The interview is led by Alycia Grace, who was part of the EF Radio On-Air Extraordinaire Plug In program that year.

Inside the iconic red phone booth, you’re given the opportunity to share a memory of your own or listen to a message someone before you recorded.

John and his wife Jessica were inspired to create the interactive piece based on research findings that building, storing, and retrieving happy memories can boost feelings of positivity and happiness, and even fight depression.

Their idea became reality as recipients of the Plug In Program’s Art Installation Sponsorship, which provides resources and support to artists of all levels.

We do so by together building a physical wall filled with an artistic representation of those intentions, and then collectively dismantling it at the end of the weekend to leave our barriers behind.
