I feel like it’s officially the Christmas season now that our Christmas Planners have finally been made. Will this be your first one or have you been making them along with us for the past 12 years or so?

Here’s a list of the supplies you’ll need to make your Composition Book Christmas Planner this year: [affiliate links included]

• Composition Book
• 12×12 inch Christmas Scrapbook paper – we used paper from the paper pack Holly Jolly from DCWV
• Cardstock
• 6×9 White Envelopes
• Ultra Fine Black Sharpie
• Glue Dots
• Paper Trimmer and Scissors
• Pencil
• Stapler and Staples
• 2021 Christmas Planner Printables: Blue || Green

There’s no right or wrong way to make your planners. Seems like we make them a little different every year. This year one of us even made ours with a spiral bound notebook which we really liked. Might be what we all end up using next year.

Be sure to add your two envelops. One to the inside of the front cover and one on the inside of the back cover. They always come in so handy! One keeps your receipts all in one place and the other keeps your coupons from getting lost. I don’t really have a lot of paper coupons anymore, but there always seems to be a couple.

The part that is probably the most time consuming for us is deciding what we want written on our tabs. Haha. This year I went with Cards, The List, Movies, To-Do and menu. You may want to use Calendar, Recipes, Bake, Make, Activities or whatever works best for you!

To attach the tabs we just gather 4-5 sheets of paper together and staple them on. Then skip a section of papers and then staple the next one. Use as many or as few tabs as you’d like.

One other thing you can do is add a calendar. In years past I’ve printed off the Weekly Calendars from HERE. Then just trim it and use your glue dots to attach to the pages. If you’d like to see how it looks peek at this Christmas planner  HERE.

That’s all there is to it in making your own Composition Book Christmas Planner. Gather some friends and family and make it a party. Or turn on your favorite Christmas movie and make yourself some hot cocoa. I hope they become a favorite Christmas tradition for you too!

These tags are fun in black and white, making them super easy just to print at home.

Then brighten someone’s day by dropping of a Halloween surprise.

They would also make fun Halloween party favors! Send your guests home with a treat that they can enjoy later.

Are you a puzzle lover? We are in our house and let me tell you, we’ve done a lot of puzzles this year! If you have to be home more than usual, it’s nice to have something to keep you busy and that you enjoy.

Puzzles are a Christmas tradition for us. We have a small collection that I pull down and then we put them back in the closet one by one after we’ve put them together. I’m excited to add a few of these to our stash, hope you find one that you like too.

We couldn’t let a year pass without making our Christmas Planners! It’s how we officially kick off the holiday season. We’ve been making these since before we even started blogging. (probably about 13 years now)

We also love hearing from so many of you that have been making planners for years and have been waiting patiently for this years printables. So happy to be sharing them with you today!

I think I say this every year, but I’m in love with the papers that we used! And Jamie designed the cutest tags and printables. I don’t know how, but she’s managed to make them cuter every single year.

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own Christmas Planner:

• 2020 Christmas Planner Printables
• Composition Notebook
• 12×12 Christmas Scrapbook Paper – this year we used the adorable Hey Santa line by Crate Paper. (This is a link to amazon for a closer look. You probably won’t want to order it from here though.)
• Cardstock
• 6×9 White Envelopes
• Glue Dots
• Paper Trimmer and/or Scissors
• Stapler
• Pencil
• We also used two punches: A 3″ circle and a 3.5″ scallop circle. You could cut them out by hand, or use a cutting machine if you have one.

Each year we make our planners just a little different. There’s definitely no right or wrong way to do it. Just pick two of your favorite coordinating papers and go to town. You can find some simple instructions HERE and HERE. There’s also THIS set of printables that doesn’t have a year on them in case you are looking for another option.

Don’t forget to add your Receipt and Coupon envelopes inside the front and back covers. It’s so nice to have one place to keep these papers. You’ll know right where to find them!

It’s been a year like no other and Santa has asked all elves to Quarantine. Better safe than sorry, right? Plus the kids will be so excited to have their elf show up a little earlier than usual!

2020 has been hard on so many of us. I’m so ready to create some magical memories for my kids. Silly little things like this are so easy to put together and mean so much to them. I say bring on Elf Season!!

Depending on when your elf usually arrives to your house and how much time you want your elf to quarantine for. There’s a printable for 14 days or 7 days.

Elf On The Shelf Quarantine

We used a wide mouth mason jar and spray painted the lid black. Then we just printed off the Countdown that we wanted to use. Will it be 14 days or 7 days for you? Once you have your countdown printed, trim the side. Fold it in half (like a tent) and trim the bottom.

We used:

• Wide Mouth Mason Jar
• Black Spray Paint
• 14 day Elf Quarantine
• 7 day Elf Quarantine
• Sharpie

Let the kids cross off the days until their elf can be out and about. Keeping watch over them and reporting to Santa. Isn’t it so nice that we are in those magical months of the year. I’ve really been looking forward to this most wonderful time of the year!

These cute little diy Christmas planners are probably my most favorite project every year. I love getting together with family and kicking off the holiday season by making them. It feels official now. The holiday celebrations can begin.

Here’s the supply list for this years Christmas Planner:

• Composition Notebook
• 12×12 inch Christmas Scrapbook Paper – this year we used the adorable My Minds Eye, Holly Jolly collection.
• Cardstock
• 6×9 White Envelopes
• Ultra Fine Black Sharpie
• Glue Dots
• Paper Trimmer and Scissors
• Pencil
• Stapler and Staples
• 2019 Christmas Planner Printables
• We also used two punches this year. A 3 inch circle punch and a 3.5 inch scallop circle punch.

There’s no right or wrong way to make your planner. Just do what you like and what works best for you. We always start with our favorite sheet of 12×12 Christmas paper and cut it in half so we can use it on the front and the back. You do have to decide which way you want your paper to go first so you can cut your paper in the right direction. Here are some simple instructions you can check out HERE and HERE.

Don’t forget your envelopes. They are the perfect place to store your receipts and coupons. No more searching high and low for those things. I always like to back my envelopes because most composition notebooks have writing on the inside of the covers. So I just back the envelopes with some cardstock and it hides all that. Then we usually add a strip of fun paper behind the printable tags.

Next up are your tabs. We usually add calendar, the list, to-do, menu and cards. But there are so many different things you can use them for. How about Movies? Where you can write down all your favorite movies you want to watch. Or Christmas Activities you want to do. You can totally customize them for your needs.

To attach them we just gather 4-5 sheets of paper together and staple them on. Then skip a section of papers and then staple the next one. Use as many or as little tabs as you’d like.

We used a circle punch to cut out our tags this year and then added a scalloped circle that we also punched out of cardstock. Makes it super easy to put together. If you don’t have punches leave them as a square and back them in cardstock if you’d like. They look super cute like that too.
