Great Jazz and acoustic music to be expected!

Founders Hall is only minutes away from you all at Elizabeth Square, why not check out the Friday Acoustic series during your lunch break?

Starting tomorrow every Friday from noon to 2 p.m. until October 29th, you can enjoy tunes from the area’s finest jazz and acoustic artists. Performances are free and open to the public. Sounds like a great way to get out of the office for a bit, I mean it is Friday, we’re all excited for the weekend and it’s especially hard on Fridays to be in the office all day.

While your over there, check out the skywalks that just opened. The skywalks converge into a magnificent, six-story atrium called the Urban Garden, complete with granite floors, trees and high-end finishes.

If you’re still driving a gas guzzler, then it’s time to re-think your situation.

Now, more than ever, we are cognizant of the fact that our actions have a direct impact on the environment, meaning we must make conscious decisions to make our effect as minimal as possible. The way we get from point A to point B is one way we can decrease our carbon footprint by choosing alternative means of transportation. Here are a few that are available to you:

• Public Transportation: There are plenty of ways to get around Charlotte without a car of your own!
• Hybrid / Smart Cars: Car manufacturers are finally coming around to the idea that we need better, lower impact vehicles. These two types of vehicles provide you with all the convenience of your traditional car, and have the ability to get much better gas mileage.
