At the end of March, the discount retail store Zellers will close its doors forever. Located in the Centre Village Mall, the store has given employees two years notice and is having a final closing sale.

Happy, which closed the Lethbridge International Film Festival last Saturday, asked the age-old question: what makes someone happy? The film, directed by Roko Belic, took the viewer from the swamps of Louisiana to the slums of Kolkata India searching for this answer.

The Galt Museum helped hundreds of post-secondary students release their inner nerd in a three-day event aimed at nurturing the nerd in all of us. Lethbridge’s first ever Nerd Fest wrapped up on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. following a night filled with trivia and games.

Rural campus closures not just because of budget cuts

Lethbridge College announced the closure of two of its rural campuses last Tuesday. Students planning to attend classes out of the Fort Macleod and Pincher Creek campuses will have to consider other options for next semester.

The 37th annual Home and Garden show presented by the Lethbridge Exhibition Park and the Canadian Home Builders’ Association, saw an average of 26,000 people attended this year.
Exhibition co-ordinator Mandie White said the 250 booths showcased had what’s needed for all home decor and renovations.
