hello readers.

it's been a long time (3 years, i think) since i've written anything at all, so let me give you an update.

obviously, i'm no longer 10 (don't let the bio fool you). i am currently an 8th grader at the main campus of philippine science high school. i've meddled in some stuff like writing for school newspapers and being in a band.

i guess that's all. really, not much has changed. i'll try to give this blog a rehaul and write new stuff but that most probably won't happen.

(btw the prize was a ps3, and yes, i got it)

It's the start of the summer vacation for me and other Lourdesians. Although it's only two days after our last class, I'm really looking forward to the day that my adviser calls. I CAN'T WAIT! I hope I've done enough for this year to grab the gold, but if I don't, it's ok (but I prefer that I do, hehe).

If I am the gold medalist for this year, my parents told me they have a reward, but I won't tell you yet. I'll just post about it if I'm the gold medalist.

My Laptop Was Infected!

My laptop was infected!

It happened when I loaded PSP games from a known game loading station. I loaded 2 games. After some days, I tried to load some games from my own netbook. When I plugged it into the USB port, my anti-virus program detected trojans in ALL of my PSP's folders. My netbook didn't shut down so I just pressed the off button. The next day when I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't! We brought the laptop to the NEO laptop center for check-up. It was reformatted. We just got it back today because it was brought
to the main branch.

So if you load games from your own computer, NEVER load from game stations.

We had another long weekend. Last Friday we had no class in school and last Monday was a holiday. Still, I was not able to use the computer much because I had soooo much work to do! I had 8 homeworks and projects to submit tomorrow. And this is one of them. I am sharing this now because I am really thankful for the Internet. I researched pictures and train templates for two of my projects. I hope none of my classmates and fellow grade four students copy this!!!! That would be cheating!!!!

To find out about important facts and relevant news, we can also use the internet. For music lovers the internet provides music websites for listening and video viewing. Lastly, we can watch our favorite TV programs that we missed watching on television. This is why I consider the internet as one of the most important technologies of our time.

Me and my CPMP classmates just had our recital yesterday. It was like a major concert! There were so many people. unlike our practicum, most of my classmates were not nervous anymore, but excited(though some were still nervous).

This was our first number. The song is Shine. We were grouped into pairs but some groups had three people.

This one is my medium, or group song. My groupmates were Alessandra, Migui, Ate Kristelle and Kuya Ken.

This is my solo number, I Believe. I almost fell down the stairs when I was going to the audience!

So there you have it, I wish you enjoyed the videos!

Repairing. Do Not Turn Off : A Wii April Fool's Day Joke

Just this morning, I was about to play my Guitar Hero on my Wii. When I turned the Wii on, a black screen appeared with the words Now Repairing. Do Not Turn Off. I did not power off my Wii for 30 minutes because I was afraid that the system might crash. I opened my laptop and I searched on Google. Thankfully, I found out on one website that this was an April Fool's Day joke on Wii. You just push the A button, and the preloader screen will appear. Press System Menu,
and then after that you will be led to the normal screen.

God of War: Chains of Olympus

God of War: Chains of Olympus is a good PSP game. I always use the Efreet (R+Triangle) and Charon's Wrath (R+O), both used to burn your enemies. If your enemies are far from you or above you, use the Light of Dawn (R+Square). It's not really hard, you can finish the game in 5 hours, if you use Mortal mode, which is very easy. After beating the game, you unlock the challenges, in-game movies, God Mode (which is very hard) ,and the Spud Of War costume. Complete the five challenges and then you will unlock the McKratos costume. And if you beat the game in God mode, you will unlock the Mime of War.

Final Term Na!

I am sorry guys but I'll be banned from using my gadgets by lunchtime today. Mami gives this rule everytime I have an exam. It's ok with me because I have to concentrate on studying. My final exam on MAWED (that's Music Arts and Work Education) is on Wednesday already but all the other subjects will be on March 8 to 10. After that, she says I can enjoy the whole summer with my gadgets. Help me pray to God that I'll have the gold medal again this year. Dadi said that if I'm a gold medalist he will buy me the guitar for Guitar Hero in Wii. I know I did my best but our prayers will help a lot.

So my next blog posts will be after March 10. See you soon.

Enchanted Kingdom 2010

I was able to go back to Enchanted Kingdom with Mami last Valentine's Day. We were there for the Hug-a-palooza event with other bloggers. I am lucky that I also got a free ride-all-you-can pass. Hey, wait, I'm also a blogger! Hahaha!

We reached Enchanted at 3pm because we left Makati after lunch. We road the shuttle bus because Dadi has work and Ninang borrowed Mami's car because they went to a Marriage Encounter to Tagaytay.

Mami told me that we will not ride the rides where we can get wet because she brought the DSLR. We also don't have a car to leave our bags. But it's ok because I was able to ride the bump car and train all by myself.

We also rode the giant ferris wheel and the Up, Up, and Away.

Then the Hug-a-palooza event happened at 6pm. Everyone hugged while the music was playing. We also watched fireworks.Uh oh, Mami and I don't have a nice picture hugging each other because no one will hold the camera.

After the program, I went inside the Zorb and walked on water. It's like a waterball and I had so much fun.

By 8pm, Ninang and Ninong were already outside Enchanted Kingdom to pick us up and we went home already. That is my short EK Valentine experience. I hope we can go back again but I want to stay for the whole day so I can try the other rides too.

Galileo's Birthday

Do you know who Galileo is? He is Galileo Galilei and he is a genius astronomer and physicist. He made a very powerful telescope that made him see the planets close to the Earth. Before the people believed that the Sun goes around the Earth but Galileo supported Copernicus and believed that the Earth goes around the sun. That is what we are now studying in school.

Anyway, Mami and I were invited to Galileo's birthday celebration last February 13, 2010 at the NIDO Fortified Science Discovery Center in the SM Mall of Asia. It was hosted by Galileo Enrichment Learning Program. The real birthday of Galileo Galilei is February 15, 1564 and he would be 446 years old. Of course, he is dead now. Hahaha!

I had a great time going around each booth. I had a flag and it is stamped in every booth that I go to. First, we went to the Kinder Golf booth. I played golf but this time with a real golf club. Because at home I only play golf using the Wii remote control. It was easier in the Kinder Golf booth.

I enjoyed the Global Art booth because I learned how to color properly with oil pastel. I think I will study there this summer so I can join poster making contests next school year. There was a comic strip making contest but I did not join it.

Then, I went to the Personi Fi booth. I made a house using plastic straw. You know the ones that we use in drinking juices and softdinks. I think it looked good.

I colored a picture in the Galileo Enrichment Learning Program booth. But this one was different. I had to add the numbers first so I will know what color to use. Cool huh!

When we went down, Mami went in line to write my name in the Red Digital Studio booth for my free photo shoot. While waiting for my turn, I played the Dexter's Lab game at the Power Mac booth. Then I was called for my shoot. I choose to get the boxing gloves and I posed like Pacquiao hahaha!

I really had a great time at Galileo's birthday celebration. I am glad that Mami and I were invited to the Galileo Enrichment Learning Program event.

See? I told you I am going back to blogging now. I did not go to school today because it's our school fair. I already went with Mami and Dadi yesterday and I used up all my chits. I will also write about it soon.

Why I Don't Blog Often

Mami and I went to two blog events this weekend and I had a good time. This made me decide to write more often. I am sorry because I am so busy in school. This week, our school is celebrating its jubilee year. That means Lourdes School of Mandaluyong is already 50 years old. I became busy with choir practice because our choir sang in the Limampu sa Manda alumni homecoming night. That's why I didn't have time to blog. But now, I am going back to blogging especially that Mami now lets me use my camphone in school, hehehe.

Ok, I promise to write about the two blog events we attended this weekend. But that will be in three days because it is our field demo tomorrow. Then I will still be busy in the mini fair. I hope you can wait because I will tell you more about it.

Runner-up!Hahaha!I won first runner-up in our school's MusicFest.It was my first time joining the contest because last year i had the flu during the auditions. I sang "Man in the Mirror"by Michael Jackson.I was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and a black vest.Of course,it's an MJ song so I wore a hat. The first place winner sang "No Surprise" by Chris Daughtry. One of the other contestants cried backstage because people were laughing at him.I think he was traumatized by that.

My First Confession

I had my First Confession last November 13. I confessed all my sins for the first time because I will have my First Communion on December 11. I am a Roman Catholic and after Baptism, these are the two sacraments I have to undergo. It feels good to tell Fr. Manuel all my sins. But now I have to try not to sin again because my First Communion is still weeks away. I am excited to have my First Communion. After these sacraments is Confirmation but maybe that will be when I am already in Grade Six.

My Very First Laptop!

I am so happy that I now have my own laptop. My El Abuelo, our old desktop computer, can now rest. But actually, we are giving El Abuelo to my cousins, Ate Meg and Kuya Olec. We hope they take good care of El Abuelo because it is already 8 years old, almost as old as me.

Okay, Yoda, my new laptop is just a netbook. It is a Neo Vivid V1103. My mom won it in a blogging contest. Since she already has her own laptop, her Mc Lelen (Lenovo), she gave Yoda to me. We named it Yoda because the contest is "You're The 1, Goldilocks" hehehe. My mom also has a hard time with the small screen and the small keyboard. It is really suited for kids.

Now I can take Yoda wherever I want, on top of my loft, in my parents' room, or in the living room. I can now blog more often. But I still cannot use it on weekdays. You already know why.

My Three Favorite Exhibits @ The Philippine Science Scentrum

When we visited the Philippine Science Centrum, we had the chance to see all of the exhibits. All of them were very cool! But my favorite three are these exhibits:

Wonder House

The Wonder House looks normal on the outside but is slightly slanted inside. When you go to the upper part of the house, it's like the house is moving!

Finger Tingler

The Finger Tingler works when you put one finger on each brass plate and rotate the crank attached. When you do, you will feel a mild electrical current run through your body.

Laser Harp

The Laser Harp is just like an ordinary harp except it uses lasers as strings! When you put your hand on the empty space inside the harp and move your fingers, you will hear music!

Well, that's my three favorite exhibits. They announced that in June they will have almost a hundred exhibits and the ticket price will go up to a hundred pesos. If you ask me, it's worth the price! I Can Now Use Chopsticks!

I love Japanese food especially Ebi Tempura. Now I can enjoy eating Japanese food using chopsticks when we eat at Japanese restaurants. It is true that practice makes perfect. I even ate my Gohan with chopsticks! Gohan is Japanese rice and it is sticky so it is easy to eat with chopsticks. Last week, we went to SM Taytay to eat at Rai Rai Ken. We also ordered Mixed Seafood Furai which is just mixed breaded seafood, Gyoza which is Japanese dumplings, and Miso Soup.

It Is Not Enough To Dream

I'm always teased by my classmates. Some of them call me Einstein or nerd, but yesterday, I was proud of it. Yesterday, I got 3 gold medals, one for General Excellence, one for our Math Proficiency Contest, and another one for the Computer Wizards Quest. I also have 2 silver medals, each for the Young Environmentalist Award and the Reading Comprehension Contest. Then my last medal is for being "Best Spook" of our class. So, all in all, I have 6 medals. Last year, I only got the Silver Medal for General Academic Excellence and Gold in Math Proficiency. When I was in Prep, I only thought of becoming the Gold Medalist. But as some other people say, it is not enough to dream. You have to work hard to achieve it.

I went with my mom and dad to my very first blogger's event last Saturday. It was a flu vaccine awareness seminar at Sanofi Pasteur in Makati. Mommy is a Nuffnang member and Nuffnang invited her. I was so scared. But I learned that I need to get the flu vaccine so I won't get sick this year. I think I can now audition for the Music Festival when I am already in Grade 3 because I will not get the flu anymore. So boys and girls, tell this to your mom and dads so you will be protected!

Yesterday, we were waiting for a FX that will take us home. My ninang went to the other lane,waiting for a taxi.Every taxi she asked "Junction po!" always refused.Then, my mom asked my dad if he can fetch us from Tiendesitas. This time ,Ninang asked every taxi she saw "Tiendesitas po!", but she was also refused. Mom texted Dad if he could fetch us from Galleria. He said yes. What a relief! I was so sweaty. Well that's what happened last night.

Lesson learned:Some taxi drivers here in the Phillipines always refuse.Maybe they do'nt want to earn money.Keeps me thinking.

Nakakatakot ang mabulag. Ayoko nga mabulag eh. Mahina na nga hearing ko bulag pa. Malas naman. Ganito kasi ang nangyari.

Nung Saturday may tumubo na kuliti sa mata ko. Ewan ko kung nakagat ng insect di naman makati. Nag-taekwondo pa nga ako eh. Eh kaso nung Sunday kasi gusto ko siya paliitin pinisil ko siya. Nagalit nga si Mami eh. Mamamaga daw. Ayun na nga nung Monday na maga na. Hindi ako pumasok sa school sabi rin kasi ni Mang Rudy (ang driver ng service namin) mata daw kaya dapat ipa-doktor agad. Buti walang pasok si Di.

Pumunta kami sa Medical City sa pedia ko kay Dr. Elizabeth Palmero. Hay pinagalitan tuloy ako sa ginawa ko. Kasi talagang para na akong si Pacquiao! Kaya binigyan ako ng antibiotics para lumiit na agad.

Kaya today magaling na. Buti nga holiday today. Kung hindi 3 days na akong absent. Tsk tsk tsk. Bad. Magulo nanaman sa Grade 2-Knowledge kasi absent ako at walang taga-saway.

Ganito pa lang siya nung morning sa clinic ni Doc.
Nung hapon mas malaki na! Ayayay!
