No matter how many posters we come across or read reviews by best of critics, we always come back to YouTube.

Similarly, when we are about to download an application on our smartphone, the best we can do is check out the screenshots, read the description, and read reviews by those who've already downloaded it. Now, wouldn't it make sense to simply check out a video to see what the app is all about?

I am sure a lot of mobile application developers would love to have a platform where they can interactively describe the app created by them.

A start-up called Vungle is here to bring such a platform to mobile app developers. "Vungle addresses one of the major marketing problems facing mobile application developers and customers alike: discovering how the app really works before you download." shares Vungle's press release.

The Importance of Fanatical Support for a Company's Marketing and Branding Efforts

This is a Guest Post by Lindsey from ProfessionalIntern.com.

Competition in the marketplace -- for nearly any product or service -- is fierce in the modern world. Finding just the right niche can make or break a company brimming with potential.

Large companies, particularly those in ecommerce, are coming to terms with this reality, as far as the premium placed on customer service, in terms of reaching a virtual customer in a way that simulates a real life experience.

Regardless of how attached we are to our virtual world, customer want to feel humanized while making transactions.

How to Not Be Suspended on Adwords for a Bridge Page

This is a guest post by Nickolay Lamm who is an internet marketing specialist who manages the Consumer Fraud Watch blog and Consumer Fraud Warning.

Although a lead capture page and corresponding Adwords traffic can be an effective marketing tool, internet entrepreneurs are having a harder time getting their page approved because of its bridge page policy:

Google AdWords doesn't allow ads that promote bridge pages. A bridge page, also known as a doorway page, is a web page created for the main purpose of sending visitors to a different site.

Bridge pages offer little or no unique content and are considered low value to users. Affiliates that display the same characteristics may also be considered bridge pages. Bridge pages can also be sites that drive traffic from AdWords-compliant content to non-compliant content.

Artist Of The Week: Mary Ellen Croteau - Artist, Social Activist and Feminist

We have featured Mary Ellen Croteau's self portrait work on our blog earlier. But she is a much more versatile artist and uses a variety of mediums for her artwork; she has used stuff like oil on canvas, sketches, photography to even stuff like plastic bottle caps and discarded polyethylene bags.

She likes to call herself a political artist because she feels that her 'art is a mirror for the beholder to reflect on, on all the social issues surrounding us, stuff that is conveniently swept under the carpet by all of us - being in a state of denial as to any wrong even existing around us, just so that we can have a status-quo in our lives.'

Her art aims to fight social issues like injustice towards women, physical assault/abuse of women, preconceived notions of women's sexuality and issues like the rampant unbridled use of plastics in our life without even considering for a moment the amount of environmental harm that it would cause in the long term. For example her work with discarded plastic bags was undertaken to reflect the harm that they can do to the environment; one of the pieces in this series is made from discarded plastic bags collected over a 7 month period and braided into a rope titled - "A Measure of Consumption: 225 days, 68 meters".

Laughing Stone: Playful Stone Sculptures by Hirotoshi Ito

I've come across many artistic stone sculptures, created in the most intricate manner, but rarely does one come across stone art with a sense of humor.

Hirotoshi Ito, is a unique stone sculptor who runs a family business by the day and creates art by the night. Initially Hirotoshi was drawn towards metal work, but with time he discovered that stone sculpting satisfies the artist within him.

His 'Laughing Stone' sculptures may seem to be a little creepy initially, but you won't be able to hold back that smile on your face.

"ITO Hirotoshi continues to find new and original ways to create sculptures that people would touch and feel the unexpected softness and the warmth of them. He would be honored if his work would add laughs and smiles to people who come in contact with them." describes his profile page on Keiko Gallery. But try doing this to your favorite movies; take a character from one movie or sitcom and try mixing it with any other. Sounds weird, doesn't it?

Imagine Marge Simpson from The Simpsons replaces Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction. What would the movie be called? Pulp Simpson!

The internet is flooded with such Movie Poster Remakes and each one of them as hilarious as the other. I'm myself a big movie buff and I really don't mind these remakes. In fact, I would love to share with you some of my favourites.

Happy Viewing!

Pinsanity: Hilarious Parody for all the 'Pin' Addicts Our There

If you reached a stage where everything you see starts becoming 'pin worthy' (even in real-life), then you should consider yourself to be a Pinterest-addict.

And you should definitely check out his parody created by Comediva and The Blush, that hilariously portrays a girls' addiction to pinning in real-life...quite literally.

Have a look:

Graceful Drinking Straw Sculptures by Sang Sik Hong

A little while ago, we'd shared an interesting lamp with you, that was created out of 1,100 drinking straws. Here's another creative example of creating art using basic material like drinking straws by Korean artist, Sang Sik Hong.

His large-scale sculptures that are made using thousands of straws focus on human desires such as, power and sex.

"Although every one desires power, only a few of people can have it. Power is the symbol of strength and the object for one’s wish since it accompanies many interests. Power is strong, scarce and heading toward eternity. However, the straw, contrary to the properties of power, is a weak structure, easily available to anyone for it is produced on a large scale and a disposable material." believes the artist.
