A warning about omeprazole/prilosec/PPI overdoses

I just thought I’d post a warning about taking high doses of omeprazole (and other proton pump inhibitors such as nexium, lansoprazole, pantoprazole) to try and stop people making the same mistake I have made. Do I have exercise induced asthma?

I play soccer and for the past year or two I get winded really easily and after games, I start coughing if I take deep breaths. The coughing usually persists for a couple hours. I don't know if I'm just out of shape or if I have exercise induced asthma. And this happens both indoors and outdoors in every season so I don't think it's allergies. Anyone know? Dull lower left abdominal pain?

I have been having this sort of tightness in my lower left abdomen area. Helicobacter pylori, second time treatment

Hello all I am 29 years old male. Last year I had huge heartburn therefor I did an endoscopy+biopsy which found gastritis and H. pylori. GI surgery didnt work!!!!!!!

I just had GI surgery. It is called a nisssen fundoplication. However I do not think it worked because I started coughing and choking again. Needless to say I am devastated. My doctor says maybe it didn't get tight enough. Do I need to have the same surgery again?!... click here to continue

chest pain!

I\'m 20yrs old, 5.7feet, 52kg. recently suffering from a tight or rather say sharp chest pain that increases vigorously if i move an inch. it hurts a lot. bujging disks and rectal pressure

Can bulging disks (L4 & L5) cause rectal pressure? Driving my wife nuts. Has been in spinal decomprssion treatment for 4 or 5 months and at first it seemed to help but now not sure.
