Some of you may remember the “Learn Something Today” wallpaper I posted one year ago. Last weekend I felt like working on a new design for my desktop and I remembered an idea I had some time ago: to make a second version of that wallpaper. It occurred to me back then that a “Learn From The Mistakes” design would be the perfect companion for “Learn Something Today” but I never had enough time to sit down and work on that idea.

Why do I believe that these two wallpapers could be good companions? Because the only way to be able to learn something new every day of our life is to stay open to mistakes in the process. If we don’t want to do anything wrong we will probably not take risks or try new things. We need to be open to mistakes because every one of them will teach us a new or different way to do something and that is always an inspiration. You can choose between five different resolutions the one that best suits your monitor screen. Hope you like this new reloaded version.
And always keep these two quotes in mind:
“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”
- Albert Einstein
“I haven’t failed. I`ve found 10,000 ways that don’t work”
- Abraham Lincoln.

I love Moo and I already made business cards, mini cards, postcards, Facebook cards and stickers. I also got a ShowCase business cards holder and mini cards holders of various colors.
I like Moo cards for a couple of reasons: they are printed on premium quality thick paper (16pt/350gsm), colors are vibrant, you can pick as many designs as you like for each card with “Printfinity”, easy online process, amazing quality and much more.
You can upload your own images or artwork to create your own personalized cards or you can choose from their pre-designed cards that are very creative and professional.

My new free Facebook Cards from MOO arrived a few days ago. Superbly printed. If you have a fan page don’t doubt it for one second and order your free facebook cards too. This benefit will only be available for a limited time. You won’t regret it for even one second. They’re incredible. Can’t say enough good things about this company. Great customer service, quality and packaging.

A few days ago I launched a new website for a client for whom I developed an eye-catching footer design. One day, while working on the HTML/CSS structure I had the idea of turning this footer into a wallpaper and talked with my client about this possibility. She totally loved the idea and gave me absolute freedom to work on it also allowing me to make a wallpaper download page for her website.
Since the three main product lines of her business are Lavender, Roses and Jasmines I made two new varieties of the first wallpaper using those colors and adding the flowers that represent each one of these other lines.
You are able to download the designs at the end of this post or from my client´s website .
I loved to work through this idea and I believe this is just the first of a new series of wallpapers I’ll develop together with clients. I really like to work on personalized designs for their websites and there would probably be more opportunities ahead to turn some of these designs into wallpapers.
If you would like to see the “Making Of” image of the footer design you will find it on my here on my facebook page. Hope you like these new designs. Feel free to pick your favorite color and use it as your desktop background.

Whenever I have some time for my personal projects I like to write new notes for my blog, updating my portfolio, thinking of new ideas for my website, blog or facebook page or drawing myself with Vango.
For holidays of this year I thought about surprising my clients by sending them a printed card by traditional mail. I wanted to use a drawing of myself with Vango to follow the same idea of my website and mini cards.

I remembered a drawing I made a few months ago of myself riding a bike with him sitting on a basket at the back. I shared it on my facebook page back then and never had an opportunity to use it afterwards. This was an excellent occasion to make a good use of that drawing.
As some of you already know I’m sort of a MOO addict and if I wanted to send my clients a quality printed Postcard the best option was to use their services. Besides, I have the advantage that I can customize the front by printing a different design on every one. Isn’t that incredible?
I was going to use the same design but wanted to add a different client logo to each one of the Postcards. The big question was where to put it? Finally I came up with the idea of drawing a frame hanging from the basket at the back and put the logo inside it. Once the drawing was finished I scanned it and added some colors in Photoshop. Then I just personalized every Postcard with a different client logo and worked on a design for the back in Illustrator. Once I had everything ready I uploaded it to the fancy MOO platform.
Before sending them to my clients I took some pictures. You can peek at the final result below.

Welcome to the first post of 2013 and the first video of my blog.
Even though I was really busy last week, I decided to commemorate the last working year by putting together a video that included the main projects I had been working throughout the year, some of them still in design stage. I also included some personal designs I made for my blog and website during 2012 and the last months of 2011.
Most of you probably know the Warner TV show “The Big Bang Theory”. I always liked the opening video of the show and I though this was an excellent occasion to use the same song and Bib Bang concept.
Keep in mind I have no much experience making videos
It is very simple and condenses the most relevant projects of last year in only 1 minute and 43 seconds. So, prepare yourself and click play to watch it.
Hope you like it!
