How to detect HBsAg?

I know HBsAg is the surface antigen of HBV. But im asking how LITERALLY or what doctors do to detect it? Example is that do they mix something? Do they just look at a microscope to detect HBsAg or something like that? If you can give me specific procedures and specific variables, that would be great. Thank you for your effort reading this and advance thank you for answering it.:)...
