This is one of the nicest erros I've had using mac. The window was blocked in that position when I minimized it, the content inside was working anyway. The dock sucked the HTML source when I selected it :)

Folder Type GIF from Folder Type

These days (14 to 25 November) Folder Type will be part of a screening called "Janelas com Vista para o Sistema / Windows with a View", curated by Gabriel Menotti at Casa M (Bienal do Mercosul, Porto Alegre, Brazil). Timing: mon/wed/fri 18h30; tue/thu 12h30; sat 16h.

"Computer screens are called monitors because they were initially used to supervise the workings of the machine. Throughout the years, these surfaces have spread all over society and become an important channel for aesthetic fruition. But to what extent does this affect their original character? When we look at a computer screen, what we see is mainly the way the system is executing certain operations.

This video exhibition gathers works based on such performatic dimension of computerized images. By contrast, the program underscores spectacular dimensions of any GUI."

Includes screensavers, demos, algorithmic animations and works by Pauline Bastard, Constant Dullard, Field, Emilio Gomariz, HOL, Dimitre Lima, David OReilly, Gabor Papp and Andrei Thomaz.

The last friday 18th Nov. took place at electronic store BEKO in Berlin > PROSUME THIS!, a new show format where the product is the medium. It was curated by Kim Asendorf, Anika Schwarzlose & Jonas Lund.

"The Product is the Medium, at the electronics store BEKO at Kottbusser Str. 9 in Berlin.Beko is a typical mid sized electronic retail chain who will lend us some of their corporate space. We are using 30 of their high definition screens to show works by 11 great artists. For a couple of hours during their regular opening times, we’ll display video and net-art pieces on the stores TV walls."

So glad for being part of this show! Excited to see how different show and exhibition ways are being created for showing digital media based artworks through new contemporary formats.

Participating Artists: Anthony Antonellis, Anika Schwarzlose, Constant Dullaart, Baden Pailthorpe, Michael Manning, Emilio Gomariz, Adam Cruces, Anna Orberg, Niko Princen, Emile Zile, JK Keller.

Leopard Aurora

I painted some classic Mac OS X desktop backgrounds at canv.as. I have only used the great paint bucket tool to paint over the original ones, and the same seven colors (FFF, FF0, F0F, 0FF, 00F, 0F0, F00) for all the series, consisting in twelve pieces, each of them is called by its original name as Mac OS X desktop background.
