Big news. My design company, Ideacodes, has been acquired by Adobe and Max and I are joining as Creative Directors of Creative Cloud. To learn more, visit the site, which has links to news and such.

We started Ideacodes nine years ago with the shared desire to design unique and engaging experiences for the digital age, and to create a design company that was agile, forward-focused and collaborative. It’s been a pleasure and honor to have worked with so many visionary, talented individuals at startups, tech companies, businesses, design organizations and universities. Together, we’ve created delightful and useful digital experiences for people worldwide and promoted the power and positive effects of the connected age.

But this is only the beginning. We’re as passionate as ever to create the ultimate user experience, and this time it’s for the creative community: one that we’ve been a part of for sixteen years. We’re excited to announce that Adobe has acquired Ideacodes and we’ll be joining as Creative Directors of Creative Cloud. It couldn’t be happening at a better time. Creative Cloud is an ecosystem for creatives worldwide, a subscription-based platform that comes complete with advanced versions of much-loved software, instant access to a plethora of tools and services, file syncing and sharing and the benefits of community through Behance. We look forward to helping lead and shape the creative vision for what’s next and to evolving the design experience of Creative Cloud.

It’s easy to create, search and share loops using email as well as having all content instantly archived and organized on the loop’s website. Ideacodes Redesigns Stanford’s Department of Applied Physics

Ideacodes worked with Department Chair Hideo Mabuchi to redesign Stanford University’s Department of Applied Physics. The presentation has been reorganized around four AP-centric themes of current research on campus and at the Stanford’s National Accelerator Laboratory: Nanoscience and Quantum Engineering, Lasers and Accelerators, Condensed Matter Physics, and Experimental and Theoretical Biophysics. Each theme has its own landing page, featuring relevant courses, facilities, and faculty, from both within and outside the Applied Physics Department. Each faculty has a page to highlight their courses, publications and specific research descriptions. The site was completely rebuilt using WordPress and we worked with Sprout Venture to create a custom content plugin to handle the department’s multiple custom post types and taxonomy relationships.

Ideacodes had the pleasure of redesigning the SOMA Magazine site working with Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Ali Ghanbarian. “Hailed internationally as the seminal voice and vision of independent, avant-garde arts, fashion, culture and design for 22 years, SOMA Magazine has cultivated immense organic appeal and forged its place within the thriving creative industries and communities the world over.”

Emily Chang Invited to Judge TWS2010

The winning startups will be chosen by a review board made of leading technology and Internet figures from Israel and abroad, including Ron Conway, Christine Herron, Deb Shultz and others.
