A warning about omeprazole/prilosec/PPI overdoses

I just thought I’d post a warning about taking high doses of omeprazole (and other proton pump inhibitors such as nexium, lansoprazole, pantoprazole) to try and stop people making the same mistake I have made. Helicobacter pylori, second time treatment

Hello all I am 29 years old male. Last year I had huge heartburn therefor I did an endoscopy+biopsy which found gastritis and H. pylori. GI surgery didnt work!!!!!!!

I just had GI surgery. It is called a nisssen fundoplication. However I do not think it worked because I started coughing and choking again. Needless to say I am devastated. My doctor says maybe it didn't get tight enough. Do I need to have the same surgery again?!... click here to continue

burning sensation in stomach area

burning sensation in stomach area

6 months pregnant and I cannot swallow anything without pain.

I am 6 months pregnant, and 18 years old. I have had a history of acid reflux after eating cucumbers but my doctor either didn't see the need, or didn't believe me to give me something for it. Why does my throat feel like this, what could it be?
