I’m still tired!!

The Leader tent were we all were is still a little out of the way and hard to find, but still good crowds found us!  Lovely to see some old faces and some very old faces that I haven’t seen in over 30 years!!!  ( Since I was 1 year old!!  I wish!!!!)

Hi Catherine, how are you, and Lucy, it was brilliant to see you too after so long!!  You haven’t changed a bit!!    Ann you are an angel, still beautifully curly dark hair!  And Denise!  So full of life!!  I have those gold pieces almost finished!

Yes, I enjoyed myself!!   I stayed with some lovely cousins of Davids who made me soooooo welcome!!     Thank you  Hazel + Thomas + boys!!Where's all the jewellery gone?Always the last to leave!!

It was a great festival, the weather was fine, the crafts were fabulous and the entertainment was top class.

There were a lot of interesting people. I met a couple who loved my children of lir jewellery so much that the husband got a gold children of lir ring as his wedding band.  Then, while on honeymoon, he had the design tatooed around his ankle! Amazing!

Enda (Taoiseach) stopped by to say hello, his wife Finola has my 3 children of lir pendant, as they have 3 children, and loves it!

Tall Ships Race

The Tall Ships Race is set to be the biggest event in Ireland in 2011 with over 50 majestic Tall Ships, 1,500 sail trainees and an anticipated 500,000 maritime, music and festival fans on the quays of Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city.

The festival will take place from Thursday-Sunday, June 30-July 3, 2011 and will include a wide range of events and activities including the very best of Irish and international acts, street theatre, fireworks, craft, music and food.

The craft presence is a new addition to the event and will include an exciting market area just off the quays, in the heart of the festival area, as well as demonstrations and workshops.

The Crafts Council of Ireland’s objective is to raise the awareness of craft by offering consumers the chance to see it, feel it, engage with it and purchase it – and hopefully develop a life long affinity for craft in all its forms.

Children of Lir 3 swan piece, as a pendant or a brooch.

My work has been picked to be part of a small group of Irish crafts, showcased at the The Interior Design and Art Fair 2011, which I’m thrilled to take part in. The Fair will take place this weekend from 13th to 15th of  May at RDS, Dublin.
