I have been diagnosed with bipolar 1. Im still not fully educated on my condition,but all i know is i have frequent mood swings. Alcohol and Mania

Alcohol for me triggers depression or severe mixed episodes. I've only been manic for a couple of days with that euphoric feeling once. When I was just manic I ended up drinking a week in a row and it turned into a severe mixed episode. Largactil anti-psychotics causing insomnia

Bipolar, wife lost job, contemplating joint suicide

To all who have responded: Yes, we are still here, thanks more to my wife than to me. She is able to pull out of her depression much more quickly than I am, and then has to drag me kicking and screaming back from the brink. Atypical antipsychotic Saphris for Bipolar ?

My experience is similar to Cassick1. Love It!! I went from the meds I was on which made me useless and comatose and not much of a human being to a whole new me. I have a life now.
