here we are in UK now :) the 3rd place of our erasmus program. We have 6 weeks courses at Camborne School of Mine, University of Exeter. what I found interesting here is that the university has almost the same facilities with the one in UNSW Sydney Australia, at least in the library.

Well we have 2 courses here which I think quite a repetition with the ones I studied in Aachen and Helsinki and also from my undergrad study. So, nothing really new here.

anyway, here are some video and pictures from my new accommodation in Penryn, Cornwall UK, really nice indeed!

and I am lucky to live here with Jens and Paavo. Jens (from Germany) is my roommate in helsinki and Paavo (from Finland) is a good cook! what a nice life. thanks God after all.

Back to school - 2 more weeks to go!

It feels nice to be back to university and meet all of my friends and lecturers, although i still need to see doctor regularly. But at least i made a progress. And time goes really fast that i just realized there is only 2 more weeks to finish the Aachen time then we will have 3weeks holiday. Hope i can recover well in that holiday. But to be honest i still dont have plan for my holiday. Bummer!

3 surgeries in 2 weeks

It is about one month since I left Helsinki to Aachen. And now it's about one week that I have to stay at Luisen Hospital Aachen because i got an abcess that needed to be operated and drainaged. I also got much bleeding last week because of the damaged arteries after the 1st operation. Apart of all, i am still grateful to Allah swt, for all the warning and chances given to me. I'm sure Allah will always here with me (like my mother's said) to help me and to give me a health.

I am still lucky that i got friends and some relatives that visited me in the hospital and gave me lot of spirit and courage to recover and of course my family that always pray for my health.

Here is my last photo after 2nd operation. Bismillah, im sure Allah swt will help me.

Life in Finland

well, it was long time ago since i wrote the last blog. and now i moved to different continent, which is Europe. Helsinki, Finland is the first destination, then Aachen-Germany, Exeter-UK, and Delft-Netherlands. Overall it is nice place to live although its bloody cold here, but I\'m sure I\'m getting used to it now.

just want to point out some differences between here (Helsinki) and my home country (Indonesia).
1. people eat rice with fork-knife instead of fork-spoon (at least in my university)
2. on the escalator or pedestrian you should be on the right side (if you don\'t want to get hit by bicycle)
3. need to pay 1EURO for peeing or pooing (bloody expensive), even in the railway station

Tomorrow gonna be the hardest day of my life.. Gosh, I have to let one of my teeth being taken away from my mouth. ;(

The last time i lost my teeth was happened in elementary school. And i remember that time the dentist sprayed something to make me unconscious, but tomorrow a needle plus a pain i will experience after. Im not exagerrating but im really afraid of :((

gw baru tau ada beberapa jenis karakter teman kerja kita.. as I experienced, i could classify people as follows:

1. listener
orang jenis ini ga akan banyak ngomong, walopun dia punya masalah, karena mereka berpikir masih ada teman2nya yang bisa mengaspirasikan pikirannya. so, they just sit to listen whatever happens.

2. kompor
orang jenis ini cuma bisa ngompor-ngomporin orang lain buat ngomong atau bertindak. Tapi, kalo udah giliran dia yang disuruh ngomong malah ga berani, cuma diem. tipe orang ini sama aja ngga konkrit, yaa dia mungkin berharap ada 'korban' yang mau terbujuk aksi komporannya. LOL

3. rebel
orang tipe ini suka memberontak, apapun masalahnya pasti akan jadi besar kalo menurut dia salah. Ada hal-hal yang sebenernya ngga perlu dipermasalahkan tapi oleh orang jenis ini pasti tetap bermasalah dan selalu diungkit-ungkit sampai semuanya berubah seperti yang dia inginkan.

4. quiet but thinker
orang jenis ini bisa dibilang ngga punya pengikut atau pendukung, dia sebenernya punya pikiran2 yang pengen diungkapkan tapi karena ngga ada pendukung jadi akhirnya terkesan pendiam

5. follower
dari namanya juga udah keliatan kalo orang jenis ini ga punya pendirian, cuma pengen ikut2an aja, tergantung suara terbanyak yang mana

dan jenis selanjutnya mungkin gw, ya kurang lebih gabungan antara 1/2 rebel, tapi thinker dan independen. hehehe

I miss blogging. that's completely describing me at the moment. I get used to work everyday, and become worse when i have to join 'shift'. so, think i got some times to write a blog now as i got 2 days-off today. hmm, actually not much interesting story happened here, but got some new friends, new hype, new experiences and new responsibilities of course.

Here is the pic at the trademark of Tembagapura, not too bad, huh? hehehe
anyway i love working in a cool place or in another words, I love workin at height. its just like u doing an adventure while u work. so hope I'll enjoy my work as much as I enjoy doing adventure. LOL

one thing i want to do in my spare time is hiking to a place called 'Banti'. That's a village, an indigenous village of Papuan. I really want to see and take some pics of their civilization, their traditional home, and also their way of life, which is panning some gold. Just need an extra holiday/off-days and good stamina to walk there and make it happen.

so guys, stay around and wait for my next post. :P

some updates before i leave!

pheww.. it seems like months i haven't updated my blog. I think becoming a job seeker really pushing me out from my life. It seems like i'm a busy-doing-nothing man for almost 3 months since about aug 09. begin with searching all the bloody vacancies around the website, mailing list, and university's walls. then doing some kinda psychological tests around Jakarta-Bandung and if i am lucky enough i could be called for some interviews. with million thousand of CV's and cover letters i've spread out to some companies (*hehehhe its kinda exaggerating), I only got 4 at last to be interviewed. they were Schlumberger, Thiess, Freeport and ESDM. then along with time God has chosen me to work in Freeport. but if you know, when i'm trying to apply for a job in Freeport i was like not fully interested.. beside the fact that Papua currently in conflict, it also far away from my hometown. I applied in Freeport because my friend (Rio) told me that he already applied before. Then i applied and it was not until 1 hour i got called from HR of Freeport to conduct a test the day after. and i was placed in the last section because i was late to apply. But, unluckily Rio didn't get called..weird,eh? that's why i didn't expect much from this. But, time shows me everything,, that finally I passed all the Freeport steps. although Thiess haven't reject me yet. but i realized that this is the way God has chosen for me. hmm...

but lately i felt some kind of melancholy and miserable.. when i got a job at the same time i just met a nice girl i want to be with. These all seem too soon for me.. but again God has the "steer" and i just follow the way He wants me to go.

ehm one last thing, i suddenly remembered about some words from a fortune teller in the past. He said i will continue my study after i graduate rather than work first. but now I got my job first rather than continue my study. hmm, so im pretty sure now that the fortune teller can't really relied on. so thanks God u show me everything.

tadi pagi baru aja buka2 facebook home dan liat status tmen2 gw.. dan tiba2 ada beberapa tmen gw di sydney yg lg nulis status yg hampir mirip2.. dan you know what? sydney sky turned red! oh i was amazed, shocked and excited at the same time. mungkin orang2 sana pada ketakutan kali ya langitnya jadi warna merah, tapi gw disini liat dari webnya SMH fotonya malah keren2.. the places where i've been at is just amazing. katanya sih disana lg ada badai debu yang bikin warna langitnya jadi bener-bener merah. though, I never experienced it when i was 1 year living there.. pernah sih sesekali orange2 gitu tp ngga sampe segitunya sampe masuk headline sydney morning herald.

tau ngga kalian ada website ini dimana kita bisa nulis apa aja keinginan kita disitu, dan kita bisa menentukan harga nya maksimal berapa, dan situs itu akan mencarikan sendiri barang-barang yang ada di wish list kita, dan kalo cocok kita bakal dapet notification dari mereka.. so, inspired from that, i made my own wishlist. but i hope i dont pay anything for this stuffs hehehehe. So, here they are:

1. Lensa Nikkor 50mm F 1.8 new--> buat foto2 makro dan portrait dgn blurry background

2. iPod Touch 16GB new dgn software 3.1 --> yummm ga tau kenapa gw ngidam banget gadget yg satu ini.. seems classy

3. DVD funny people --> uhh sampe sekarang juga blm ketemu ketemu gw sama filmnya Adam Sandler ini.. (as I am the big fan of him)

jadi tiba2 inget aja, waktu di aussie dulu gw sempet bingung banget waktu mau tanya "berapa tinggi kamu?" dan "berapa berat badan kamu?". ga tau grogi atau emang lupa udah pernah dikasih tau bahasa inggrisnya. padahal itu kan basic question banget yang harusnya udah diluar kepala. dan gw masih inget aja sampe sekarang, gara2 pertanyaan itu, si bule yg gue tanyain ampe bingung beberapa menit, dan akhirnya dia mengoreksi bahasa inggris gw hahahahaha what a shame!
kalo ga salah aku dulu bilangnya gini "how weight are u?" dan si bule itu bener2 ga ngerti loh.. hahaha silly me..

btw hari ini hari Idul Fitri 1430H, dan kegiatan gw masih sama dengan tahun2 sebelumnya, abis sholat ied deket rumah, pulang ke rumah, makan dulu, trus keliling ke tetangga2 untuk silaturahmi. nah, kali ini kita kelilingnya bareng tetangga sebelah yang punya bayi kecil. trus dengan pedenya nyokap gw langsung gendong tu bayi dan diajak keliling2 kayak cucunya sendiri hahaha.alhasil semua tetangga yg diajak salaman pada bertanya2, "loh nikahnya belum kok cucunya udah gede aja" haaha lebih gelo lagi tuh tetangga gw.
dan nyokap gw seperti biasanya, jalannya cepeeeeeeet banget, ga tau apa, bokap gw kan jalannya pelan2..lagian baru masuk rumah,salaman, udah aja keluar langsung ga pake basa basi dulu. gw aja yg masih muda ampe kewalahan.. serasa ga enak aja..mungkin yg tadinya mau ngasih angpau (haha ngarep banget) jadi males kali ya, abis.. baru ke belakang bentar mau ambil dompet, eh keluar lagi udah ilang tamunya.ahahaha

yah lebaran kali ini dirumah aja, ga kemana2, karena ntar minggu depan ada sodara gw di solo mau nikah jadi sekalian aja silaturahmi nya di sana. well, padahal gw minggu depan jg ada acara reuni smp yg gw sbenernya pengen banget dateng.. huffhh bingung.

do u ever check or read stuff about your zodiac or starsign compatibility report in internet? well, i was once accidentally read on website and i found it very similar to what i experienced.. lets take a little example. i have been with scorpios, they both have similar attitudes; and from here and here i knew that cancer (my starsign) and scorpio can get along really well (in all aspects).. I DID, thats true. although scorpio and cancer both have big emotions but they would make a good companion.
2nd example is Libra. from 2nd website above, here is my compatibility result with Libra:

well, most of it are really true, i've been there. I dont know whether it is just an accident or really good prediction, but i did and i experienced it.. so got no words to define this. I should say they are good in telling the starsign attitudes. hmm, its not intended to be musyrik but somehow i agree this prediction..
