Been reading about radar detectors for an article I'll be writing in a bit. And the things I've been reading have been interesting so far. Not all detectors are allowed in some states in the US so learning about them are really necessary for those who’ll be using them on their operations. It’s not illegal, though. They just do not allow them in some places for security reasons.

Car Air Filters

Those, I think, are what my father wanted for his birthday. His natal day's on August 11 and he's now in the middle of refurbishing our old, trusted owner-type jeep. I've never tried purchasing anything for our jeep online, but I might to not spoil the surprise. I Googled air filters and saw a couple of interesting results. I am currently browsing the products CaRiD.com, and read some interesting things about air filters. This essential part of a vehicle’s machine must be the one among those that are always maintained. Air filters consist of one big system that not only filter air, but oil and fuel as well. Clean air, oil and fuel are the crucial components that will determine a car’s performance. CaRiD.com has a wide range of air filter manufacturers one can find online. They cater to almost any car in the market. The web site’s user-friendly interface made searching for the right kind of filter for my father’s easily. Purchasing items had no hassles at all since the automobile parts online store accepts almost all modes of payments; from credit cards, secure cash payments, and wired payments. Plus they also have a toll fee, 24-hour customer service hotline at 800-505-3274.

Smitten

How Did This Happen?!

100 creative souls are following me now on Tumblr. I just had to share that. Going back to Tumblr, my blog there just turned one a couple of weeks ago and having a hundred people taking their time to visit your page and click the Follow badge is flattering. Been posting random things that I like on that blog since I am really writing more of my thoughts on this and my three other blogs.

But this is just amazing. I mean, wow. The dreaded questions of the doctors about your body and its condition. The doctor whom I've consulted with said something about weight loss products and how most of them are categorized under food supplements. Now, that I didn't know. I thought these products were under a different category, like cosmetic drugs or similar to that. She reminded me that I don't really need it since my weight is still on the average. I just need to watch my carbo intake from time to time. And man, is that game addicting or what?! For those of you who’s not familiar with the game and the whole social networking apps phenom, then Plans vs. Zombies may be new to your ear. It’s a game where you kill zombies to prevent them from entering your house and eating your brains. I got so hooked into it yesterday, I started around 12noon and stopped around 5pm. I even forgot that I am supposed to write something about acne scar removal that's due in a couple of hours because I was so in the game.

I forgot how many levels the game has, but strategy is the key to get rid of these nasty zombies and pass a level. I am currently in level 4-6 and I have tons of extra stuff gained from the previous levels like sunflower boosters, to powerful pepper bomb, to a squash and a couple of cool mushrooms.

OMG! There’s a zombie on my lawn! Got to go! Kbai!

Mr. Fitz

It's going to be a long day of writing for me. Been raving about the show on my blogs these past couple of weeks. The show's on their 5th week, and I tell you, it keeps getting better with every episode. I've been reading something about affiliate marketing program when I pondered on the extent of marketing ploys I have encountered. May it be for a detergent soap, a food supplement or a movie; advertisers are going out of their way just to persuade consumers to use their products or watch the movie. One detergent brand insist that they can remove the strongest stains there is. They prove it by showing how easily a drop of crude oil be removed from a white cloth. They’ve used the ploy for some time, only when another detergent brand disprove their theory and said that oil doesn’t mix with water, hence the easily removal of the so called “stain.” Another ploy I came across with just recently is how one actor, who plays a vampire, is allegedly related to the original and real vampire, Vlad the Impaler. I don’t know about you, but all I can see is that it has marketing ploy written all over it.

New Potter Trailer!

It's finally here!

MTV Movie Awards showed a minute (or was it less than a minute) preview of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1. But this time, it’s a whole new trailer! Two minutes of the much anticipated movie based on the closing of the celebrated J.K. Rowling novel. For those of you who’s not a fan of the book and movie franchise, this last installment is divided in two parts. It’s the 7th novel and the one that most fans really excited about. It was a good call for the producers to present the novel in two parts. The novel is the first time Harry, Ron and Hermione will not be spending their year in Hogwarts. Left with a mission trusted to them by Dumbledore before he died. I am very very excited to see the final battle, where Muggles and Wizards unite to fight Death Eaters led by Voldemort.

Part 1 will be out this November and Part 2 on July 2011.

Music Perhaps?

Chopard. The last entry was dated June 3! So sorry for the lack of updates on this blog. I’ve been busy taking care of Mama and new projects at work lately. I never really had the chance to share whatever it is that’s going on. Nothing new, really. I am still the same boring person you’ll ever meet. Today was, I think, one of the longest day of my life. We had a lot of deadlines which required my full ounce of concentration. You see, I have a very short attention span. One minute I am into the design document I am working on, then the next minute or two I'll be browsing digital cameras or the latest gadgets I see online.

Here’s a random picture from my archive I wanted to share to close this attention-span themed post:

This is taken by my friend Olive, back when my now worn-out jeans looks spankin’ new.

Third-day High

It normally would say first-day high, but from the turn of things, most of them unexpected, third day would be something you'd expect where everything comes back to normal. The first two days of the week were slow and have been swamped with new projects and assignments that I cannot really have time to do anything else. Like the invitations I promised to design for my cousin's birthday. I've been known in the family as the one who can play around with graphics and other similar things, so when it comes to designs for tarp and invites, I am the first person they would call. My cousin's birthday is in two weeks and my Aunt would want to have the invites printed and distributed as soon as possible. By the looks of things, I can only have time to do it by Thursday or even Friday. Le sigh…

New Sport

I think I have written something about it here before; I’ve never gained this much weight in a span of a year in my 26 years. And by the looks of it, I am still getting wider, LOL. Only 2 of my five pair of jeans fit, almost all of my blouses – I can’t breathe in it. The situation calls for a serious does of exercise. There were a lot of methods to do this. Some of my friends do kick-boxing, others do marathon. Another friend of mine spends her morning taking tennis lessons that’s making a great deal with her body’s metabolism and flexibility. The tennis lessons is a bit costly, and it’s gears to. So I am thinking I’ll take biking instead. I adore bike and biking around town. There are a few good biking spots from where I am from and I think it would be a perfect fitness routine for me. As for gears, I was searching the web for the perfect place to buy them because I do not have that much time to shop for it. I found this one which really gives great deals for new costumers:

Makais.com has their own selection of premium mountain and sports bike. I personally like the bikes designed for women. I might place an order for the Cadillac AVH Hybrid Bike Womens. They only sell it for $299, compared to the other online store which sells it for $499.

The light-weight design makes it the best one there is. I wouldn’t want carrying huge heavy bike around. I know, it would help with the muscle-toning thing, but still, I am a girl and lifting things are not my forte. It’s handles and the stability of this bikes design promises a great experience to anyone who owns it.

If you want to find out more sporting goods that are affordable, visit http://makais.com.

Hello June

I cannot believe it's already mid-year. I remember starting the year writing about interesting stuff like enzyte and all other great topics my clients asks me to research about. Last June 06 marked my fourth year in my job. I cannot believe that either; that I lasted four years despite the year-long rough times. I am very lucky to have been employed to my current company. I mean, I could not ask for a better deal. Plus, you wouldn't find colleagues that treats you like family. Colleagues that treats you like their own brother and sister. People that makes you feel safe and loved. there

June also means that my birthday is just around the corner. It’s a month and four days away, but for me it’s like a day away. I don’t really know what I will ask for my birthday yet. I’ve come to a point where I don’t really think about what I wanted for myself, but rather what would be good for my family. I am not yet married, the family I am talking about is my mother, father and my two brothers. They are all that matters to me now.

Mama's Dillema

My Mama's been asking me to get her the best wrinkle remover there is in the market. Oh well, the price of beauty, as they say...

Client Boost

Writing for the something that would boost the image of the new acne treatments my client would be releasing soon is both best and worst way to start my Sunday. Best, because I'll be having another round of practice when it comes to doing research and creating an outline. Worst, because I had to give up my Dawson's Creek marathon for a while to finish everything. I need at least a day to gather and write everything. Having this extra job is at most part great since it’s becoming a huge help with the household finances, but then I had to give up half of my weekend to finish everything on time.

Aside from this assignment, I still have three more to research on an write about. Busy me, ‘eh? The assignments are extremes; it’s about a diet pill or about a cotton candy chain. I am starting to feel like I am writing or more like rambling things here more than I should. I’d better stop now and get on with writing the assignment :D

First Aid Case

A Robern Medicine cabinet; that is what's missing at my folk's room! Been trying to figure out what it was that a common master’s bedroom would have if someone from the family is undergoing medical treatments. The room has one bathroom, and the bathroom has one medicine cabinet. But with my mother’s condition, it’s not really feasible for her to go back-and-forth from their bed to the bathroom; she’ll get tired easily. I’m thinking of placing the cabinet beside their bed, just the right distance where my mom could reach for her medicines even while lying down. Or maybe just above their bed, with the right distance where she can just sit up and reach the cabinet.

Zits Ztarting To Zhow

Eeeeeek! Three days without a decent sleep, and voila! My face looks like that rough road we've passed by on our last road trip. I have never been on a road trip lately. If I do, I wouldn't be writing the sudden development of mild acne on my face as days progress. Most of the people around me said the big chunk of this acne invasion has got to be the stress, and of course, the lack of good sleep. Looking for acne treatments that work might be a bit of a challenge. That's Plan A. Plan B would be to get more time to sleep and relax a bit to avoid stress...and everything would follow. :D

Do It Fast

Before phentramine is taken out of the keyword queue, I need to write about it fast. After all the hassles and long lines, I was able to take one decent shot of the band! Yey! Check it out! :D
I shared how frustrating it was with these contest because a huge percentage of the criteria they’re considering is how popular the person is. Like the producers of the concert, one chance you can have is if a lot of people sort of post your name on their page as an entry. Of course, the drill is the more recommendations from friends, the more chances of winning. The organizers really did not made these contest as easy as securing a homeowners insurance. I thought about what Chigo said that these contests are just me trying to please other people for me to watch the concert; making me realize that it’s becoming more about me winning than me being a fan. He said, as REAL fans, we should have lesser expectations. As a fan, we are there to support the music and the beliefs of the artists. We, or I for that matter, do not need the approval of other people to show support. I support Dashboard Confessional because I believe in the honesty of their music. I love how Chris Carrabba’s lyrics and melodies give me butterflies every time I hear their songs. I love how Dashboard Confessional’s music makes me feel special. And if these producers and concert moguls won’t see and understand that and have a little drop of kindness to a fan like me to have that chance, well I’d be disappointed, but that doesn’t make me a lesser fan.

I felt really competitive a couple of days back. You would say who am I to judge, but of course being a consistent fan of the band, you’d be curious about these fellow fans. Crazy, yes, but I checked a couple of the profiles who claims that they are fan of the band because of this and that. Most of them are just lip service; they became fans because the band will be having a concert here. But of course, who am I to judge right? Having the band’s complete original CD discography even though Dashboard Confessional do not release their albums here doesn’t count.

Yes, this entry is bitterness all over. Forgive me for writing it all out, I just needed an outlet to let these thoughts out of my system. Knowing that some random person would have a chance to meet them is frustrating.

But the frustration and bitterness ends here.

I sent my entries to these contests. I still have hopes of course.

I have my ticket, and that’s the most important thing. I will be seeing Chris Carrabba and the rest of the band perform my favorite songs live. That I will be a part of Dashboard Confessional’s first ever Manila concert.
