Sessions are booked in 1 hour blocks (30 minutes for prep, 30 minutes for shooting). Locations will be revealed during booking for privacy reasons. For just $75 you’ll receive 20 fully edited images picked by the photographer in a password-protected gallery to order prints and products. Add a “little black book” (5.75 x 7.25 linen, soft pages) or “bombshell album” (8 x8 linen, hard pages in red, black, pink or white) at any time for an additional fee. Orders must be in by Jan. 28th to guarantee arrival by Valentine’s Day. Must pay in full to reserve your spot. Model release discount applies to session fee only. It’s snowing on the blog, I’m not editing photos, I’m eating way too much food, avoiding the gym, chugging some adult spirits, handing out gifts to everyone I know…and doing it all while wearing lots of sequins. That can only mean one thing. It must be Christmas!

I wanted to take a quick moment before the craziness of the holidays hits its peak and thank each and every one of my clients for my fabulous year. Because you took a chance to trust and support this new photographer, I will be able to pursue this passion of mine full-time beginning mid-January! I’m forever grateful to my 2011 clients. I love you all to pieces! Be on the lookout for a little gift from Elle Golden Photography sometime in early January as a token of my appreciation (the holiday shipping fiasco has delayed a part needed to assemble your gifts).

So, I may or may not have left you guys hanging since April with this next one. But I actually have a good reason for it! I withheld images from Tim and Christina’s engagement session because a handful of online publications wanted to feature them! But I’ll get to that in a minute…

I met Tim and Christina at Atlanta’s John Howell Memorial Park. We originally planned to meet at Piedmont Park, but after over 20 minutes of driving in circles, we couldn’t find a place to park. Their session took place on the first weekend of spring break which also happened to be a gorgeous, sunny-yet-mild day. Not finding a suitable parking spot was a blessing in disguise because we would have never gotten these intimate, Parisian-styled picnic shots otherwise!

I love all my clients, but Christina definitely has a stronghold on the “adorable” spot in my heart. She’s so stinkin’ cute!

Watching Tim and Christina together just brings a smile to my heart. They’re so in love a stranger could confirm it from a mile away. Tim adores Christina and he displays it through playful touching. He’s the type of guy who’ll softly move a flyaway strand of hair off his gal’s face. It’s so darn sweet!

Erich + Sarah | Wedding Rehearsal Dinner | Atlanta, GA Photographer

Wow. I sat down today and made a list of the manymanymany posts I need to blog. I’m rapidly finishing up my editing from my busy October, so I figured I’d take a moment between jobs and do a little blogging to chip away at the pile.

This one’s from waaaaay back in June. Sarah was one of my first clients and booked me for both her boudoir session and rehearsal dinner coverage. I’ll forever be grateful she allowed me to pretty much experiment on her and help me build my portfolio. By the time her sessions came around (I’m telling you, she hopped on board EARLY), I had honed my craft tenfold. I hope every day of my new career that clients consider me a good return on investment.

So anyhoo, I traveled up to Atlanta on a Friday to capture Erich and Sarah’s rehearsal and dinner at the Peachtree Christian Church and Georgian Terrance. These two locations are FABULOUS choices for wedding venues. Look for yourself!

Erich and Sarah very wisely booked a trolley to transport their guests from the hotel to their wedding church venue. Having all the attendants accounted for in rush hour Atlanta traffic is PRICELESS.

Once inside the church, I took a moment to stand in awe of the gorgeous architecture and stained glass mosaics. How gorgeous is this church?!

Soon, it was time for the toasts. Erich’s dad just about brought the roof down. I don’t even know their family and couldn’t help laughing like an idiot. I can only imagine how funny his speech was for everyone else!

Sarah’s sister served as maid of honor while Erich’s childhood friend was the best man.

That night was also Sarah’s father’s birthday, so Erich’s family made sure to arrange a special little tribute to him.

Guests ended the night with a gift bag from the couple. Erich’s family is German and makes their own beer, so everyone got a custom bottle. Does it get any more awesome than that?!

Mikey + Brittney | Engagement | Adel, GA Photographer

They met in high school. He was a senior and she was the cute freshman cheerleader. The cute freshman he couldn’t get out of his head. Once a year, he’d call her, asking her out each time. For THREE years. But not only did her parents forbid her to date, they would have also killed her for dating him based on the age difference alone.

By the time Brittney became a junior, she and her mother both decided it was time to give Mikey a chance. If only to finally make him stop calling.

So Brittney’s mother waited up the night of the first date to make sure her daughter made it home safely. But when Brittney finally arrived—declaring she’d just had the best night of her life—her mom was shocked. Brittney wasn’t supposed to like Mikey!

But Brittney did more than like Mikey. She fell in love with him. And next month, she’ll become his wife.

As for Mikey, he’s still not sure why he remained so persistant or patient. But he says Brittney was definitely worth the wait.

For their engagement photos, I met the happy couple at their home and we all drove to a nearby farm Mikey’s family owns. Their sweet bulldog, Bently joined in on the fun!

Brittney and I are almost ring twins! Hers is a princess cut, and mine is round, but the micropave bands are quite similar! Great job Mikey.

Tyler + Dana | Romantics | Savannah, GA Photographer

Remember Dana and Tyler’s adorably whimsical Savannah garden wedding? Well the day after they said “I do”, we all met up again for an early morning romantics session. Dana and Tyler never had a chance to schedule their engagement session from out of state, so I offered them a day-after session. It turned out to be perfect since we were all a sweaty mess on the wedding day! Ah, gotta love summer in Georgia!

I met the blissful newlyweds outside their host hotel, the Kehoe House, bright and early to take advantage of the beautiful light (and cooler temperatures).

We also made the short drive over to the iconic Forsyth Park to grab a few shots there as well. Before we left, I spotted a cool spot on the bench to get some quick ring shots since their rings were separated the whole day (except for that important part where they exchanged them during the ceremony!). Which one do you prefer? Color or B&W?

CHRISTOPHER + LAURA | BELLA SIGNATURE DESIGN EDITORIAL SHOOT PART II | WEDDING | LAS VEGAS, NV PHOTOGRAPHER

A couple days ago I shared Renae and Christopher’s part of the Bella Signature Design shoot. Today, it’s Laura’s turn to steam up the blog!

Before I get started, I have to share the amazing story of how this entire shoot came to be. A year ago, the fabulous Jasmine Star teamed up with the incredible folks at creativeLIVE to go where no photographer has gone before (Star Trek reference bonus points FTW!). Together, they hosted a live 5-day wedding photography event of epic proportions. Yes, you read that right. A wedding that streamed online LIVE for photographers like myself to learn from one of the best in the industry.*

Okay, so you’re thinking, “That’s cool. But what the heck does it have to do with this post?” Well, the wedding planner of the creativeLIVE wedding, Daniela Ferdico Faget (creative designer and owner of Bella Signature Design), organized and beautifully styled this session! She was inspired after with her involvement in the wedding starring bride and groom Laura Marchbanks and Billy Boucock. And the big kicker? Laura happened to be a photographer herself and happened to be one of the models at this photo shoot! So I’ve photographed the same person a top-10 wedding photographer photographed! Pretty cool, eh?

Anyhoo, back to the Bella shoot! Let’s start with some of the gorgeous props Daniela brought in to add that certain “je ne sais quoi” to really make this shoot so chic:

Laura wore her actual engagement ring and wedding day Jimmy Choos during the shoot. She also modeled another one of Daniela’s fabulous bouquet creations.

A small group of us broke away from the other photographers and “stole” Christopher and Laura for ourselves. We found this staircase with AH.MAZE.ING light and got to clicking. This was definitely my favorite part of the session. Our little group literally “clicked” so well together and we got some fantastic images.

I am so incredibly happy that I chose to participate in the Bella shoot. I can’t encourage photographers enough to take full advantage of their time in Vegas during WPPI by scheduling in a couple workshops. Besides all the beautiful images you’ll create, you’ll also meet your peers and develop some tremendous networking opportunities and friendships. I can’t wait for February to roll around so I can hang out with some of those photographers again!
