The P-YES online application has 5 steps and to become a beneficiary of the presidential youth empowerment scheme, you must take some time to fill the five step on the registration portal.

Note that you can save your information while filling the online form when you don't have all the required information available at the time of registration to enable you come back later to continue.

Just be sure to save your information by clicking "Save for later" and you can login at a later date to continue.

Below are the 5 step involved in P-YES application:

Make sure you fill all these five required steps and upload all the required documents including the guarantor form before you finally submit your application. in case your guarantor form is not ready, complete step 1 to 4 and save pending when your guarantor form is ready then you can return to complete step 5 which required you to upload the following document: a.ID Card, b. Passport photo, c. State origin certificate d. Guarantor form.

As an undergraduate seeking NCE, OND, HND and BSc or a postgraduate seeking MSc, MBA and PhD in Nigeria, you'll be required to undertake and complete a research project, seminar, dissertation or thesis throughout your academic career and even, in many cases, as a member of the workforce.

Don't worry if you feel stuck or intimidated by the idea of a final year research project. With care and dedication, you can get the project done well before the deadline!

What is Research?

A research is a quest into the unknown. It is the act of finding a rational explanation or clarification on facts, events and phenomenon which surrounds human existence.

What is a Research Project?

A research project may be seen as an expansion of past work in a field. Research projects can be used to develop further knowledge on a topic, or in the example of a school final year research project, they can be used to further a student's research prowess to prepare them for future jobs or reports. To test the validity of instruments, procedures, or experiments, research may replicate elements of prior projects or the project as a whole. It consists of Proposal, Abstract, Table of Contents, List of Figures, List of Tables, List of Appendices, List of Abbreviations, Introduction, Literature Review, Data Analysis and Presentation, Methodology and System Analysis, System Implementation, Summary, Recommendation, Conclusion, References/Bibliography, Questionnaires, Software Screenshots and Source Codes.

In Nigerian institutions including Universities, Polytechnics and Monotechnics (Colleges of Education), a research project is usually carried out in the last semester of the final year academic session. It has the largest credit unit (as much as 6) in most schools. Because of this, every Nigerian student wants to make a distinction (A) on it so as to boost their overall academic performance of the degree programme. Wouldn’t you want to also make a distinction? Sure, you want to. Let’s take a look at how you can easily write a final year research project that makes a distinction.

How to Write a Final Year Research Project

Choose the right final year research project topic.
Develop research questions.
Report on the research.

Choosing the right final year research project topic

While some students come to their research project with a clear research question to address, many others arrive at this point with several ideas, but with no specific research question. In view of the pressure to get started fairly quickly, this can cause anxiety and even panic. It is, however, a common situation to be in. There are several ways forward:

Talk to others: what topics are other students considering? Does this spark an interest? Don’t wait until you have a fully formed research question before discussing your ideas with others, as their comments and questions may help you to refine your focus.
Look at other writing: set aside some time to spend in the library, skimming through the titles of research papers in your field over the past five years, and reading the abstracts of those you find most interesting.
Look through the dissertations of previous students in your department: the topics may give you inspiration, and they may have useful suggestions for further research.
Think about your own interests: which topic have you found most interesting, and is there an element that could be developed into a research project?
Is there a related topic of interest to you that has not been covered in the syllabus, but would fit with the theory or methodology you have been working with?
Be extra critical: is there something in your course so far that you have been sceptical about, or which you think needs further study?
Read about an interesting topic and keep asking the question ‘Why?’ This may identify a research question you could address.
Visit trusted websites that offer research project topics and materials for final year students in Nigeria and take a look at the project topics available on the platforms. You can also look out for free project topics and materials PDF so as to minimize your costs.

Remember that a research study can:

replicate an existing study in a different setting;
explore an under-researched area;
extend a previous study;
review the knowledge thus far in a specific field;
develop or test out a methodology or method;
address a research question in isolation, or within a wider programme of work; or
apply a theoretical idea to a real-world problem.

This list is not exhaustive, and you need to check whether your department has a preference for particular kinds of a research study.

Submit and discuss your proposed project topic with the member of academic staff who is assigned to supervise your project. Provided they feel that they know enough about the subject to supervise it, and provided that it can be interpreted as falling within the broad fields of your degree subject, academic staff are generally open to suggestions.

You should think realistically about the practical implications of your choice, in terms of the time requirement; necessary travelling; access to equipment or room space; access to the population of interest; and possible costs.

For example, a computer science project on design and implementation of a cyber café security system in Kano, Nigeria may require you to visit cyber cafés (computer/business centres) in Kano to interview the ICT company owners from the region. If the practical considerations associated with your research ideas are unrealistic, you need to consider whether you are willing to modify or reconsider your project.

Developing final year research project questions

Once your topic has been accepted by your department, you need to begin the process of refining the topic and turning it into something that is focused enough to guide your final year research project. Try describing it as a research problem that sets out:

The issue that you are going to be investigating;
your argument or thesis (what you want to prove, disprove, or explore); and
the limits of your research (i.e. what you are not going to be investigating).

It is important that you establish a research problem at, or close to the start of your project. It is one of the key tools you have, to ensure that your project keeps going in the right direction. Every task you undertake should begin with you checking your research problem and asking “will this help me address this problem?”

You should be willing to revise your research problem as you find out more about your topic. You may, for example, discover that the data you were hoping to analyse is not available, or you may encounter a new piece of information or a new concept while undertaking a literature search, that makes you rethink the basis of your research problem. You should always talk to your supervisor before you make any substantial revision to your plans, and explain why you think you need to make the change.

Reporting the research

As you conduct research, you are likely to realise that the topic that you have focused on is more complex than you realised when you first defined your research question. The research is still valid even though you are now aware of the greater size and complexity of the problem. A crucial skill of the researcher is to define clearly the boundaries of their research and to stick to them. You may need to refer to wider concerns; to a related field of literature; or to alternative methodology; but you must not be diverted into spending too much time investigating relevant, related, but distinctly separate fields.

Starting to write up your research can be intimidating, but it is essential that you ensure that you have enough time not only to write up your research but also to review it critically, then spend time editing and improving it. The following tips should help you to make the transition from research to writing:

In your research plan, you need to specify a time when you are going to stop researching and start writing. You should aim to stick to this plan unless you have a very clear reason why you need to continue your research longer.
Take a break from your project. When you return, look dispassionately at what you have already achieved and ask yourself the question: ‘Do I need to do more research?’
Speak to your supervisor about your progress. Ask them whether you still need to collect more data.

Remember that you cannot achieve everything in your dissertation. A section where you discuss ‘Further Work’ at the end of your dissertation will show that you are thinking about the implications your work has for the academic community.

Summary

Think carefully about your final year research project topic and ensure that it is sufficiently focused.
Write a detailed final year research project proposal to help you anticipate the issues/problems that you are going to deal with.
Devote time to planning and stick to your plan.
Work closely with your supervisor and respect the time and advice that they give you.
Be organised and take detailed notes when you are undertaking your literature survey and data collection.
Make a clear decision about stopping data collection.
Move positively into writing-up your research.
Allocate enough time for reviewing and editing your writing.
Remember that you cannot achieve everything in your dissertation, but you can critically appraise what you have done, and outline ideas for further, relevant research.

The Vice Chancellor at the inauguration charged the Board to ensure timely completion of programmes by students. In his response on behalf of the Management and Board of the School, the Dean expressed commitment to the responsibility assigned.

Currently the School is administered by a Management Committee headed by the Dean of Postgraduate School, Professor Patrick Amidu Audu who serves as the Chairman. Other members are the Secretary of SPGS, Mr. Nuhu Shamaki, the Accountant, Mr. James Onuh and the Auditor, Mr. Muhammed Jibrin. Also, there is a Board of School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS), headed by the Dean, Professor Patrick Amidu Audu who also serves as the Chairman.

FULOKOJA POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Masters Degree (Academic and Professional)

The Master degree programme runs for a minimum period of 4 semesters and a maximum period of 6 semesters for full-time candidates; a minimum period of 6 semesters and a maximum period of 8 semesters for part-time candidates. All Master Degree Programmes are by coursework. The following may qualify for the Master Degree admission:

Graduates of Federal University Lokoja or other recognized institutions who have obtained the approved degree of Bachelor with at least second-class division or its equivalent or candidates with University degree and appropriate Postgraduate Diploma of Federal University Lokoja or other recognized institutions with at least a credit level pass.

(ii) Candidates with only Bachelor’s degree in Third Class division and a relevant Postgraduate

Diploma

(iii) Candidates whose degrees are unclassified with average of “C” or 50% or above. Such candidates may be subjected to qualifying tests.

(iv) Candidates must possess five (5) relevant O’Level credits including English and Mathematics.

(v). NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate

(vi). Candidates may be required to pass examination set by departments to which they are seeking admission to determine their suitability for postgraduate work.

(vii). Candidates who hold qualifications other than the ones listed above, which are acceptable to the Board of the School of Postgraduate Studies and Senate of the University.

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.)

The Master of Philosophy degree programme is available only to full-time candidates. It runs for a minimum period of two (2) semesters and a maximum period of four (4) semesters. Candidates in this category are eligible for conversion to Ph.D. To be eligible for conversion for the Ph.D. programme, candidates are expected to score not less than 4.00 CGPA at the end of the first session. The following may qualify for Master of Philosophy admission:

Graduates of Federal University Lokoja or other recognized institutions who have obtained a Master degree (Academic) with a CGPA of less than 3.0 on a 4-point scale or less than 4.0 on 5-point scale.

(ii) Holders of a Master degree (Academic) in a cognate discipline with a CGPA of 4 and above.

(iii) Candidates must possess five (5) relevant O’Level credits including English and Mathematics.

(iv) NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate

(v) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the ones listed above, which are acceptable to the Board of the School of Postgraduate Studies and Senate of the University.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

The Ph.D. degree programme runs for a minimum period of sis (6) semesters and a maximum period of ten (10) semesters. Relevant courses will be taken for the Ph.D. full-time studies where prescribed and a Thesis is required at the end of the Ph.D. programme. The following may qualify for the Doctor of Philosophy admission:

Graduates of Federal University Lokoja and other recognized institutions who have obtained good Master degree (Academic) with a CGPA of not less than 4.0 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale appropriate to the proposed area of study.

(ii) Graduates of Federal University Lokoja and other recognized institutions who have obtained Master of Philosophy degree appropriate to the proposed area of study.

(iii) In addition to (i) and (ii) above, candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Second Class lower division.

(iv) Candidates must possess five (5) relevant O’Level credits including English and Mathematics.

NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate

(vi) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the ones listed above, which are acceptable to the Board of the School of Postgraduate Studies and Senate of the University.

UTME 2018: How To Upload WAEC and NECO Awaiting Result on JAMB Portal

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) requires those 2018 UTME and Direct Entry Candidates using awaiting results (as well as those who already have their O-level results) to Upload it to JAMB Portal for 2018/2019 admission exercise.

Now, these question comes to every candidates mind, how do I upload 2018 WAEC or NECO awaiting result to JAMB Profile or Portal?
This is a very good question and I walk-you-through and explain how to upload O'Level results to JAMB Portal.

The JAMB profile has now become a means to do anything regarding JAMB examination; including WAEC and NECO 2018 awaiting result upload to JAMB portal.
That is to say, you cannot do anything outside JAMB profile as 2018 UTME candidate.

The WAEC and NECO result upload is going to be exactly the way Jamb gave room for correction of details in Jamb profile but with a little diffrence.

JAMB Portal will be made editable so that candidates can be able to fill in or update their O'level results.

How to Upload 2018 WAEC & NECO Awaiting O’level Results To JAMB Portal

Visit an accredited JAMB CBT centre or JAMB office
Ensure You go with a copy of your O’level result (WAEC/NECO) as well as the email address associated with your JAMB profile.
Once you get to the CBT centre or JAMB office, request for an upload of your O’level result on JAMB Portal.

Note: This will attract a fee. The process is also the same for those using two sittings. You just need to specify the number of sittings and the result for each sitting.

How To Know If Your 2018 WAEC/NECO O-level Result Has Been Uploaded To JAMB Portal.

The major questions I have been getting from JAMB candidates as regards to uploading of awaiting O'level result is that

“I went to JAMB cbt centre to upload my WAEC and NECO awaiting result. They told me that they have uploaded the result. However, I checked my JAMB profile and didn’t see any result uploaded. How do I know if my WAEC OR NECO awaiting O'level results have been uploaded?”

The answer is that “as long as you have taken your O-level result to JAMB approved cbt centres for upload, be rest assured that they have uploaded it.

UNILAG Post-UTME 2018: Cut-off mark, Dates, Eligibility And Registration Details

UNILAG Post-UTME registration, cut-off mark, eligibility, application cost, screening fee, deadline and other relevant details for the 2018/2019 academic session have been announced. Cut-off mark is 200. Application cost is N2000. Deadline is August 3rd. Screening holds Monday 6th - 10th August, 2018. Details below

The University of Lagos online registration for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise for Admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2018/2019 Academic Year will commence from 23rd July, 2018 to 3rd August, 2018.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES:

Candidates who made University of Lagos their first choice in the 2018/2019 UTME and scored 200 and above are eligible for screening. In addition, candidates must possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

Candidates, who will not be sixteen (16) years of age by 31st October, 2018 are not eligible and need not apply.

Candidates who do not participate in the Post-UTME Screening will not be considered for admission.

SCREENING FEE: N2,000

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

Eligible candidates should log on to University of Lagos website www.unilag.edu.ng and then, take the following steps:

Login with UTME number as username and surname in lowercase as
Generate and print payment advice

The Management of the National Service Youth Corps, [NYSC] has announced the commencement date for the Online Registration For 2018 Batch ‘B’ Corps Members.

Kindly note the following 2018 Batch “B” Prospective Corps Members (PCMs)
(a) PCMs who are yet to register in the NYSC portal including the newly uploaded graduates, your Registration starts Tuesday 10th July, 2018 to Monday 16th July, 2018.
(b) The NYSC portal will be open for Re-validation only for those mobilized in 2017 Batch “B” and previous Batches, but did not go to the Orientation Camp.
(c) Those who were mobilized in 2018 Batch “A” and were Issued Call-up Numbers but were informed that their Orientation will be July 2018, are not to register again or revalidate on the portal. Instead you are to go to the Orientation Camp on the 24th July, 2018. You will be informed when to print your Call-up Letters through SMS.
(d) PCMs who submitted applications for dropping of Biometrics during 2018 Batch “A” Camp Verification should login to their dashboard and recapture their Finger Print from 10th July, 2018 to 16th July, 2018.

According to the information all 2018 Batch "B" Prospective Corps Members are to note that online registration will start on Tuesday 10th July, 2018 to Monday 16th July, 2018. as proposed in the timetable for 2018.

The below steps has been outlined for a successful registration for all National Youth Service Corps Prospective Corp Members for 2018.

Tips to guide PCMs during NYSC Online Registration.

1. NYSC Online Registration Portal address www.nysc.org.ng

2. If you are registering for the first time, click on " Registration for Mobilization 2018 Batch B".

3. If you have registered previously and did not complete your Registration or Submit, do not create a new account instead click on "Login Here" to continue your registration with your previous Username and Password.

4.The Revalidation link is only for those mobilized in 2017 Batch "B" and previous Batches, but did not go to the Orientation Camp.

5. Apply for correction of spelling mistakes and rearrangement of names on your dashboard.

NYSC Batch ‘B’ Online Registration Guide and Requirements - 2018

Prospective Corps Members are to logon to the NYSC Website via any of the link:

PCM should ensure that they have functional e-mail addresses that they can access and Nigerian (GSM) telephone numbers with which to register.

Locally trained PCM are expected to use correct Matriculation numbers to register.

For locally-trained graduates, only those whose names appear in the Senate/Academic Board Approved Result lists submitted by their Institutions will have access to the register on the NYSC portal.

Foreign-trained PCM should ensure that their Institutions are accredited. Where in doubt, it is their responsibility to approach Federal Ministry of Education for verification.

The letter of verification must be uploaded during registration.

Those who graduated from Institutions outside Nigeria, (Foreign-trained graduates), are to visit the NYSC portal, register and upload the following documents:

West African School Certificate(WASC) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ Level) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or NECO (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or High School Diploma or its equivalent.
First Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate (Second Degree or Ph.D not necessary).
Transcript of the first Degree or HND.
International travelling Passport showing data page and date of departure for the course of study.

It is the responsibility of the prospective corps members who studied in non-English speaking countries to get their Certificates and Transcripts translated into English language before uploading.

All graduates of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Physiotheraphy, Radiology, Optometry, Medical Laboratory Science and Pharmacy are expected to have their Certificates of Registration with their professional bodies. Payment receipts are not acceptable.

Unlike in the past, Foreign-trained graduates should NOT visit NYSC Headquarters, Abuja for verification of their documents.

This exercise will now be done at the Orientation Camps.

They should simply print their call-up letters on-line and report at the Orientation camps in their States of deployment, but should come to the camp with the original documents they uploaded for verification.

Anybody who presents any fake document will be demobilized and decamped.

Prospective corps members should ensure that Passport photographs used meet the following specifications:

Ensure your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth and jaw) is fully shown without bending
Ensure the picture fills the frame and centralized
Ensure the Photo background is white or off-white with no shadow.
On no account should prospective corps members register by PROXY.
They should also remember the fingers used for their biometric capturing as these will be used for verification at the orientation camps.
Those who cannot be verified with their biometric at the orientation camp will not be registered.

Only prospective corps members who want their call-up numbers sent to them through SMS and wish to PRINT their call-up letters on-line are expected to pay the sum of Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00) (see NYSC Portal on how to make payment).

PCM who do not want to pay the N3,000.00 have the option of going to their schools to collect their call-up numbers and call-up letters.

All prospective corps members who paid for the online registration before but were not mobilized need not pay again.

Married female prospective corps members (whether locally or foreign-trained) should upload copies of their marriage Certificates, evidence of Change of name and their husbands’ place of domicile during registration.

The orientation camp is highly not ideal for pregnant and nursing mothers. Prospective corps members in this categoriy are therefore to note that they will not be accommodated.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS/ELIGIBILITY

Candidates seeking admission into full time programme as listed above must possess any of the following:-

(a) NECO/WASSCE/GCE’O’LEVEL with five (5) Credits passes at one or two sittings including English Language and Mathematics. Three of the Credit passes must be relevant to the course the candidate wishes to offer.

(b) Grade II Teacher’s Certificate (TC II) with credit or merit passes in five subjects including English and Mathematics, three of which must be relevant to the course the candidate wishes to offer as his/her specialization.

(c) For candidates wishing to offer courses in Vocational and Technical Education, RSA or City and Guilds Intermediate Certificate, and the Federal Craft Training Certificate (FCTC) credit/merit passes in at least five subjects, are acceptable as qualifications.

(d) NABTEB Certificate with Five (5) credit passes at a sitting in relevant subjects
(e) Senior Arabic and Islamic Studies Certificate or Higher Arabic and Islamic Studies Certificate from a recognized institution with 5 Credit/Merit passes including English Language, is also acceptable.

USEFUL TIPS:
The following subjects are acceptable as entry requirements for Social Studies: Government, Economics, History, Commerce and Islamic Studies. Also credit in Government is acceptable in lieu of History for any course in History combination.

LAUTECH Post-UTME registration, cut-off mark, eligibility, screening date, application cost, deadline and other relevant details forthe 2018/2019 academic session have been announced. Cut-off mark is 160. Cost is N2000. Deadline is Juy26th. Screening holds July 27th-28th. Full details below

1. ELIGIBILITY

Notice is hereby given to all candidates that made Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso as their first choice and second choice of institution in the 2018/2019 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to a Post-UTME Computer Based Test (CBT) Screening Exercise between Friday, July 27th and Saturday, 28th July, 2018 at 10:00am. For an applicant to be eligible for the exercise, he/she must have scored 160 and above in the 2018/2019 University Matriculation Examination.

2. METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants are to proceed to the admissions website of the University www.admissions.lautech.edu.ng to make payment of a fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000 .00) only for the purpose of online registration for the screening exercise using Inter-Switch Enabled Debit Cards (ATM).

Applicants are expected to carefully complete and submit the online application form as incomplete application form will not be treated. In completing the online application form, a candidate is expected to upload a digital copy of his/her scanned passport photograph which must be in JPEG (i.e. jpg) and must not be more than 20kb. The photograph must be in white background showing ears, with no cap and glasses.

On submission of the application form, a candidate is to print out an acknowledgement page which assigns him/her the venue and date of the screening exercise.

3. OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

a) The application form will be available online for completion and submission from Friday, 13th to Thursday 26th July 2018. Applicants are to note that late completion/submission of application forms will not be entertained.

b) Any applicant with blurred picture on the acknowledgement page will not be admitted into the screening center as the photograph will be used as means of identification.
c) Applicants are also to provide valid and active email addresses and phone numbers through which the University can send information

d) Any applicant who fails to present himself/herself for the Computer Based Test (CBT) as scheduled, automatically forfeits being considered for admission.

e) Applicants are advised to come for the exercise with their acknowledgement page colour print-out. The use of cell phones (GSM, CDMA, PDA) and other electronic devices is NOT ALLOWED during the test.

f) Applicants are advised to BEWARE OF FRAUDSTERS as the University will not be liable for any transaction with any unauthorized person.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Has Released the Results Statistics of the WASSCE for School Candidates [May/June] for 2018/2019 Academic Session - 76.84% Obtains 5 Credits.The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the result statics of the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2018/2019

Announcing the results today at the WAEC headquarters in Lagos, the Head of National Office (HNO), Mr Olu Adenipekun, said the performance of candidates for its examinations in the last three years has been fluctuating in view of the outcome of the just released 2018 examination.

In the analysis of the results, he said: “1,578,846 candidates registered for the examination, out of which 1,572,396 candidates sat the examination.

In the breakdown of the results, the HNO said: “1,213,244 candidates representing 76.84% obtained credits and above in a minimum of any five subjects (I. e with or without English Language and/or Mathematics.

“858,424 candidates representing 54.59% obtained credits and above in a minimum of five subjects including English Language but without Mathematics.

“786,016 candidates representing 49.98% obtained credits and above in minimum of five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

“In this category were 389,655 male and 396,361 female, representing 47.32% and 52.92% respectively. ”

The HNO said that the candidates, who have fulfilled their financial obligations to the council were free to check the details if their performance on the council’s result website.

All Candidates are now implored to head over to the council website to check their results online with the WAEC Scratch Cards purchased or Pins issued to candidates during registration.

Basic (IJMB) Studies Programme

must choose Ahmadu Bello University as first choice.
iv.        The duration of the Remedial Studies Programme is twelve (12) months only.

Interested applicants are to go to any of the following designated Banks nationwide to obtain an “E-Transaction Pin” in order to apply.
You are to pay the sum of N 5, 000 at any of the following Banks viz: ABU Micro Finance Bank, First Bank, Unity Bank, UBA Bank and Zenith Bank for your “E – Transaction Pin” which the Bank will generate and print for you.

It is vital that all university students, especially Freshers, study and learn how to calculate their GPA upon release of each semester’s result and to also make up the cumulative at the end of every session. Doing this will help you evaluate your academic performance from time to time and improve.

CGPA Scale in Nigerian Universities
Performance in semester examinations and assessments for courses/subjects/modules are classified into letter Grades (from A, B, C, D, E, to F) which represent a range of score or marks a student can obtain. A particular grade point is assigned to these grades, see below.

Calculating Your Grade Point Average (GPA)
Every Course/subject/module carries a fixed number of Credit Units (CU). Quality points (QP) are derived from multiplying the Credit Units (CU) for a course by the Grade Point (GP) earned by the student in that course.

Eg. If in a 3 Credit Unit course, a student scores 63% which is a B with a Grade Point of 4, the Quality points for the student in that course is 3 x 4 = 12.

Grade Point Average (GPA) is derived by dividing the Total Quality point (TQP) for the semester by the Total Credit Unit (TCU) for that semester.

Eg. If in a semester, a student earned 56 quality points for 18 Credit Units, the students GPA is 56/18 = 3.11

Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is derived by adding the Total Quality Points (TQP) for all semesters to date and dividing by the Total Credit Units (TCU) for all semesters to date.

Eg. If a student earns a QP of 56 for 18 CU in the first semester and earns QP of 67 for 20 CU in the second semester, His CGPA is TQP/TCU = (56 + 67) / (18 + 20) = 123/38 =3.24

Agrarian Revolution Mandate felt by Ilorin community and
environs, and especially towards combating food insecurity.

During the commissioning, the BOR Secretary noted that the
essence of opening Ilorin sales outlet was to further reach out
to a larger population. “Until people feel your impact, whatever
you are doing is theory. What we are doing today is making
the impact of the agrarian revolution felt. LMU is just starting
and we will make more progress.”

While encouraging the
management not to despise days of little beginning, he further
stated that the vision of the University is much bigger than
what is currently being seen.

He said the products from the
University will soon be seen nationwide and world over. He
thanked the Management and the Farm Consultant for making
the day a reality.

During his welcome address at the commissioning, the Vice-
Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Olayanju noted that LMU is
committed to the agrarian mandate which is better
demonstrated beyond feeding immediate community to
making available the quality products from LMU Farms to the
large market.

“The choice of this location was informed by the
popular demand for our products following a few occasions of
our sales outreaches in Ilorin. Besides, this move will serve to
bring our products closer to some of our customers in and
around Ilorin metropolis. We can guarantee steady supply of
products to our customers across the nation through this
outlet as even more of this will be opened to meet the growing
demand of our products.

“One thing among others that distinguish us as a people is our
quest for excellence, as being resonated in our academic,
research, and agripreneurial output. Our uncompromising
stance for quality assurance and global best practice continues
to give us competitive advantage.

Credit is humbly given to
our dear Chancellor, Dr. David Oyedepo, at this juncture, for
his ceaseless support and inspiring charge that keep us forging
ahead towards actualizing the agrarian vision of the
University.”

He added that LMU community has a firm resolution to give
optimal satisfaction to customers, as the institution has not
only what it takes to be in business but also to be on the lead excellently, epitomizing the proprietor base.

The Farm Consultant, Pastor Debo Onafowora reitrated1 that
the opening of the Sales Outlet is to capture Ilorin metropolis,
which according to him would open bigger opportunity for the
Farm. He also noted that the outlet would be in full operation 7
days a week as quality fresh products such as Eggs, Garri,
Fufu, Rice, Elubo-Lafun, Cassava and Plantain Flour, Chicken,
Smoked Fish, Gizzards and many more are available for sales.
