<description>Hi,
I am a MTC (Medullary Thyroid Cancer) patient. I've been on Vandetanib drug for past few years, but since the drug is no longer effective, and as per advise from various doctors abroad in UK and India, we are looking to switch over to Cometriq (Carbozanitinib). However, this drug is only available in U.S.. We have some specific questions regarding this:

<title><![CDATA[second opinion for the assessment of my thyroid.]]></title>
<description>I am wondering if I should seek a second opinion for the assessment of my thyroid.

My doctor recently noticed my thyroid was enlarged and ordered an ultrasound. The results of this are provided in the patient information. Following this the Dr ordered blood tests for TSH, T3 and T4 these came back normal. The Dr advised I am fine and that no biopsy is required for the nodule.
