I’m back from a two-week vacation to the beach (Boca Grande, FL) and a long brake from blogging. A few days after I returned, a big FedEx box arrived on my front porch. From who you ask?

Who else than from the marketing geniuses and also my new best friends… The Market Leverage Affiliate Network Crew!! Thank You!

Market Leverage rocks! And a special thanks to the super-cool Market Leverage Marketing manager, Dina Riccobono. We all know that building relationships is important and they have definitely started off on my good side. No matter how much money I make, I’ll also be the type of guy that likes a good deal or even better, free stuff!

What did Market Leverage send me?

1. A sweet Flip Video Camera!
2. A Flip Video Tripod!
3. A Flip Video Soft Pouch!
4. 4 great shirts! My son Austin and daughter Katelyn are wearing cute “Future Blogger” t-shirts. Deb and I are also wearing high quality Nike gold shirts with the Market Leverage logo. I’ll be proud to wear it.
5. A cool Market Leverage hat. Deb is wearing it. It’s in youth size so it didn’t quit fit my head. I’m going to see If I can order an adult size because they are nice hats!
6. Gas gift cards.
7. A Ruth’s Chris Steak House gift card.
8. Movie ticket gift cards.
9. Two spiffy Market Leverage flash drive pens.
10. And a really nice Market Leverage Nike duffle bag (which all the great stuff arrived in).

Here are a couple more pics of some of the goods:

When you join the Market Leverage network, you will notice some of the highest default payouts anywhere! I’ve found several offers with payouts several dollars higher than the defaults at some other networks. This is NO joke and I’ll be giving several examples in a new review. I’m really excited to start working with them ASAP.

By the way, Market Leverage is giving away a lifetime referral bonus for each Publisher you refer to their network! Earn (5%) five percent of the commission for each and every Publisher you refer that signs up as a Market Leverage Publisher.

Thanks again Market Leverage! If you have not joined Market Leverage yet, you should do so now! Click Here

Chad from CDF Networks wrote an interesting post about why he does not post screenshots. It actually had me second thinking posting some of my own CX Digital screenshots. Here is another new screenshot which shows my first $4,000 day with CX Digital (i’ll explain why I posted this below):

I Posted That Screenshot To Try and Make A Couple Points:

1. I STILL THINK SCREENSHOTS SERVE A PURPOSE AS INSPIRATION.

A few months ago I never thought I would be making $4,000+ a day in revenue from one network. Like I’ve mentioned before, when I see other people’s screenshots it inspires me to work harder. It shows me the possibilities. I believe I can do better than you. You should believe that you can do better than me. I figure that If they can do it then I CAN do it.

Believe me, I’ve had a lot of failures along the way and I still have failed ppc campaigns all the time. “Failed” campaigns is probably the wrong word for it though because I usually always learn something from them. Mistakes are a part of achieving successFool.

2. SOCIAL PROOF AND CREDIBILITY

I have to admit my first post of screenshots were to try and establish more credibility. There are hundreds if not thousands of “make money online” blogs. How do you know which guys are faking it and which ones are the real deal?

After I posted my previous screenshot there was a comment “… I have to admit I have browsed around your blog several times in the past, but you have my full attention now! I need to step up my efforts and this looks good.”

My point being that screenshots do help a blog get attention. Ultimately though it is the quality of your posts that will keep people returning. I’m an affiliate marketer and although I blog, I don’t really consider myself a “blogger.”

I still blog (on an inconsistent basis) because of the people connections I make. I’ve chatted with (online) some really cool people whom I probably would have never known had I not had this blog.

3. SCREENSHOTS OF REVENUE DON’T MEAN MUCH!

I could do the “fake it till you make it route” and pretend that I make $4,000 each and everyday. The following day my revenues dropped to $2700. Tomorrow they could possible drop to under $1,000. Yesterday I spent almost $2,000+ on one campaign where I ended up pretty much breaking even! If I pause that campaign my daily revenue could drop by thousands in one day.

Do you notice where I keep mentioning “revenue.” My actual profits were much smaller. I hope I do get to the point where I’m consistently making $1,000 or $2,000+ in profits each and everyday. At the time of this post, I’m not.

There are a lot of “make money online” bloggers doing the faking it route (not all). Sure they may have posted a screenshot of a Bajillion Billion Dollars (<-sarcasm) in revenue in one month but all that really means is that “may” have had a hot streak. It’s just a small snapshot in time. Some may still be making that kind of money but a lot of them are not.

———————————

When it comes to screenshots, I agree with the who-seems-to-be-a-super-cool-guy Andrew Wee (and has been waiting for me to get back with him for weeks). Part of his comment on CDF was:

IMO, showing your earnings from a single campaign can be useful for illustrating a case study. I’d certainly not show my income tax return, but showing a certain segment might be instructional and illustrative as per Robert Cialdini’s social proof principles.

There’s a different in showing figures/stats/hard data to impress UPON the audience certain principles, rather than merely impressing them alone.

I’d use revenue/profit generated in conjunction with other statistically meaningful data such as visitor numbers, conversion stats, which are useful reference data for new marketers.

By the way, Chad’s CDF NETWORKS blog is the highest quality no-fluff affiliate marketing blog I read. There are way too many affiliate marketing blogs that have a whole lot of fluff and very little real substance. You know what I mean. I’ve lacked on the substance myself lately and hope to improve that.

P.S> If you have not joined CX Digital yet, you can join CX Digital Here.

As mentioned in my previous CX Digital blog post , I am opening up this new post as a chance for you to ask me anything.

It can be about affiliate marketing, blogging, seo, what sports I like, my favorite foods, what I do in my free time….pretty much anything! It does not have to be related to affiliate marketing. It’s your choice.

Also just because I said you can ask me anything does not mean I will answer everything! For example, I’m not going to give you the URLs to all my PPC landing pages (most are registered as “Private” by the way). I will try and answer most questions.

Please be as specific as possible with your questions. “How Do I Make Money Online?” is NOT a good question.

I’ll leave this post open to questions for several days. I’ll then begin answering the questions in a new post. If I’m really brave (I probably won’t be) I’ll answer some of the questions via video from my new FLIP ULTRA camera.

Thanks!

This post isn’t meant to be for bragging or to boost my ego. There are a lot of people doing affiliate marketing that make WAY more than I do online. I’m really a smaller fish in the sea but not for too much longer I hope!

When I see posts like this one, they inspire or motivate me to work harder, try new things and learn more. I personally read a post over on Digital Point that inspired me to enter a new market and shoot for higher goals. The hard work is paying off.

In my “$7500 in 1 Month with CX Digital? Day 8” update post things were going pretty well. After 8 days with (May 2nd through May 9th) I had earned CX Digital $3,032.00 in revenue. That came out to an average of about $379 a day.

I am happy to report that after 26 1/2 days (May 2nd through May 29th) I not only reached my $7,500 in one month with CX Digital Goal, I pretty much crushed it!

With a couple days still left in the month I have a CX Digital May Balance of $15,392.50. This includes the $750 bonus in which they have already deposited in my account. That’s an average of over $550 a day in revenue. While this is certainly not all profit, my return on investment wasn’t too shabby either.

FYI $9,826.50 of that revenue was from ringtones. A little over two months ago I decided to enter a new market more as a challenge than anything else. In a previous post I wrote about having earned $1,544 in Revenue after 8 days with ringtones but just breaking even. Things have improved significantly since then to a few thousand a month profit. I had a huge $3,000+ day with ringtones earlier this month but since then volume has dropped way down and I’m working at getting the volume back up.

Keep in mind that CX Digital is not the only network I’m working with.

I know that it’s not all that helpful to post screenshots of earnings without any tips on how you can do the same. Consider this post as a motivational one. I’m going to start a new thread where I’ll open things up to “ask me anything” type questions.

Meanwhile, you better go sign up with CX Digital if you haven’t already!

We just announced the five winners of the Webmaster-Talk.com $25,000 contest winners. It was a huge success and I thank those who participated or announced the contest in some way. Lee and I have been busy the past several days verifying the winners points. This contest was BY FAR the biggest webmaster forum related contest ever. The prizes were so cool and so big (Macbook Air etc) that I really wished that I could have participated myself. However, being one of the owners and admin of Webmaster-Talk.com that was not really possible.

On the same day the WT contest winners were announced DNXpert, a Daily Domain Blog, announced their own contest with over $9,000 in prizes up for grabs. Now I have a chance to participate in a really big contest with almost $9,000 in prizes up for grabs. DNXpert claims it to be the biggest domain name blog related contests ever held.

> Sky-High Gas Prices

> The Housing Bubble Crash

> A Very Volatile and Nervous Stock Market.

> Average Credit Card Debt Near Record Highs.

> The Value Of The U.S. Dollar Near Record Lows.

> Food Prices Are Soaring.

If you have been watching the U.S. news (which is great for brainstorming new niches) anytime during the last several months then odds are that you probably heard them talking about many of those economic problems listed above. I’ve been personally affected with high gas prices, the housing crash and the U.S. dollar.

As affiliate marketers and like everyone else, we have to think about how we can make a living during any state of the economy. So how can you profit from the unfortunate current state of the U.S. economy? As a side-note, I don’t mean trying to make a profit by taking advantage of others with problems and making their problem worse! That’s wrong. However, You can take the bad situation some people are in and help them, while at same time still profiting. That’s smart.

You could start by thinking about a couple obvious ideas:

1. Foreclosure Offers (both those needing help getting out of a possible foreclosure and those that want to buy/invest in foreclosures). I just started a foreclosures campaign and will try and update you with how it is going in another post.

2. Low Interest Credit Cards (if you have a lot of credit card debt, it’s probably a good idea to try and negotiate a lower interest rate or transfer you balance to a lower interest rate card if possible.

However, instead of thinking about just the obvious (which most people do) you should be thinking about offers that might be indirectly related.

For example, ask yourself:

What happens when “gas prices are high?” (insert a problem).

There are certainly more people buying gas-friendly Hybrid vehicles. Therefore, I would assume that there are more people searching for new and used car loans, car insurance quotes, extended warranties for hybrid vehicles such as the Toyota Prius. Maybe they are looking to “trade-in” their old gas guzzler for a new Hybrid!

There are probably more people search for “miles per gallon” or “gas mileage” related keywords. How can I profit from those keywords? What offers might be related?

What’s something that might be INDIRECTLY related to high gas prices?

Here is one answer: Bike Sales! Four-dollar-a-gallon gas is good for business — if you run a bike shop!

Bikers around the country are dusting off their old two-wheelers — or buying new ones — to cope with rising fuel prices.

Would a PPC campaign to online bike merchants do well? I don’t know but it might be worth trying! If selling actual bikes won’t work, how about bikes parts and accessories!

Think about how someone searching for “A” might also be interested in “B!” Those buying “B” might also want to buy “B accessories” or even C! It’s the usual “think outside the box” kind of stuff but it works!

Need some ideas to start with? Like I mentioned, Watch the news! You can also find more new niche ideas and trends with these tools.

Good Luck!

This is an update to my post, Can I Make $7500 in 1 Month with CX Digital?

I’m not sure how long they will continue with this bonus but when new CX Digital affiliates reach $7,500 in revenue within their first 30 days, they will receive a $750 bonus (you must notify them if you reach this goal).

It has now been almost 8 days since I joined CX Digital (May 2nd through May 9th) and I’m happy to report that I have earned $3,032.00 in revenue. I needed to average at least $250 a day to reach the $7,500 goal. For the first 8 days I am averaging $379 in revenue per day.

A big THANKS to my CX Digital affiliate manager, Nate, who has given me a couple nice pay bumps on two offers already.

Lesson of the Day:

If you think you might be sending decent volume on an offer don’t be afraid to ASK for a commission increase!

Most affiliate network managers will do what they can to meet your request. They have too many other competitors and many of them offer the same or similar offers. Just make sure your request is reasonable. In my case, I thought I was doing decent volume and simply asked for a paybump that matched what I was getting from another network. I will continue to scale. A dollar or two increase on a campaign can make a huge difference in your profitability. Consider if you are doing 100 leads a day but just breaking even. A $1.50 paybump and your instantly making a $150 dollars a day profit ($4,500 a month). We are talking about common sense. My point is that if you are just breaking even on a campaign, don’t give up on it too fast. Continue to scale and then ask your affiliate manager to consider a pay bump on the offer!

<< Note to Nate: I talked to you briefly on the phone the same day I was approved into the network. Having had applied to a couple other affiliate networks that same day I was a little confused as to who you were when you called. I thought you were just calling to improve me into another network and didn’t realize you were just calling to see if I needed anything. I had been approved into CX Digital earlier in the day but at the time I was thinking “IncentaClick” and forgot CX Digital was the same. >>

Here is a screenshot of my first 8 days with CX Digital:

Yesterday I signed up with CX Digital Media (a.k.a. IncentaClick) in addition to three other new affiliate networks which I’ll mention later. I think I get checks from at least 10 different affiliate networks every month now and I’d like to narrow down my “affiliate networks of choice” down to five or less. There are a couple networks I’d prefer not to be working with but they happen to have a couple exclusives that are doing really well for me.

I’ll do a full review of the CX Digital affiliate network later but so far I’m impress with what I have seen.

CX Digital is offering new affiliates a $750 bonus if they can earn at least $7,500 in their first 30 days with the network. That’s what I plan to do. I was approved yesterday evening so I’ll count today as my first day!

If they had all the offers I am currently running with other networks, $7,500 in revenue would be a breeze. For example, I’m doing $7,000 to $10,000 in monthly revenue with Linkshare from one offer but CX Digital does not have that offer. Keep in mind that the CX Digital bonus is for revenue generated and has nothing to do with your profit.

It’s about 12:35 U.S. Eastern time here so there is a lot of time left in the day. So far, I’m up to $87.00 in revenue. However I am going to have to average $250 or more a day in revenue to reach my $7,500+ in revenue goal with CX Digital.

Do you think I can make $7500 revenue in my first month with CX Digital and get the $750 bonus?

We will find out in 30 days! I’ll give you updates every few days (with screenshots) and let you know how I’m doing.
