You can either download it below or wait for it to automatically update (assuming the option is enabled). Here’s a complete list of the changes we made, as well as an updated list of known bugs and incomplete features:

• Note: There are still issues with Leopard (or 32bit) mode. We’re attempting to work on fixes.
• Fixed an issue with daily shows not downloading because of illegal characters in the file name.
• Fixed an issue where no shows may download at all, depending on whether you’d sacrificed anything to the gods lately.
• Fixed Growl notifications for new episodes.
• Fixed an issue where the show list wouldn’t display the first time TVShows is run.
• To prevent pounding the showRSS servers, TVShows is now limited to checking for episodes every 15min no matter how often it’s run.
• Swapped to using a Time Machine-style toggle for enabling and disabling TVShows.
• TVShows now has preliminary localizations. If you spot an error or want to help localize it into your own language, please click here.
• Pressing the Escape key now closes the show list and the subscription info windows.

Known Bugs

• Leopard users, or users running in 32bit mode, have difficulties subscribing and unsubscribing to shows.
• There is no way to import subscriptions from TVShows 0.4 yet.
• TVShows does not yet recognize if it has downloaded a valid torrent or not.

Incomplete Features

• The following items are disabled until they’re implemented:
  • The Custom RSS and NZBs.org buttons
• Show information is not fetched yet.

• System Preferences now restarts the first time after an update is installed in order to prevent a bug with how preference panes are handled.
• Per-show preferences can now be changed from the subscription info window.
• Past episodes can now be download from the subscription info window.
• TVShows should now only download your selected show quality. If the last 10 episodes are not available in that quality then it will download whichever quality it can.
• You will now be alerted the next time you open the preference pane after an update is installed automatically.
• Growl notifications are now implemented. View the Preferences tab to enable or disable them.
• Files should now be opened in the background instead of interrupting whatever you’re working on.
• The feedback window has been localized into Portuguese by Daniel Sarsi Orta. We will make an announcement once official support for translating is offered.

The purpose of this beta is to replicate most if not all of TVShows 0.4.8’s existing features. This means that TVShows 2 is not yet feature complete and that several UI functions have been disabled until we are finished implementing them.

In honor of Father’s Day we’ve decided to release another batch of TVShows 2 teasers. Unfortunately we’re also forced to announce that the public beta will be temporarily delayed due to personal issues and several major kinks we ran into while coding the background downloader.
