DCTB3M19 and JAN8DEAL did not work. I just used code RNW96US2 on the website and it worked. It is for 19.95 a month…with a renewal renewal rate of 19.95 a month (US subscriber).

I tried to cancel my E Harmony Account in February of 2010 because of the type of matches and the way it didn’t work for me. I was told that I was already charged for 3 months of service and it would expire on May 17th 2010. In mid March, I no longer receive any e mail from E Ripoff. Now they send me this worthless amgaxine Maxim

EHarmony is not serving the customers best interest, look at the BBB for the problems they have created. You can tell by their three day cancelation policy, anyone with such a policy knows they will sell you rotten goods and you will not know it and will have a difficult time canceling in time.

Be aware, you will also find yourself not being able to say anything because what you can say is structured..they decide what you say and whos profiles you view.

Called in using the ‘JAN8DEAL’ on 3/11/10 and rep said it was only applicable to specific areas for 3 months at $9.95/mos and when I asked where he said US only – not Canada.

What do they consider a receipt? I can print out the page from “My account” showing when I subscribed and how much I paid – will that work?

The last time eH did an upgrade, many members experienced the problem of closed matches showing up on their ‘new’ and/or ‘communicating’ page. They have a fix for it, just call CS, explain that your closed matches are not migrating to the closed tab and they’ll have tech services apply the fix to your account.

Ian. Go to your match settings and look at YOUR location and search area. Is your billing address in Wales? Make sure all of your information is correct, IF it is and you’re still getting matches, contact eh, there’s something wrong somewhere.

Lori,
Yes.
Once a Match is Closed, they will never show up again in the “Who’s Viewed me”.
Thus, if they go and look at your Profile in their “Closed” tab, they will NOT show up in “Who’s Viewed me”.

Actually, I’d say be careful to review each page of any website from which you are purchasing something. Watch for the check boxes that subscribe you to magazines, newsletters, etc. I got caught in one myself just by checking out a website. I ended up with tons of email from companies I never heard of selling things I neither wanted nor needed.

There’s a check box on the subscription page that lets you opt out of the magazines. eH customer service reps do not have access to the magazine subscriptions, so if you don’t want them, it’s best to be extra careful when subscribing and opt out in the very beginning.

As another dimension, the e-Harmony 800 customer service will NOT remedy or cancel unwanted magazine subscriptions incurred by joining e-Harmony. Turns out when you join you are given the option of magazine subscriptions. If you do not select one, you will be sent one THEY pick out. I received Maxim, a sexually oriented men’s magazine I did not order and do not want. Neither Maxim not EHarmony were willing to cancel this subscription. That is, it is EHarmony’s policy for unwanted sexually oriented magazines to be sent to subscribers, then when you try to cancel they refer you to their “partner”, m2mags.com. My son now owes hundreds of dollars for unwanted magazines he has tried three times to cancel. EHarmony customer service rep Allison of Fargo, ND, claims a simple email to hordway@m2mags.com will cancel the subscription, but actually you may be in for a long and frustrating battle. Beware of E-Harmony!!!!

I like eH because I, and anyone else cannot do the manual perusal.

I also like eH because it “sort of” protects me from crazies. My pics only appear to a limited number of people at a limited time frame. The chances of that being discovered by enemies, crazy exes, etc. are low – compared to all the “fishing” sites.

I think adding okCupid’s multi-choice questions would help further enhance the match in eH.

match, plentyoffish, reelspark are.. less of a value unless you just want to ’sow your oats’. Then they are excellent resource.
