The Mio Cyclo™ 500 series is primarily designed for both the performance driven cyclists and mountain bikers, weighing a mere 129 grams and featuring pre-installed maps and the unique Mio Surprise Me™ functionality. The range features three devices, the Mio Cyclo™ 500, the Cyclo™ 505 and the Cyclo™ 505 HC, and will be available starting April 2013.

New offices of Mio Technology (a subsidiary of Mitac International Corp.) are to be formally inaugurated on 22 May 2008 in Brussels, Belgium. With the completion of the new building, Mio now has three branch offices within Europe: Brussels in Belgium, London in England and Warsaw in Poland. The new building is indicative of Mio’s ambitions towards local development and symbolizes the completion of strategic European deployment.

The official opening ceremony will be attended by Mitac-Synnex Chairman Mr. Matthew Miau.

Paul Notteboom, President of Mio Technology says “Mio has achieved extraordinary performance levels in Europe after entering the market only four years ago. The new building is a reflection of our growth and success. This means our three European branch offices can more effectively respond to local market needs and deliver first-class after sales service.”

The Mio Technology Corp. under MiTAC International was established in 2002, and within one year of entering Western Europe won a large market share with the aid of creative product design and strong strategic marketing. So far, 2008 has been an important year for Mio, with the launch of a new brand identity and the Moov product range.
