RAND is open to K-12 students who have access to H.323 (IP) videoconference equipment.

Now in its fifth year, RAND is modeled after the international RAP event but includes only K-12 classes in North Dakota. If you and your students have never participated in either event, then consider RAND a wonderful way to get started! And if you'd like to step up to RAP but aren't sure if you'll be ready, then register for both events and consider using RAND as a great way to prepare your class for the RAP event scheduled for February 22–March 5, 2010. Either way, you're providing your students with an awesome way to celebrate reading and literacy with another classroom! There is no cost to participate.

Filtering works correcly, but when one computer in a school uses the bypass profile, all computers in the school are affected.

EduTech and ITD are looking at a number of solutions, some of which may take several weeks or more to put into place. During this time, the bypass option has been removed from the filters.
