Our first theme is Skyye News, and I think you’re gonna love this puppy.

It features a very nice magazine-style homepage, tons of features, and a pretty slick looking design, courtesy of nomad-one.com.

Coming Soon

As you can see on our homepage, we’ve got two themes coming very soon.  The first, Altitude, is about 50% finished.  Although this one will be a bit simpler than Skyye News, it will still offer the great features that you’ll become accustomed to over time :-)

Also, thanks to Antonio at woork.blogspot.com, we’ll be releasing his previous blog design as a free WordPress theme after Altitude is released.  Yes, it will be another news/magazine style theme, but the design is so slick, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

Finally, I’m pretty excited to say that I’ll be working on one of the most killer photoblog themes you’ve ever used! Taking full advantage of the Media Gallery feature for WordPress, your WordPress blog can now be THE solution for hosting all your images.  I can’t wait!!!

Skyye News Theme

Skyye News Theme will be released as a beta due to it’s complexities. We’ll be asking users for feedback on bugs and feature additions.  It’ll be perfect for people wanting to incorporate a more news/magazine style on their blogs, rather than the traditional, reverse-chronological look that you might be used to on a blog.

It will feature an “intelligent” homepage that will never show the same story twice.  But the technology running the homepage will be our advanced Theme Options panel.  Homepage construction, SEO, analytics code, custom feed URL will be available for you control freaks out there. :-) We’ve also tried to make this theme compatible with both WordPress 2.5/2.6, as well as the soon to be release 2.7, including that cool new threaded comments feature.

Look for Skyye News 0.9beta at launch.

Altitude Blog Theme

If you’ve ever visited MSNBC’s AlphaChannel Blog, you’ll see where the inspiration for this theme came from.  A friend of mine asked me recently if any free or paid themes featured the same title/post/sidebar configuration of the AlphaChannel Blog.  I couldn’t think of or find any, so I decided to build it myself and release it for free here at ElevateThemes.com.

Altitude is nearing completetion and will be available soon after launch.

Another News Theme

Thanks to the generosity of Antonio Lupetti of The Daily Inspired, I have been given permission to convert his Blogger template into a free WordPress theme.

And this theme will feature all the ease of any of the other themes that will be released here on ElevateThemes.com.

Photo Theme

Ever since WordPress 2.5 was released, I’ve wanted to explore the possibilities that the Media Gallery feature could offer.  And that’s what I plan to do with the first Photo theme here at Elevate.  No more messing with custom fields.  This theme will be driven 100% by the built-in, WordPress 2.5+ Media Gallery feature.  I can’t give you too many more details, as the theme is still in the planning stages, but needless to say, it’s going to be awesome!

The Photo theme will be available sometime in November or December.
