- eDarling allows you search by your own (personal search criteria).

- eHarmony shows you a written result of your personality test, eDarling shows bars in the 5 different personality traits.

- eDarling discloses when it was the last time a profile logged-in.

- at eDarling, no more “29 dimensions of compatibility” as eHarmony.

This blog SHOULD really review eDarling and compare with eHarmony using screenshots.
Not sure if it is forbidden to do that, and prove all what I had written above, because you could “uncover the pot” and destroy eHarmony.

Also turned off the automatic renewal feature at eharmony.com.

For what this is worth,

If it said “invalid email address”, the Forgot Password page wouldn’t have been able to look it up and send you a password retrieval email, now would it?

Actually, the site’s message is “You have entered an invalid password or email address.” Since your email address is correct, the password you gave isn’t.

It’s possible that the password retrieval email is stuck on their mail queue or went to your Junk Mail folder. If you can’t wait any longer, call the site.

Started off by doing Trines tip for $19.95 for 1 month (CCHC99US). Then cancelled my subscription and went through the motions to get to the 3 months for $4.95 banner. After clicking on that banner, instead of entering the code for the 3 months. I entered the code UBD77123 which gave me seven months for $29.70. Grand Total: I paid $50 for a total of 8 months, Aug 2010-April 2010 @ $6.25/month

However, I did have to go about getting to the page for entering in the Promo Code in a slightly different way than the other subscribers who have commented above. I didn’t have the advertisement banner to click on as they had mentioned seeing (even with logging out & then back in again). I guess eH just doesn’t have a current advertisement for renewals at the moment. But anyway, what I did have was an “Extend Membership” button in the upper right-hand corner of the page under the “My Matches” tab. I clicked on this button and it took me to a screen that had several different options for renewing my membership as well as a field at the bottom to put in a Promo Code. This is where I tried the Promo Code from Trines post (Comment #1306), and viola, it worked. Hope this helps! Thank you all for sharing your experiences with the various Promo Codes too – It saves a bundle!

I was wrong.

I needed to create another fake male profile there at Jazzed to test how the “I Like” button performs.
When you click that button, it sends a special ice-breaker to the person.

e.g.
I had clicked the “I Like” button to the question a female answered:
“If you could have a dinner party with any 3 people living or dead, who would you invite?
My 3 grandparents”

and the system automatically sent her a message saying:
(the fake male profile I had invented for testing purposes) likes your answer to the question ‘If you could have a dinner party with any 3 people living or dead, who would you invite?’

I had clicked the “I Like” button to the question a female answered:
“If you could be a contestant on any game show, which one would it be?
MXC (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge) – Japanese Game show aka Takeshi’s Castle. It’s hilarious!”

and the system automatically sent her a message saying:
(the fake male profile I had invented for testing purposes) likes your answer to the question ‘If you could be a contestant on any game show, which one would it be?’

I had clicked the button 8 times in one profile, so I sent her 8 Nudges/Likes.

I had previously thought that button was performing like the “I Like” button at Facebook, where it is part of a behavioural recommendation engine by personal preferences, but the “I LIke” button at Jazzed only sends nudges to the profile of a person.
