakes 1st time EDM Event Attendees make.

The Top 3 Mistakes of 1st Time EDM EVENT Attendees are:

3. Expecting not to be spilled on...

Plain and simple its going to happen, its just a matter of when. Just go with it! Getting mad is only going to ruin your time and if you decide to make a scene, everyone around you is going to suffer. Keep your energy high and dance on. Besides, a little laundry detergent immediately when u get home should take care of any problems.

2. Put Your Phone down

As dumb as this sounds, your not there to watch the artist, you are there to enjoy the atmosphere, energy, and uniqueness that the artist brings. During a dj's set he/she works hard to develope a unique feeling and energy in the nightclub. If your too busy filming them or taking photos on your phone, you'll miss what your paying to see. Besides, most nightclubs have photographers to capture all the moments.

1. Forgetting to Dance

You'd be surprised at the number of people that stand on the perimeter, sip their beverages, and don't dance. We're not saying you need to get in the middle of the battle circle, but lay down some moves on the dance floor. You'll feel your worries disappear and you'll enjoy the music a 1,000x more as you move to it and feel the dj change the pace, beat, and vibe.

In summary, the edm crowd is one of the most welcoming and accepting. Get out on the dance floor and get involved. While doing so put away your iphones/androids, expect the occational spill, and laugh at each other. You'll have an amazing time and be back for more!

Boston's Butlertron - Simul8 Kills It!

The duo behind Butlertron are Mike & Mike, and have been on a hot streak in the production room. As we covered them two weeks ago, they had released a fresh original titled Promise Me. The two young guns are continuing to work hard in the production room before they make any big moves and we're telling you this is a group to keep an eye on. Their original productions are fresh, unique and offer the Boston scene something that it can call its own.

Butlertron's newest original, Simul8, is a grooving electro 4/4 beat that blends deep whirls and pulsing synths and bounces back and forth between their heavy electro sound and a lighter euphoric melody. If you didn't know more about this group you'd think it was coming from an established producer in the scene for years.

However, for now Butlertron continues to earn their stripes and prove their validity in the game.

Rusko Freaks out in Houston

Problems persist for the great Rusko. After his show in Houston, a youtuber captured him freaking out at the sound engineer for the lackluster sound at his performance. People in attendance at the show have come to support and denounce Rusko. With the latter saying,

"Sigma played before Rusko, and it sounded perfect. If the sound was off, it was on Rusko's drunk ass." And the supporters saying that Rusko is passionate professional and wants his audience to recieve the best for what they pay for.

Nevertheless, its tough to see things perspire like this. While the audience deserves the best, Rusko clearly doesn't seem in the best state in this video. We wish the artist well and hope things work out for the better!
