Gosh so many good (new) albums that have been keeping me company last weeks : the new Toro y Moi, the new Friendly Fires, some newly discovered Todd Terje Edits, the Twin Shadow album still continuously on since last year, the new Dominik Eulberg (apparently calmed -a whole lot- down), a band called Beat Connection that makes you jump 'in the water', the new future of R&B The Weeknd, and that strange German guy Alexander Marcus ( why haven't I heard from him earlier?) with his hilarious electro schlager covers.

Now on: Agoria new mixtape. Agoria's At The Controls double mix cd is still reigning in my favorite mix charts. Here's another trip into electronic eclecticism. Kudos, KUDOS!, to a dj that puts Toro y Moi and a Silent Servant in one mix.

BIG thanks to the Democrazy crew and Lefto for putting up a great line-up! Jamie XX, Benji B, Onra and Marc de Clive-Lowe in one night!

I have to admit that Jamie XX was the name that made me buy the ticket. And by that I discovered some great dj's who aren't afraid to put different styles in their sets: dub, house, funk, disco, techno...! I like... A LOT! I could almost see Benji B building up his set and for a split second at the end of his set, I thought I was in the dark Berghain hall = Man of the night!

And also - it has been a long time at a party- heard some interesting cross-over music. If people ask why you go out...well that's why! To hear new music and to be inspired!

But what was up with the crowd? People literally hanging on the dj-booth and looking very bored. Were they all expecting Jamie XX only playing his GS Heron remixes or (yeah right) The XX songs. I found the atmosphere really cold for such good music.

So this post for saying thank you! Keep up organising these parties and bringing some London sound to our little Ghent!

There was a time when I could only hear this track by playing the very low quality video on the Soma website.That was 9 years ago. You can imagine, on a first second hand computer, slow connection, how long it took to load the video. But worth waiting every second though. Not to mention the crappy sound. Here it is now, faster than ever and youtube restyled.
