An independent film is the reflection of a filmmakers' personal artistic vision, many film makers pour their hearts and soul in their work, but due to the reason that independent films are produced mostly or completely outside of the major film studio and distribution system. Usually many independent film productions receive financial aids from cultural government institutions, these funds only allow distribution limited to the national territory which in Europe for instance is very small. The film has to be distributed separately country by country thus the productions have to deal with 27 different markets whereas in the US there is just one big market. This means independent films suffer due to limited distribution if at all.

Bob Bellion has been in film production for 20 years and has over 40 productions in his filmography. Being in the industry for so many years allowed Bob to understand the frustration of producers, distributors and promoters of independent films. Thus, he created an online platform “Filmsoul.com” for people to stream their movies live at the price they chose and in the territories worldwide they define on a non-exclusive basis. FilmSoul.com is a new internet platform catering exclusively for the independent films. Bob believes that when a movie has been shot under professional conditions it should have the right to be shown and the public will decide if they want to watch it or not. Movies are not selected on artistic or technical quality while other internet VOD platforms make a selection on the commercial potential and the technical quality of a film. FilmSoul.com lets the public decide what they want to see, they also realize that a lot of productions cannot afford to use expensive technology. Furthermore, films that have been shot on 35 mm or 16 mm and digitalized without being HD will also be accepted on FilmSoul.com, this will give to the public the opportunity to view movies that were considered “lost”.

The website will be user friendly for both content providers and viewers. Content providers including publishers and composers will be provided their own webpage on FilmSoul.com which will include a home page, about page, their movies, their network and contact information. The plan is to not only allow content provider a platform to showcase their work but also create an interactive environment. The FilmSoul Community will allow movie buffs and professionals to exchange views, follow people, and exchange messages to communicate and help each other. The official launch will take place at the Cannes Film Market during the Cannes Film Festival from 15th – 26th May 2013. Se abre el plazo para la presentación de proyectos en el vivero

Aquellos interesados en instalarse en el Vivero de Empresas “Manuel Díaz Ruiz” de Torrijos (Toledo) tienen un primer plazo para presentar sus proyectos empresariales desde el 1 hasta el 30 de abril. El alquiler tendrá coste cero durante el primer año. El Ayuntamiento de Torrijos valorará especialmente aquellas ideas relacionadas con las Nuevas Tecnologías.

March 27, 2013 - Los emprendedores interesados en ubicarse en el Vivero de Empresas “Manuel Díaz Ruiz”, de Torrijos, quienes podrán beneficiarse de un alquiler con coste cero durante el primer año, han de saber que el Ayuntamiento de la localidad ha abierto el primer plazo para la presentación de proyectos empresariales. Éste comienza el próximo lunes 1 de abril, prolongándose hasta el 30 del mismo mes.

En esta primera fase, se seleccionarán hasta 5 proyectos de empresarios que necesiten utilizar uno de los 19 despachos profesionales con que cuenta el vivero, y por otro lado, se elegirá un sexto proyecto que en este caso, precise de una de las 4 naves industriales localizadas en este edificio.

Una vez concluido el plazo de presentación, entre el 1 y el 15 de mayo, la Comisión de Selección se reunirá y baremará dichos proyectos de acuerdo al Reglamento y Bases aprobadas en el último pleno ordinario.

La intención del consistorio es convocar una segunda fase para presentación de proyectos entre el 1 y el 30 de junio, en la cual se ofertarán otros 7 despachos adicionales (siempre en el caso de que se hayan cubierto los 5 primeros) y otras 2 naves más.

Se dará prioridad absoluta a proyectos empresariales relacionados con las Nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y / o a aquéllos que apuesten por la I+D+I (Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación).

Uno de los requisitos para solicitar instalarse en el Vivero de Empresas “Manuel Díaz Ruiz” es que la actividad empresarial se haya iniciado como mucho hace un año. La duración del contrato será de 3 años, pudiéndose prorrogar uno más de forma excepcional. Durante el primero el alquiler será gratuito, a partir del segundo año el coste por la utilización de un despacho oscilará entre 160 y 200 euros, variando este precio en función de los metros ocupados, y por el uso de una nave, el coste será de entre 600 y 900 euros, habiendo que añadir en todos los casos los gastos comunes. Es preciso informar también que si las empresas se marcharan antes de finalizar el primer o durante el segundo año, sería necesario que abonaran lo correspondiente al primero.

Este Vivero de Empresas se levanta sobre una superficie de 2.250 m2 construidos, distribuidos en dos plantas. Está localizado en el Polígono Industrial “La Atalaya”, desde el que se accede por autovía a prácticamente cualquier punto del país. A unos pasos está la entrada a la A 40, que conecta con la A5 y a través de ella se llega tanto al norte de la península, pasando por Madrid (a menos de una hora de Torrijos) como al oeste de la misma, con dirección a Talavera de la Reina (a 30 minutos de Torrijos), y Portugal. La A 40 también permite comunicar esta población con Toledo en un trayecto de apenas 15 minutos, y desde la capital castellano-manchega, se puede viajar tanto al sur como al este de España.

La Torre de Esteban Hambrán invita a una de las celebraciones de Semana Santa más emblemáticas y tradicionales de Castilla-La Mancha en la semana del 24 al 31 de Marzo. Varias cofradías de carácter tradicional, llenas de devoción, pasearan por las calles de la ciudad tallas de un valor religioso e histórico memorable. Los pasos de la ciudad durante la Semana Santa serán acompañados por más de 120 cofrades y una banda de cornetas y tambores. Los asistentes al evento tendrán la posibilidad también de disfrutar de las múltiples bondades y atracciones turísticas que ofrece la ciudad a sus visitantes.

25 de marzo de 2013. La Torre de Esteban Hambrán, Toledo, España. El ayuntamiento de la ciudad de la Torre de Esteban Hambrán anuncia la celebración de la Semana Santa del 24 al 31 de Marzo del 2013. Los pasos de Semana Santa que recorrerán la ciudad representan uno de los más claros ejemplos de sentimiento religioso, tradición, y devoción que se pueden observar en la actualidad en la región de Castilla-La Mancha. Lo que empezó con 24 cofrades en 1954 esta ahora formado por más de 120 fieles que pasean por las calles de la ciudad tallas de un valor histórico importante.

Entre las cofradías de la ciudad cabe destacar a la de Jesús Nazareno que fue fundada en 1954 por un grupo de jóvenes y que cuenta con la talla del escultor Salcillo. Esta talla es portada en la actualidad por una carroza construida por Alejandro Cabrero y Eustaquio García, miembros fundadores ambos de la cofradía. A partir de 1959 el paso es acompañado por la Virgen de la Esperanza. Esta procesión se podrá ver el día de Jueves Santo a partir de la 12:00am y es conocida en la ciudad como la “Procesión del Silencio”. Ya el Viernes Santo se podrán ver por la ciudad las cofradías del Santo Sepulcro y la Virgen de la Soledad, ambas formadas en 1959, y acompañadas por más de un centenar de cofrades. Antes, en el Miércoles Santo se podrán ver pasear una de las cofradías más actuales que fue fundada en los años 80 por el entonces párroco de la localidad Don José Durá. Esta cofradía penitencial lleva en andas la talla de la Dolorosa y Jesús atado a una columna y está formada por unos 100 cofrades jóvenes. El Domingo de Resurrección, es también un día memorable en el que se puede ver el encuentro de Jesús Resucitado con su madre, y la quema del Judas por parte de los jóvenes de la localidad que cumplen 18 años. A todas estas cofradías les acompaña una banda de cornetas y tambores compuesta de una veintena de miembros.

La ciudad de Esteban Hambrán se encuentra situada a solo 57 Km de Madrid lo cual la convierte en un punto de referencia obligada para cualquier visitante que quiera tener la oportunidad de ver y sentir una de las celebraciones más emotivas y devotas dentro del territorio castellano manchego. March 25, 2013, WASHINGTON – Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Francisco Sánchez will offer the keynote address at ACCESS 2013, an international trade forum showcasing growing business opportunities in the Africa, Near East and South Asia (ANESA) region in La Jolla, Calif., May 1-2, 2013.

“The ANESA region is showing unprecedented growth, which represents a wealth of opportunities for U.S. businesses. ACCESS 2013 gathers together specialists from both the public and private sector to help you gain access into the region and give you the tools to be successful,” said Sánchez.

During the two-day gathering, participants will also hear from Ambassador Charles Ford, Deputy Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service (Commercial Service), and senior trade specialists from the Commercial Service and State Department Economic sections from U.S. embassies in the ANESA region.

The forum offers California companies a unique chance to tap into the growing business opportunities of the ANESA region, which includes India, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Nigeria, and South Africa. These seven markets present numerous opportunities for U.S. exports of technology, equipment and more, and are projected to purchase more than $100 billion worth of American-made goods this year.

ACCESS 2013 will include a networking reception, multiple sessions on market entry strategies, financing, legal and regulatory issues and logistics. Focused industry sessions will include aerospace and defense, ICT, healthcare, water and energy, security and transportation, and services such as education and franchising. Panelists will include Commercial Service and other U.S. Embassy officials, as well as private sector industry and regional experts.

The event is a public-private collaboration of the Commercial Service, San Diego State University’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), and the San Diego and Imperial Counties District Export Council. Markets featured at the conference will be: Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Iraq, Israel, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates.

Total U.S. exports to the ANESA region totaled $80 billion in 2012. Top U.S. exports to this region were: vehicles and parts ($14.0 billion); aircraft and parts ($12.6 billion); machinery ($11.2 billion); electric machinery ($7.5 billion); precious stones and metals ($7.3 billion); optic and medical instruments ($2.9 billion); mineral fuel ($2.4 billion); special classification provisions ($1.9 billion); oil seeds and grains ($1.7 billion); arms and ammunition ($1.5 billion).
