Having a cargo trailer is one issue but another issue is how the trailer is loaded.</p><p>Riding motorcycles is a very accelerating experience that is best shared with friends and family. But trying to take possessions on a bike was a problem. The solution emerged in the form of motorcycle cargo trailers. These are bolted on carts that are able to carry numerous items. This has been a great advancement because at one time it was only possible to carry things on your back in a backpack or on the motorcycle as a lap or gas tank pack. They could not hold a lot because they could weight down the motorcycle in curves making the bike unstable.</p><p>Loading cargo trailers with small items is not a problem. You will not see or feel an issue with having these items in the trailer. The concern happens when loading these trailers with a large amount of items. It is important to load these trailers in a way that the weight is distributed. Keep enough of the weight forward of the axle center point, this change will maintain a positive hitch load. Too much of a load on the rear of the cargo container will create a pull on the hitch at all points. Continuous pull on the hitch is a very negative event. Most hitches are rated to only support a load of about 20 to 30 pounds. With the continuous upward force the hitch may fail. Compensate by working to have only 5 to 10 pound hitch load at the coupler. Also, try to keep loads from shift during normal acceleration and braking. Well, unfortunately he won't be able to fix the hyperdrive on your spaceship-- but that's only because you don't have a spaceship, do you? What R2D2 can do is listen and respond to voice commands, serve you, and entertain you! Just like George Lucas' Artoo unit, my home version uses real sonar to navigate around the house! He obeys commands, beeps and whistles, flashes his lights and swivels his head. He even has an extending arm for serving drinks!</p><p>I'm sure you have a million questions going through your head, so let's review them.</p><p><b>Q. Does R2-D2 need batteries?</b></p><p>A. Yes. Go through the entire mattress subsequently. Well, as a professional organizer and mother of four teenage girls, I have a few tools to help you get your teenage girls get organized.</p><p>Let me encourage you by reminding you that learning any skill takes repetition, reward and coaching. I also have a small word of warning-if you have a rocky relationship with your teenage girl, this could become a bit of a power struggle. You don't want to come between her clutter and emotions. May I suggest that you do a little research and determine what "organizational type" your daughter is. Organizing for Your Brain Type, by Lana Nakone is a valuable resource that will help you decide whether your teenage girl is a people person, innovator, maintainer or prioritizer. Knowing how she needs to organize may reduce your struggles in the Teen-Girl Zone! What is the most fun schedule to get organized? Get in the Zone!</p><p>In the Zone</p><p>When you help a teenage girl organize her space, start with a few questions:</p><p>1. What do you love about your room? <br>2. What do you dislike about your room? <br>3. What things are in the right place that you definitely don't want to move? <br>4. What do you do in your room? (Sleep, dress, read, homework, etc.) <br>5. Do you like the color and general arrangement of your room?</p><p>Knowing the answers to these questions helps get you in the zone and guides the organizational process, helping you see how you can avoid struggle. These questions also give you an opportunity to uncover possible areas for incentive. Would your daughter enjoy new bedding or painting her room? Perhaps you can offer those as rewards to her when she has organized her room and maintained it for one month.</p><p>Prepared with the right information, you will have success in the zone.</p><p>Zoning</p><p>To a local government, zoning means determining how an area is to be used or developed-that's the kind of zoning you are going to help your teenage girl with. You know what zoning means to the average teenager! It's your job to help your teenage girl use these organizing tools to transform teenage zoning to space-use zoning.</p><p>Zone One-The Sleep Zone</p><p>It may seem obvious, but your daughter will be sleeping in the sleep zone, which includes the area immediately around your daughter's bed. You should ask her what she needs to get a good night's sleep. Make a list of those items and make sure that those items are in her sleep zone.</p><p>Some items to consider in the sleep zone are: the bed, pillows, blankets, an alarm clock, and nightstand. Depending on your daughter's habits, she may need a good lamp on her nightstand for reading; reading material; tissues; a water glass; paper and pencil; and chap stick. If there is no room for a nightstand, consider providing your daughter with a basket that can hold the things she needs that can be stowed under the bed or on a nearby shelf. A floor lamp or a lamp that can be clamped to her headboard may be good alternatives for lighting.</p><p>Here's a tip that can instantly make your daughter's room look orderly: have her make her bed every day. If this is a habit she has never developed, you could offer to buy her new bedding if she consistently makes it every day for a set period of them - one month is usually long enough to establish a new habit.</p><p>The last area to work on in the sleep zone is the space under the bed. Pull every thing out that may be lurking there. Sort through what needs to be kept in the sleep zone, what needs to be stored elsewhere, and what can be thrown away. My girls store bulky items like sleeping bags, overnight bags, and folding chairs under the bed.</p><p>Zone Two-The Clothes Zone</p><p>The Clothes Zone will probably take the most time of any zone in your teen girl's room to organize. Make sure you have time to complete this project in one session; it could take up to three hours to organize, depending on how many clothes your teen has. You will need storage boxes or bags and cleaning supplies.</p><p>I have created a process to help you get your teenage girl's clothes organized. Here are my seven steps to Clothes Zone Heaven!</p><p>Step One: Take all of her clothes out of her closet and dresser drawers and create categorized piles.</p><p>Pile 1-This season's clothes, shoes and accessories that you are wearing now. Keep only clothes that fit and that you like and use.</p><p>Pile 2-Out-of-season clothes, shoes and accessories that you are sure will fit next year and that you like and will continue to use/wear.</p><p>Pile 3-All clothes, shoes and accessories that are too small, you don't like, are stained or are beyond repair. (Bag up items to pass on to a sibling or friend. Or, you may want to take usable items to a consignment store or charity. Throw away everything that's in unusable condition!)</p><p>Step Two: Take out all games, memorabilia, toys and stuff. Decide what you will keep and what can be given away. Anything in poor repair or missing pieces should be thrown away.</p><p>Step Three: Clean the closets and drawers thoroughly while they are empty. Wipe down walls and shelves, and then vacuum the floor and cobwebs along the ceiling.</p><p>Step Four: Place this season's clothes, shoes and accessories back into the closet or dresser drawers. Hang or fold all clothes neatly. Make sure that jackets are buttoned or zipped. Group clothes by category: pants; shirts; skirts; and dresses together. Hang belts on hooks or hangers. Consider a shoe organizer, if your teen-girl has lots of shoes.</p><p>Step Five: Place off-season clothes, shoes and accessories in a clear plastic bin and store under the bed or in the attic. If your closet is big enough, you may store your office season clothes and other items in the back of your closet.</p><p>Step Six: Place all games, toys and memorabilia back in your closet on a shelf or easy to see place. If memorabilia is worth keeping, it is worth keeping well, so make sure that your teen has an appropriately sized box to store all items neatly. You will also want to take this time to help your daughter consider what items are truly worth saving and which things she might let go.</p><p>Step Seven: Now that all of your teen-girl's clothing and other belongings are neatly organized you can easily see what items she may need. Make a list and plan to purchase and replace needed items.</p><p>Now that you have completed the seven steps to Clothes Zone Heaven all your teen girl needs to do is maintain the new order. I have found that it goes well when my daughters take a few moments each week to make sure that they are keeping things stored properly. Remind your daughter to give you items that they try on and no longer fit or that become stained or otherwise un-wearable. Dealing with items as they fall out of use is easier than working through an entire closet. Also, encourage her to immediately put clothes away that she decides not to wear. It takes seconds to hang up one outfit. It can take 15 minutes or more to sort through and put away a pile of clothes!</p><p>Finally, you will want to make plans to revisit the Clothes Zone each season to repeat all seven steps.</p><p>Zone Three-The Study Zone</p><p>Zone Three is really a matter of preference. You need to consider where your daughter usually does her homework. If she most often does her homework in her room, not the kitchen table or sitting in the bonus room, then she needs a homework zone established in her room.</p><p>If she prefers sitting at desk, then have her sit down at her desk and think through all the supplies that she needs while she is working there. Ask her what she uses every day or weekly. When I am working with a client, I give items that receive regular use what I call prime real estate. Anything not related to the tasks your daughter does sitting at the desk, do not get to stay there. Keepsakes and memorabilia must be "containerized" and stored elsewhere. If your daughter prefers to work sitting on her bed or the floor, maybe all she needs is a basket of supplies that she can pull out when she is working. Next, make sure her Homework Zone is well lighted and that she has a comfortable chair.</p><p>You will also want to make sure that this zone is well supplied, include: a calendar, clear sheet protectors, notebooks, note pads, as well as pencils and pens with a carrying case.</p><p>Zoned Out</p><p>Now that you have worked through the three main zones of your daughter's room, you will almost always have items that don't fit into any of the zones. You may place these in a bin and go through them to consider whether you will keep them. Here's the test. Ask whether the item is used daily or weekly. If it is used that often, then it can stay.</p><p>With memorabilia and other items left, ask:</p><p>- Do you want to display the item-- Should the item be stored or placed in a container to keep it in good condition-- Do you want to place the item in a scrapbook or photo album-- Is there someone with whom you can share the item-</p><p>With collections ask:</p><p>- On a scale from one to ten, how much do you love this collection-- Do you need the entire collection or just a few favorites-- If the collection is important to you, are you keeping it well and where it can be enjoyed-If you both decide that a collection will be kept, assign it a shelf or container. When the space is full, attempt to purge the collection to make room for new items.</p><p>A final word of encouragement-if your daughter (or you!) struggle to let things go, try storing an item for six months. Agree that the item will be given or thrown away, if your daughter has not asked for it during that time. Remember this is a life skill! The Mini Moto comes equipped with either a two stroke air or water cooled engine which are, depending on the model, capable of speeds of up to 60Mph.</p><p>In this article I will underline the finer points of the components that make these speeds possible.</p><p>The two Stroke Engine</p><p>The two stroke engine produces more hp per pound than the four stroke engine. The two stroke engine consists of three moving parts, the piston, the rod and the crank. The piston acts as valve that opens and closes the intake and exhaust ports that are located on the walls of the cylinder. Unlike the four stroke engine that fires only every other time of the pistons movement, the two stoke engine fires every time the piston reaches the top of its travel. This means that the time spent generating power is doubled in the two stroke engine than that of the four stroke engine, as there is no engine coasting during passive cycles. This is the main reason that the two stroke engine can rev more highly and produce more power (for its size) that the four stroke.</p><p>Fuel</p><p>The two stroke engine needs to be run on a mixture of petrol and two stroke oil. This is so that the engine is kept lubricated whilst in use.</p><p>99% of all starting problems are caused by fuel problems. These can stem from bad or old fuel and improperly mixed fuel (please see mixing chart). <br>Do not use fuels that contain alcohol, as the can cause you bike to run 'lean'. Be advised some racing fuels contain alcohol and are best avoided.. <br>We recommend that you use normal petrol for a garage and a quality two stroke oil.</p><p>A mixture that is too lean I.e not enough two stroke oil can damage your mini moto's engine as the moving parts are not properly lubricated. This can cause the engine to seize. However a mixture that is too rich can choke the engine and effect the performance and cause starting problems. You can tell if your mini moto is running too richly by the plumes of white smoke coming out of the exhaust and the lack of performance. A rich mixture (25:1) is needed to lubricate the engine during the 'run in' period, you may experience a lack of performance during this period. The pocket bike may run more slowly and acceleration can be sluggish, however when you change to a mixture of 50:1 you will really notice a difference. The leaner mix ignites in the combustion chamber faster and with a more explosive force than the richer mix. This means higher revs which means more power and acceleration.</p><p>We recommend that a fuel mixture of 25:1 is used to 'run in' you mini moto, and a mixture of 50:1 is used thereafter.</p><p>'Running in'</p><p>Your mini moto should be 'run in' for the first 3-4 tanks of fuel. During this period we recommend that you use a fuel mixture of 25:1. This means a mixture that is made up of 25 parts petrol to 1 part of two stroke oil. During the 'running in' period be careful to not rev the engine to its maximum as this can damage the engine. The 'running in' period will allow the moving parts to become well oiled and the clutch and brakes to 'bed' themselves in. After you have run the minimoto on this fuel mixture for 3-4 tanks, check the chain and tighten accordingly, check the tyre pressure, tighten the bolts on the brakes, forks and wheels. You may also need to readjust the throttle settings to allow for the higher revs that changing to a leaner fuel mix produces. The bike should now be ready for a fuel mixture of 50:1.</p><p>Clutch</p><p>The mini moto uses a centrifugal clutch to power the drive the sprocket, which in turn drives the back wheel of your mini moto.</p><p>When you start your mini moto the clutch spins as the engine ticks over . The clutch is engaged when you pull back on the throttle. The increase in speed of revolution of the clutch makes the clutch expand and grip the inside of the clutch bell which turns the sprocket that drives the back wheel of your pocket bike.</p><p>The clutch can be set up in different ways depending on the type of performance that you want from your minimoto. Adjustable clutches are not standard on mini moto's but an after market Polani or Blata style adjustable clutch can be used in your new mini moto. These allow the rider to adjust the mini moto's set up in according to their preference. Setting the clutch to engage too late when the engine has built up too much power may cause the clutch to slip and never fully engage. This can result in excessive wearing. However setting the clutch to engage too early, before the power has built up in the engine can cause your pocket bike to 'bog down', resulting in slow acceleration. The perfect set up is to get the clutch to engage just as the engine has built enough power to rocket the mini moto away, but without making the clutch slip, this is achievable through trial and error.</p><p>Spark Plug</p><p>Making sure that your spark plug is fresh is important in a two stroke mini moto engine. You can tell a lot from the colour of the spark plug. The top part of your spark plug is covered in ceramic insulator which, when brand new is white. This part of the spark plug can change colour according to how your engine is running. The plug should appear as a nice tan colour when the engine is running perfectly, this indicates complete combustion. A greyish or white colour indicates that the engine is running too lean which can result in engine damage. In this case you should clean and check your fuel system for any obstruction, check your fuel mixture, check for loose intake manifold bolts and carburettor mounting leeks, faulty gaskets and leaking crank seals. Anywhere that your engine could potentially leek and suck in fresh air can be the source of a lean condition.</p><p>A blackened or oily spark plug indicates improper combustion and is the result of running too rich. This can be caused by too much oil in the mixture or the spark plug could be faulty and misfiring. Check the fuel mixture and replace the spark plug.</p><p>Air Filter</p><p>Your new mini moto is equipped with an air filter. Some bikes such as the B1 Origami rep liquid cooled and the Mini Dirt bike have a 'cone' style K and N style air filter. The 2005 mk2 mini moto and the B1 Origami Replica air cooled bikes have a standard mini moto air filter. Both air filters purify the intake of air that is sucked into the carburettor. This means that the air filter should be cleaned regularly as the mini moto's performance can begin to suffer as the engine can become starved of air if the air filter is choked with debris. To reach the air filter, remove the bikes bottom fairing, remove the protective cover by unscrewing the holding screws. Clean the air filter in petrol but make sure that the filter is dry before reattaching to you mini moto.</p><p>Tyres</p><p>The tyres on your mini moto are filled with air (pneumatic). Please consult your mini moto handbook for the appropriate psi. It is important to check the tyre pressure regularly, an under inflated tyre will affect the performance of your mini moto, acceleration can become sluggish and cornering can become dangerous.</p><p>Chain</p><p>Before riding your mini moto you need to make sure that the front and back sprockets are aligned and that the chain is perfectly straight running between them. Once you have established this make sure that the chain is tensioned correctly (please see your mini moto handbook). To test the tension of the chain you can manually push the pocket bike, if you hear a 'pinging' or 'popping' sound the chain is too loose. If the chain is noisy and starts to bind the chain is too tight. <br>Make sure that the chain is well oiled. The chain needs to be oiled before every ride.</p><p>Gearing</p><p>The gearing of you mini moto is dictated by the number of the teeth on the front sprocket and on the back sprocket. The sprockets can be changed as an easy way to manipulate top end speed and acceleration, quite like changing gear on a mountain bike. A front sprocket with more teeth will improve acceleration, however the top end speed will be reduced. A larger rear sprocket will produce a higher top speed but acceleration will suffer. The gearing on your bike can be adjusted in accordance for the track you are intending to ride I.e. a small track with a lot of bends will suit gearing for improved acceleration, however a track with long straights will require a mini moto that is geared for a higher top speed.</p><p>Throttle</p><p>The throttle on your new mini moto is a 'twist grip' style throttle. When you twist the throttle the throttle cable is pulled back revving the engine. It is important to keep this cable free from obstacles and clean. If the throttle begins to feel 'loose' of 'gives', the tension of the cable can be adjusted via the adjusting screw.</p><p>Brakes</p><p>The brake system comprises of brake levers, brake cables, brake callipers and brake discs.</p><p>The brakes on your mini moto are operated by levers found on the handle bars. The right hand brake controls the front brake, and the left controls the back brake. Pulling on the handle pulls the brake cable which in turn pulls the lever located on the bake calliper. This action pushes the brake discs towards each other. This creates friction on the brake disc which slows down or stops the bike.</p><p>The brakes can be adjusted in the following ways.</p><p>The brake cable can be tensioned using the adjustment screw found on the brake lever. Unscrew the locking nut, twist the screw to reach the desired tension. Re screw the locking nut.</p><p>This is a two person job. Adjust the screw on the hand brake so that is at the end of its travel. Undo the clamp that holds the brake cable on the lever located on the brake calliper. One person needs to push the lever forward as far as it will, the second person needs to pull back on the brake cable and re fasten the clamp. The crake cable will now be highly tensioned.</p><p>Pull Start</p><p>To start the mini moto pull slowly to turn the fly wheel. This pumps some fuel around the engine, which lubricates the moving parts. Pull the pull start firmly in order to start the engine. Important, do not pull the cord to the end of its run as it can break. If the mini moto does not start check the choke and the throttle cable.</p><p>Choke</p><p>The choke controls the amount of air that is allowed into the air/fuel mix. The choke is adjusted via a lever located on the side and back of the engine. The choke is off when the lever is down, and on when the lever is up. <br>When you start the mini moto the choke should be on, when the mini moto is warm and ready to ride the choke needs to be off.</p><p>Carburettor</p><p>It is recommend that any adjustments to the carburettor are made by a professional. The carburettor pumps and mixes the fuel and air. The small diaphragms, orifices and ports mix the air and fuel very precisely, this process demands clean fresh fuel.</p><p>Jet</p><p>The jet can be adjusted by the screw located in the access hole to the right of the choke lever. The jet is adjusted by the manufacture however the conditions of where you wish to ride may be different, which means that you will need to make adjustments. Turning the screw clockwise will make the bike run with a leaner mixture, and counter clockwise will richen the mixture. Only adjust the screw 1 tern a at time and then test the mini moto, this is trail and error.
