With the destruction of Bandai Visual USA, people were wondering about the fate of BV USA’s back catalogue. Bandai Ent. USA has said they will be distributing most of their former sister company’s licenses. But Patlabor the Movie and the original Gunbuster series were noticeably absent from the list. While there’s still no word about these titles, Beez UK has said that they will be releasing Freedom and the GUNBUSTER vs DIEBUSTER: Aim for the Top! Movie on Blu Ray. This week myself and Aaron from the Weekly Anime Review take a look at Super Dimension Century Orguss, a classic series from the 1980’s. You know “the before time”. Anywho, a hiccup has meant that the two volumes I own and the one volume Aaron owns, are the only ones we can have at the moment. Imaginasian and TMS are working to start printing more DVD’s soon but it’s not looking good folks.

This show is the twin to my appearance on the WARP anime podcast hosted by Aaron. Check out it here. Aaron released his show AGES ago before he even went on holiday! Oh, well.

UPDATE:In relation to Lolita clothing, Sinead pointed out that a person dressing lolita should never show off skin however this is not true. There is a genre of Lolita clothing that shows of a lot of skin and it is called Erololita. A good name for it Burlesque Lolita. See the image at the top of the post for an example.

Can\'t seem to go forward

Hey all,
right about now you should be at least enjoying part two of our three part, end of season, episode 14. But, due to the fact that I broke my mic on Monday and only got a replacement today, I’m behind on editing. It’ll be a while before I finished editing the last of the current season. So to make up for this I’m going to release all of the back episodes from “Season One”, that being two podcast co-reviews with Aaron from the WARP Anime Podcast and Gerald from Anime World Order plus the long-promised-but-never-released cosplay panel and Con-Director interview that I recorded from Eirtakon.

So I hope this will all done by Friday or Saturday. If not fire off a comment on this post or email me and ask what the hell is the hold-up.

Cover of Gunsmith Cats Vol.1

For the review this week I’m taking on Kenichi Sonoda’s hyper violent manga Gunsmith Cats. Nasty, quick and dangerous to know this title has what I describe as an unhealthy disrespect for life in general. That and 17 year olds passing for 13 year olds, their pedo explosive expert boyfriends(!?!), something I call the “Phantom Dick” and of course this man. Of course I’d never suggest that you watch copyrighted material with other companies music put in with it. No way, not at all.
