Got th this tip from a fellow blogger/musician. It’s a documentary about the entertainment industry today and all the changes it’s going through, and where it’s headed. Both depressing and inspiring! Kind of made me a bit teary eyed to think that in my lifetime the music industry has changed so much that I nolonger have to be signed to a major label in order to have my music heard around the world… All I need is my portable recording studio, an online marketing plan and a small budget, and the world is at my feet!
At the same time, now that everyone around the world has the same capabilities that I have, it will be more difficult to break through the noise and be able to sustain it. Should everyone really be allowed to be an artist if we’re all competing in the same forums?

So I’ve been receiving multiple reports that my song “Go Away” has been playing at various H&M stores around the globe… Sweden, London and Russia so far… This is awesome!! But I have no idea how it got there! Anyone work at an H&M who can tell me how they get their music? If it’s via Spotify or some kind of compilation CDs?

I’ve always been a fan of h&m growing up, and still am, but I can’t shop there anymore. The thought of finding a super cute outfit that thousands and maybe even millions of girls around the world also have… well it just doesn’t sit right with me. Indie-shopping is the way I do it <3

Today I’ve had a very laaaaazy day. I was gonna cure my boredom by downloading a movie or something but now I think I might be productive instead. I just realized I need to get “Miss Vamberly” mastered before it is released… Wops! My last single was mastered at Cuttingroom Studios. They did a good job for a fair price so I’ll probably go with them again. They’ve mastered tons of famous artists albums so even though I don’t have a trained ear in mastering, I can safely assume they know their shit

I’m finally starting to sleep better *knock on wood* which means I am finally getting around to preparing the release of my second single, “Miss Vamberly”! I’m beyond excited. Today I am writing up a press release and putting together a list of awesome music blogs that I think should have Miss Vamberly in their inbox. It’s a lot of work, owning your own label and being the boss. But oh so rewarding, when the reviews start coming in and you see the results of your hard work. The cover art is in the works, the song and the music video is all done – not many more days left now So stay t00ned!

A few weeks ago I discovered this AMAZING new website for indie fashion enthusiasts like myself, ustrendy.com . It’s like Senseofashion.com, but the latter is a bit more like etsy.com, and ustrendy is more like Asos.com. Yesterday I was perusing their selection of dresses and came across Kate Fearnley. Such adorable dresses! Minimalistic design & coloring just like I like it. I haveto buy one of these puppies but can’t decide which! Ahhh!

First night out in… 4 months??! I barely go out in Stockholm cuz I’m super picky with what kind of music I like to dance to and Stockholm dance music is usually too fast for my taste. I like to swing from side to side in a chill tempo, u know. So going out tonight was a really nice surprise, Adeline delivered a magical set and Curly was good as well… Or is, rather, I’m still at the party Had to take a breeak from all the dancing! It’s good to get ma groove back, life has been so off lately!
