Volcanoes are a real threat if you live in certain geographical areas—the Northwestern states bordering the Pacific Ocean are particularly dangerous should the pole shift of 2012 cause the expected and massive cataclysms of the earth’s crust that will result in vicious earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis.
No one knows what exactly will happen on 2012 with regard to inactive volcanoes, but these are several definitely active volcanoes in the Unites Stares to stay away from: Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainier, and Mt. St. Helens in Washington; Mt. Hood in Oregon; and Mt. Shasta, Lassen Peak, and Cinder Cone (near Lassen) in California. In addition, there are many others along the Cascades which are dormant. Needless to say, Mt. St. Helens, northeast of Portland, erupted violently and repeatedly throughout recent times, producing gigantic flows of mud and ash and significant casualties for those in the area

If you live in the coastal areas of California, we’d highly recommend you get out while you can. It is common knowledge that a “big one” on the San Andreas fault (like the 1906 San Francisco earthquake) is due any day, not to mention what will happen with the already notorious fault should the tectonic plates exhibit unprecedented movement during the shifting of the poles in 2012. The black areas are the so-called “Death zones.”
Looking at the figure above, notice that there are only three really safe areas… all of them in prime hurricane country. Quite the inconvenient tradeoff… Most any natural and manmade disaster can be survived if you’re prepared, but all of us, no matter how prepared, will soon face hard times. Luke 21, verse 26 of the Bible states, “People will faint from fear and apprehension because of the things that are to come on the inhabited world, because the powers of heaven will be shaken.” – International Standard Version. Now is the time to start preparing for the worst.

2012 END OF THE WORLD

Yes! 2012... shall be the year of reckoning. 2012 shall be remembered in history of mankind forever. Why?
From the position of planetary movements and astrological calculations... the significance of number three for present civilization is immense. The 12th year of 21st century totals number three. Talking of 2012 means... we have already stepped into the 21st century which numerically totals three. The 12th year also totals to three. A significant upheaval on the whole shall be the order of the day.
Adharma (lawlessness) would be rooted out for ever. 2012 and beyond is the period of spiritual elevation. 2012 rings start of golden era. Beyond 2012 it shall be harmony and peace all over. The society would have learnt its lessons. Unethical practices and wanton desires would take a back seat. The lure of money and position would cease to exist. A pot of gold found lying in the backyard would not have a claimant!
The glitter of gold and diamonds would be passé. The spiritual wisdom would become the order of the day. 2012 is the year of sacrifice. Both... the sinner (committer of crime) and the innocent will be sacrificed. One who has committed crime shall face the gallows. Those who uphold and cherish values in the society would sacrifice their lives for the sake of humanity.
The sacrifice by the eminent would be by will. To cleanse the society of its ills in 2012... many would come forward and sacrifice self on the altar of God. Unless that happens... the upheaval in the society is not possible. The blood of the innocent would be spilled. There is no other remedy.
Every individual who is found guilty by the society would be done away outright. The legal laws, judiciary, administration and the political setup would not provide a much needed respite to them. 2012 is the year of Joan of Arc. The dawn of the New Era (the golden period) could not occur without innocents laying their lives for the sake of their country.

Democracy would truly be practiced in 2012 as it was meant to be. By the people, for the people and of the people shall become order and motto of the day. The complete power in every country would get transferred to public at large. No scales would ever weigh in favor of culprits beyond 2012. The corrupt advocacy would find itself short on words... 2012 announces an end of practice for corrupt professionals of Kali Yuga (the present metal age... the dark age).For the society to climb back to its pristine glory of the golden era... even the meek would handle metal (pick arms). Whatever the poor and the downtrodden lay their hands upon would become their weapon. In the last phase of the Kali Yuga we are passing through... the complete society has been taken to ransom by about 6% corrupt population comprising of politicians, bureaucrats, judiciary and police force.

In every nook and corner of the world situation would be same. Be it most developed corners of the world like Los Angeles and New York, or the fashion streets of London, the Goliath would face the David. However trying circumstances... David would finally win the end. The elephant would tremble seeing an ant. Democracy would be practiced at its best and that would make even the mightiest seek refuge. 2012 is the year when forgiveness would pave way for ruthlessness. The opportunity missed can only be repaid in blood. Humility has been practiced for long... to bring order to the society punishment is the only solution.

2012 is the year of the Avatar of the era (god almighty manifest in human form)... people await with abated breath the coming of Bhagwan Kalki... one who delivers the mankind from the existing ills of today. Bhagwan Kalki would be a spiritual master of the highest order with the deadly combination of a wise dictator (Chanakya of the modern era).
In the domain of Bhagwan Kalki... the delivery of the judgment would be instant. No courts, no hearings... judgments in 2012 would be delivered based on the evidence from the masses. Almost equivalent in power, it would be difficult to distinguish Bhagwan Kalki from Lord Krishna. The terminator of the Kali Yuga... Bhagwan Kalki would not only be termed a man God of the era but he shall be one who re-establishes Dharma back on firm roots. The undaunting faith of the masses and uprightness of this man God would bring him a following of 2000 million people world-wide.

Almost 1000 million would follow him blindly for they truly believe in him. His logistical approach towards every problem shall win him the day. He is one from the masses, for the masses, by the masses and of the masses. Such powers would be wielded by Bhagavan Kalki that the humanity would finally term him a living God. The lucky number of Bhagwan Kalki is three, six and nine. If actions of Bhagavan Kalki precipitate death of 5.5 million people... then be it so! The society has to be cleansed of all its ills come whatever may. Whatever God Almighty has destined for mankind... it is bound to happen!
Prayers world-wide have delayed the coming of Bhagavan Kalki. The World War Three that was destined to start in 1998~1999 got delayed. It is the theory of mass karma that governs the destiny of every living being. WTC affair was just a preamble to the main show. Let us all prepare ourselves and wait for 2012.

DARK COMET IN 2012

When considering what might cause us grief in 2012, few if any researchers consider the start of the Mayan Long Count calendar to have any importance. This is surprising, because the reason for the calendar beginning on August 11 3114BC might contain clues about 2012 itself. After all, the Mayan culture did not exist 5,000 years ago, so either they randomly chose an ancient date on a whim, or an earlier civilization was behind the calendar, and they knew something important occurred on that date.

What could happen in 3114BC, and also in 2012AD? No civilization has lasted that long, so they are unlikely to be man-made events. Any natural events that occur so infrequently on Earth are virtually impossible to predict (volcanic eruptions for example). So that leaves us with astronomical events. The astrology of the pair of dates has been well studied, so we can rule out alignments of the stars and planets. That leaves the Sun, which we barely understand today, and comets. Is there a comet with a periodicy of 5000 years, due to return in 2012? Without any evidence from 3114BC it is impossible to say. Given that we are now near the end of the Mayan 5th age, could their calendar be designed to cover five orbits of a comet? And end catastrophically in 2012?

Most people have not heard of Comet Caesar (it doesn't even have a Wikipedia entry), and hopefully this will remain so. However, if we are to suffer a terrible tragedy in 2012, it is currently my leading candidate, and the purpose of this article is to explain why.

Comet Caesar

Comet Caesar was the most famous comet of its day, and one of the brightest ever witnessed. It was visible during an annual Roman festival held in 44BC, shortly after Julius Caesar's death. The following quotes are from The Greatest Comets in History: Broom Stars and Celestial Scimitars by David Seargent:

This was the comet that blazed in the skies of Rome following the assassination of Julius Caesar and which became immortalized by the Romans on the reverse of a coin bearing a portrait of Augustus struck in honor of the great Julius.

...According to Pliny, Octavian wrote that "On the very days of my games, a comet was visible over the course of seven days, in the northern region of the heavens. It rose at about the eleventh hour of the day and was bright and plainly seen from all lands".

...In the fourth century of our era, Servius presented an account that had the comet visible for 3 days and visible at midday and during the daytime.

Comet Caesar is a parabolic comet - a comet that returns less frequently than every 200 years. Most parabolic comets have orbits significantly longer than 200 years, and very few have ever been observed to make a complete orbit.[1] Astronomers expect 50 percent of parabolic comets will receive gravitational nudges that cause them to never orbit the Sun again. Those that remain in orbit should be slowed with each passage, eventually becoming intermediate or short-period comets.[2] Therefore we either never see them again, or they take so long to return that we don't know which, if any, have historical records they match up with.

In my search for the most likely 2012 culprit, I have constantly asked myself, could the ancients have predicted this? Asteroids and comets are definitely predictable in a broad sense, and all that it takes is observation and mathematics. Such calculations are not easy. They require recalculating the orbit for every day of every year, according to where the object is then located, and how the planets are affecting its course. If ancient astronomers had considered the period of a comet or asteroid to be fixed, rather than varying due to the gravitational influences of planets, then there may have been inaccuracies in any 2012 prediction they made. However the daily recalculations were certainly not impossible in ancient times.

Predictability of Comets

Perhaps the most famous comet, even today, is Halley's Comet. Edmond Halley - as well as a team of French mathematicians - predicted the return of this comet, not just from knowing the dates of its past visits, but by calculating the gravitational effects of planets like Saturn and Jupiter. They did this by hand.

A single line in the Talmud suggests that 1st century Jewish astronomers were also aware of the periodicy of Halley's Comet:

"a star which appears once in seventy years that makes the captains of the ships err".

To go from calculating the return of a comet, to having knowledge that it will probably strike Earth, is a major leap. Although that is not to say they weren't merely predicting the return of a spectacular comet, let's investigate the possibility that an ancient culture was capable of predicting the actual impact of a comet in 2012.

First of all, for this hypothesis to have any validity, the comet must be a long period one; that is, it must pass our planet less frequently than once every 200 years. More frequent comets would be well known by modern astronomers, and would most likely have their future orbits determined.

According to Wikipedia, there are just 40 known comets with a periodicy greater than 200 years (or non-periodic comets). Of these, 38 have been observed since 1577AD. The only prior dates were 1106AD and 44BC. To me this suggests that a great many earlier observations would have been made, we just don't have evidence of such. The Great Comet of 1106AD was seen from Europe to Japan. A Welsh text said of it:

In that year there was seen a star wonderful to behold, throwing out behind it a beam of light of the thickness of a pillar in size and of exceeding brightness.

Were we to have detailed records of comets from more historical times, we might have a similar description with which we could determine the periodicy of the 1106 comet. Without this, we have nothing to base its return on - could be tomorrow, could be never. [3]

You could say the same about Comet Caesar, the aforementioned earliest recorded comet of 44BC. Without another record of it, we cannot determine when it will return next. While there may not be any surviving record of a prior passage, perhaps we can make an implication from the Long Count calendar. If the end of the calendar is actually the date a comet will strike Earth, what is the most logical reason for the start date?
If, and this is obviously pure speculation, it had been observed in 3114BC, and again in 44BC, could it be returning once again in 2012? With a precise periodicy of 1025.2 years we get the following sequence of dates:

3114BC - start of the Long Count calendar
2089BC - 2104/2105 is when the Great Flood occurred according to the Hebrew Calendar
1064BC - 1077 was the end of the Egyptian New Kingdom, marking the beginning of Egypt's decline
39BC - Comet Caesar was witnessed in 44BC
987AD - Dark Ages
2012AD - end of the Long Count calendar

Is 39BC close enough to 44BC? In 1758 the French astronomers who calculated the return of Halley's Comet determined that the gravitational effects of Saturn and Jupiter would make a difference of 618 days to its existing orbit, or almost 2 years. Is a difference of 5 years within 5 orbits outside the realms of possibility?

Variable Periodicy of Comets

When Comet Hyakutake was discovered in 1996, astronomers determined that on the way in to our solar system it had an estimated periodicy of 17,000 years, yet after having its orbit disturbed by the largest planets, its new course meant it would take between 72,000 and 114,000 years to return.

When 23P/Brorsen-Metcalf was first discovered it was closest to Earth in August 1847. After completing its orbit it was back in that approximate spot in October 1919, and again in August 1989. The two observed periods were 72 years and 70 years. That's roughly a 3% deviation between 2 orbits.
The periodicy of a comet can vary from a little, to a lot, to so much we never see it again. It is entirely possible that Comet Caesar was seen the very same years as the Great Flood, the end of the Eygptian New Kingdom, the start of the Long Count calender - and will return in 2012.

Where are the records?

…they were either not observed or were observed and recovered by illiterate, uneducated peasants. It was quite unthinkable that the sophisticated urban theologian of A.D. 1000… should take seriously the allegations of such rabble that stones fell from the sky.

…Modern astronomers seeking accounts of ancient astronomical events …find the records of medieval Europe sparse at best.[4]

To explain the absence of records for Comet Caesar prior to 44BC is easy – lost in the annals of history that never made it. But what of 987AD? Could it really go from observed in 44BC, to not observed at all? Or has the record from 987AD +/-3 years, just disappeared?

The former possibility is covered by the concept of dark comets, described below. To answer the latter possibility, 987 was in the Dark Ages, renowned for a lack of records. In fact so lacking that some researchers have speculated that the era never existed at all!

Halley's Comet was observed in 837 according to records from Japan, China, and Germany. The next observation was in 912, and was recorded in the Annals of Ulster, like this: "A dark and rainy year. A comet appeared”. There is no specific record of its return in 990, and was next spotted in 1066, where it was recorded as having an influence on the Battle of Hastings.

The only mention of a comet circa 987AD (when I approximately hypothesize Comet Caesar would have returned) is indirect, and attributed to Eilmer of Malmesbury, a Benedictine monk:

You've come, have you? - You've come, you source of tears to many mothers. It is long since I saw you; but as I see you now you are much more terrible, for I see you brandishing the downfall of my country

He described this appearance in 1066. Because the previous passage of Halley's Comet would have been in 990AD, and he was an “old man” in 1066, it is believed that he could have seen the comet when he was 5 years old, and have would been 76 years old in 1066 when he was quoted. But what if he was just a few years older in 1066, and was actually recalling a comet he witnessed in 987AD? Could he have seen the most recent passing of Comet Caesar, and not Halley's Comet, in the closing years of the tenth century?

Taking a different angle, if there is no specific record of Halley's Comet in 990AD, it fits that a return of Comet Caesar circa 987AD also avoided any record that survives to this day.
For some, a simple lack of record will suffice, and the hypothesis is feasible. For the others, I will describe a mechanism from which the comet rapidly loses visibility.

Dark Comets

There's only one difference between dark comets and regular comets - we won't see the approach of the dark comet.

In early 2009 many news articles reported the findings of British astronomers Bill Napier (Cardiff University) and David Asher (Armagh Observatory), and reading them sent a shiver down my spine, prompting me to research the possibilities further.

"There is a case to be made that dark, dormant comets are a significant but largely unseen hazard," says Napier.

…periodic comet showers appear to correlate with the dates of ancient impact craters found on Earth, which would suggest that most impactors in the past were comets, not asteroids.
Now Napier and Asher warn that some of these comets may still be zipping around the solar system. Other observations support their case. The rate that bright comets enter the solar system implies there should be around 3000 of them buzzing around, and yet only 25 are known.[5]

Until now it was commonly accepted that more than 90% of meteors and comets that could cause us harm were known and tracked by astronomers and government agencies. That thousands of comets that are potentially heading straight for us are not known or tracked is rather frightening. How can a comet become dark?

The science is actually quite easy to understand. Comets start out with ice on their surface. Every time they orbit around the Sun, the heat melts some ice. Eventually there is no ice left. And the only way we can easily see comets is from light reflecting off the ice.

In 1983, Comet IRAS-Araki-Alcock passed by Earth at a distance of 5 million kilometres, the closest known pass by any known comet for 200 years. It was spotted only two weeks ahead of its closest approach. "It had only 1 per cent of its surface active," says Napier. Comet Borrelly, visited by NASA's Deep Space 1 probe in 2001, was found to have extremely dark patches over much of its surface.[6]

Clark Chapman, from the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado, is not so concerned, saying that the dark comets 'would absorb sunlight very well' and therefore should be possible to detect from the heat they would emit. I'm not qualified to judge this statement, but from a layman's point of view, I would think a handheld mirror reflecting the sun's light from a mile away is far more easily seen than a slab of rock that is so hot you could fry an egg on it.
Here are a couple of examples of lost comets. One of the reasons they are no longer observed could be that they have lost their luminosity.

18D/Perrine-Mrkos - seen in 1896 and 1909, then 1955, then 1969, and not since.
5D/Brorsen - first spotted in 1846, last seen in 1879. With an orbital period of 5.5 years. Has been as close as 0.52 AU to Earth, and as far as 1.5AU. Japanese astronomers hoped to spot it in 1976, but failed.

The orbital period of 5D/Brorsen suggests it could be passing by in 2012, if it is still on course. There is even a possible case of a dark comet harming us (in a roundabout way) in recent times. Paul Wiegert of the University of Western Ontario has determined that the dark comet D/1895 Q1 (Swift) collided with NASA's Mariner 4 Mars probe in 1967. Given that the comet was only ever observed in 1895/1896, there is not enough data to be absolutely certain, but something took out the probe, and a dark comet is the leading candidate.

Many lost comets could be coming close to Earth in 2012, but without recent observations, there is no way of accurately calculating their passage.
A long period comet would be the best candidate for a 2012 culprit for two reasons:

an ancient civilization may have tracked comets for much longer than our present civilization, giving them a great advantage in determining the periodicy of long period comets
a longer period that adds up to a 2012 rendezvous is more statistically reliable than that of a short period comet. Every passage increases the chance of permutations due to encounters with the gravity of planets it may pass. A comet that has orbited 4 times in the last 2000 years is more likely to still be on course that one that has orbited unseen 50 times in the last 200 years.

Summary

Even without the possible return of Comet Caesar, dark comets are the leading contender for triggering a predictable 2012 cataclysm. Comets were known to the ancients - we have many ancient texts providing us with descriptive names like "fire from the sky" - and their cyclical nature makes it easy for any civilization with mathematical prowess to predict. Thousands of hypothetical dark comets remain undiscovered in modern times, and if we do find one on a collision course with our planet, we may only have a few years, or even a few days, to prepare. And those times will be times of mass panic.

POLE SHIFT AND POLE REVERSAL IN 2012

In 2012 the next polar reversal will take place on earth. This means that the North Pole will be changed into the South Pole. Scientifically this can only be explained by the fact that the earth will start rotating in the opposite direction, together with a huge disaster of unknown proportions.
In my books I reveal the immense cataclysm that is going to torment the earth in the near future. It is presently assumed by most people and the general scientific world at large, that the rotation of the Earth is stable, however, as expounded in my previous works on this subject, this is not the case. The gruesome reports of the previous catastrophes should, hopefully, be clear to all.
The historical exploration of cosmology in previous books is founded on the translation of hieroglyphs, cracking of codes, unveiling of the magnetic reversal of the sun, study of old maps, decoding of astronomical clues, geological research, and the discovery of the most exciting archaeological find in modern times.
Considering these I came to the following conclusions:

1. With clock-like regularity, sudden reversals and pole shifts are natural to the Earth. The result is worldwide destruction, and is supported by paleo-magnetic evidence and early manuscripts.
2. The reversal of the poles is attributed to the harmonic cycle of the magnetic fields of the sun.
3. Polar reversals can be calculated precisely on the basis of the sunspot cycle theory or the magnetic field theory, which the Maya and the Old Egyptians were privy to. These secrets are contained in the Labyrinth of Hawara, a huge complex consisting of three thousand rooms.

I explained abundantly clearly that life after a polar reversal is nothing but horror, pure unimaginable horror. All securities you presently have at hand, like - amongst others - food, transport, and medicines, will have disappeared in one big blow, dissolved into nothingness. As will our complete civilization. It cannot be more horrifying than this; worse than the worst nightmare. More destructive than a nuclear war in which the entire global arsenal of nuclear weapons has been deployed in one blow. Are you grasping the facts?
The earth will be subjected to total destruction. It will be many times worse than my description. Terrible hunger, cold and pain, and more will rule your daily life: without hope of a quick recovery, because all knowledge and resources will have been completely destroyed. That will be the reality of your daily life after the forthcoming polar reversal. And it is in this scenario you will have to try to survive.

21.12.2012 PROPHECY END OF DAY

21.12.2012. End of time. End of the world. The end of Mayan Long Count. The apocalypse. The end of Kali Yuga. The winter solstice 2012 is not just any solstice but the solstice of all solstices. It is the Great Solstice - a solstice of the precessional or Platonic year. It is the fountain of all solstices and all equinoxes from which the life flows and cascades from a season to season. It is the source from which the time to which we owe our existence gushes out. And it is also a payback time when such existence must be justified. Did the gift of life, which was bestowed the last time around, fulfill its purpose? What does the end date of Mayan Long count indicate? What will happen on 21.12.2012? Will it be what Tom, Harry or Sally thought and put forward in their theories or will it be what it must be? What does this date truly indicate? Is it negotiable?
It indicates the end of the present order and it is NOT negotiable. 21.12.2012 is an appointment with destiny. It is an apocalypse and ascension. It is the end of the world, as we know it - nothing more and nothing less. It is a complete and comprehensive destruction of the age of Kali as a dominant force shaping all aspects of life, which is preceding the dawn of a new Golden age. Did not you know that every transformation and establishment of a new order is unfolded through the destruction of the old order? Did not you know that every action must have an equal and opposite reaction? Did not you know that everything that exists must be born and it must die? Did not you know that new life is created through death and death through life? Did you think that you would never die? Did you really think that time is infinite? Well, it doesn't really matter what anyone thought because truth is not affected by such idle theories at least. To think is not to know. The winter sun 2012 ushers into 72 days of upheavals in which the chaos following a destruction of the old order will reign before the new order is firmly set in place.
Is it going to be destruction similar to the one in Noah's time 5200 years ago or as the one in which Atlantis and many other parts of the world were obliterated 10400 years ago? No, because such destructions were only partial, allowing the seeds of the past to infiltrate the new age (see biblical book of Daniel). 21.12.2012 will be a complete; hence destruction on a much larger scale, because it is not only the birth of one out of five ages of the same precessional cycle but also the birth of a brand new precessional age. It is the birth of a larger creative cycle than the past four events and will trigger a correspondingly larger degree of destruction since the larger birth is also a more painful birth. The winter solstice 2012 will not be just a change of civilizations as in the past. It is a more essential change. It is the change of the race of man similar to the one 26000 years ago in which the Neanderthal race could not justify its existence. It stipulates the demise of the present race supporting its life through the brutalities of Kali and ushering into existence a future race thriving on justice of the Golden age (Ma'at). Is it the time of ascension? It is certain ascension only for the earth. The certain planetary ascension creates only a possibility for ascension of man and all the life in the earth's environment. It depends on the level of adaptation to such new environment whether man will follow the suit.
The eventual ascension depends on the degree of harmony between man and his environment. It depends on the amount of concord existing between the spirit of man and the spirit of his creator. It depends whether his heart and his mind converge or diverge. It depends whether man's life has a purpose or not. The ascension of man is conditional upon his willingness to accept the truth and the immutability of the upcoming change. The ascension of Earth is impersonal but ascension of man is a personal responsibility. A bend in the road will be the end of the road for the present race unless it is willing to make a righteous turn. Will one make a turn if one cannot even see the bend? How can one see what lays ahead if one is only willing to look back? Is there a future in the past? Only few are willing to sacrifice the personal illusion of the world and embrace the world's impersonal truth. Only few are willing to exchange their unjust beliefs for the just truth. One's life is one's personal responsibility. The ascension of life is a personal responsibility to act in time. It is not an ascent but a descent, which is a choice by default to act consciously. Kali must harvest what Kali planted in an age of Kali. Any different outcome requires a personal effort.
Life is a personal responsibility because the creator creates through his creations. It is a personal choice to open the eyes or to keep them shut. It is a personal choice to accept or to reject the gift of life. Who is the one who chooses one's own destiny if not you? One will drown under the weight of unjust personal beliefs unless one is unburdened by the personal acceptance of an impersonal and just truth. One can float in the river of life only if his burden is not heavier than the feather of Maat. One can either repent or persist in his beliefs and the injustice he dishes on the world around him. Can a father be just if he favors only one of his many sons? The belief is always only a half-truth, which is creating intolerance and injustice. The half-truth is a deceit. The half-truth is worst than a lie, because it lies about the truth as much as it lies about the lie. Only the truth is just and wholesome. A world built on the beliefs is an ignorant world of Kali who rules through the deceits of half-truths. You can choose to embrace the new and just age by acting now or you can choose by default of acting now to follow its demise with the winter sun of 2012. Creation of life is a conscious effort that requires a coherent action. Only the decay and death happen by default.
It is not a question of what will happen on the winter solstice 2012 but what will you do about it. One is a certainty over which you have no control but the other is a freedom of choice. The just is what is adaptable to environment and in tune with the Higher Will. The just is what is in tune with its purpose. The purposeless and selfish existence is unjust. See the world around you and all your questions about its usefulness and the kind of justice it serves should be answered.
If you want to heal the world, give it justice. Not an illusion of justice according to the subjective personal beliefs what constitutes love and fear but the real impersonal justice! World doesn't need the impotent projection of the passive love but a potent doses of the active love. It doesn't need an immaterial and inconsequential love but a tangible material love. The world needs the active creation and not the passive destruction to be healed. The fear of dispensing the real love in a disguise of projecting some imaginary love is nothing but a total absence of love that will only accelerate the decay and death of this world. The world needs the just and impersonal love - not an unjust and selfish love, which is not the love at all and it has no creative potential but serves the same destructive purpose as the fear. Love that is incapable of stirring tangible action is an abdication of love in the face of fear and has no creative purpose because it doesn't urge an adaptation to the truth; hence it doesn't stimulate an increase in awareness or the proliferation of life. An unjust personal love is selective, selfish and intolerant and it is anything but love in its inactivity. The love appears as fear and the fear as love in a world dominated by the sheer brutality of an age of Kali, which is promulgating inactivity, decay and chaos.
Would it be the justice to retain something that is unjust by its nature? Is it of any use to keep something that is useless? One cannot be of use to oneself but only to that that is outside of oneself. The purpose of a rudder is to steer the boat - it has no value if detached and on its own. What is the use of an unjust and selfish world, because it has no creative power? What is the use of a purposeless existence? Does it have the power to sustain itself when faced with its purpose? Can one's existence be justified when faced with one's creator on the day of the Lord? Can one offer a purpose in exchange for a given life? Can one repent the injustice fostered by the partiality of beliefs and accept the justice of truth? Can one adapt and justify his continued existence? Or is one's heart too inflexible and too heavy with the injustice? Because only the justice is coherent; hence only the justice has a creative power of life. You can accept or reject it, use it or ignore it wholly or partially, remembering that every action or lack of it is commensurate with an appropriate reaction. The truth is not negotiable but its perception is; hence one's awareness should always be a step ahead of the perception alone. The world offers you life, yet you are paralyzed with the terror thinking that life is death and that death is life.
It is one of the final testaments given to the world that the truth is not what one believes or theorizes. It is exactly what it is. It needs no interpretation. It has a very precise meaning and an exact purpose and so do any of its forms and manifestations. The truth is in the absence of all beliefs and disbeliefs. It is impersonal and just. Every step can confuse as much as it can enlighten because the justice is impersonal. The wisdom and understanding are the shadows of ignorance and confusion and vice versa because the perception is dual and one exist only in contrast of its opposite. One is purpose of another and they co-exist as two intertwined partial beliefs of only one truth. One learns only through its opposite, because it is its purpose. One succeeds through the failures and fails through the successes. One prevails by surrendering and surrenders by prevailing. One lives only if supported by death and dies only if supported by life. One cannot exist separately from its opposite. One cannot exist without a purpose; hence one cannot exist separately from an environment, which is supporting him. One cannot exist in a selfish isolation from the world and the higher consciousness, which is projecting it because one is the purpose and the future of the world and its higher consciousness but only if the world and attainment of the higher consciousness is also one's purpose and one's future. The justice must be served because it's the stuff the building blocks of life are made of. Only the decay and death will prevail in the absence of justice - the decay and death on which the life feeds because life coheres what is incoherent, unifies what is separated, orders what is random and justifies what is unjust.
One can write just a short sentence or an entire book, depending on how much one thirsts for the wisdom and understanding. It doesn't really matter how extensively the subject is dealt with as long as the thirst is quenched. If you do not understand the process than at least accept its honest results. Isn't the purpose to deceive one's heart when an end is interpreted as not really an end? Isn't the purpose to justify personal fears when the theories are put forward, in which the finality of the present order on 21.12.2012 is not really final? Shouldn't one backtrack his misguided efforts and try to justify the modern age from a Mayan perspective rather than vice versa. How can the present savagery and spiritual barbarism do justice to the past refinement of thought? Is a cave man in a position to justify the refinements of French cuisine or the intricacies of game of chess? Why should it be presumed that a later age is somehow more advanced then the one before when the history clearly shows that an evolution is a two-way street and that reversals are just as often as are advances? Doesn't the law of relativity, which we should have digested by now, equalize both possibilities? Doesn't such an arrogant attitude disguises an underlying ignorance and projects the fear as a valid belief? Is it an honest interpretation serving justice to the wisdom of Maya or to the present age? An end that's not an end is a complete distortion of truth - it's a belief driven to a point of insanity. It is the suicidal use of a sword intended for the defensive purpose. Such insane interpretations do not clarify but obscure. They serve no justice. Mayan knowledge of cycles goes back to the times before man walked the earth or even before the present universe came into existence; hence they are not just the astronomical cycles of the present universe but also the cycles of time transcending its present incarnation and its presently visible size. The understanding Maya had goes beyond the horizons and boundaries imposed by the modern understanding, because they knew that all boundaries are relative and that a larger and more comprehensive reality lurks just beyond the horizons.
Relativity as formulated by A. Einstein and the subsequent quantum laws are only a rediscovery of the long lost wisdom known by the Maya and all over the ancient world. The Maya were just the last one to remember them. Those who understand that the fractality principle is the foundation of the Mayan time cycles will also know that the Sumerian division of a day into 24 hrs and an hour into 60 min, the Egyptian Sothic cycles or the Vedic Yugas are formulated on the same principles. They predict the same outcome, as does the Mayan Long count - the end on the winter solstice 2012. It is not this or that or maybe. The end means the end. They knew what everyone knew in the past lost long ago - that time of the world below reflects as space in the world above and vice versa. They understood space/time relativity. They knew that astronomical cycles are intrinsically connected with the cycles of creation on Earth because everything is connected with everything else into a coherent whole through an unbroken causal thread. It was no secret that everything reflects everything else, which is the truth revealed only recently by the contemporary physical theories such as the holographic principle, quantum tunneling, Everett's many worlds interpretation and the other principles of quantum physics. The ancient world understood that analogy and similarity reveals the larger truth. It is a common sense that the size of a cycle is proportional with its duration. The larger cycle must have a larger period of an uninterrupted evolution but it must also begin and end with a proportionally larger moment of creation and destruction. The cycles must end because all that has a beginning must also have an end. Everything has a beginning and an end because an infinite reality manifests only in the finite (quantized) forms. It is a dual world in which the finiteness of a form on one level is supported by its infinity on the next level. They can only co-exist in a symbiosis with each other. Everything must have the boundaries in space and in time, where boundaries of time (duration) are inversely proportional with the spatial boundaries (size). Where is the justice when ignorance in the age of Kali judges the lost wisdom of time? It is an abomination of justice. An honest truth is covered with many layers of deceit in the age of Kali ruled by the fearful materialistic and selfish beliefs. Just as the gold is found under many layers of dirt, even the truth will be found safely stored under many layers of deceit.
One can choose to ignore an honest truth and to surrender to the fear by accepting untested beliefs only at one's own peril. It is a free world. What will take the precedence - a personal belief or an everlasting impersonal truth? 21.12.2012 is the end not of one but of two recursive cycles. It means exactly that - the end, two times over! The end of an astronomical cycle of the universe is the end of a creative cycle on earth since the time below is a holographic shadow of the space above. There is no mystery here. The end of the present order in 2012 and the functioning of your electronic gadgets are the effects of the same cause. They are the inevitable outcomes of the quantum law of succession. Quantum law stipulates and the modern technology based on its stipulations confirms it, that an orbiting dense body periodically changes the quantum states through an instant quantum leap. Two different and separate levels of reality are briefly bridged in an intense quantum leap. The product of a series of frequencies excited by such recursive changes is the spectral pattern of energy specific for particular form of matter (different elements). There is absolutely nothing to exclude large cosmic bodies from the universality of the quantum law. A body such as Earth is but a particle of the surrounding four-dimensional universe in the same manner that an electron is a particle of three-dimensional earthly matter. The fact that we have 10 planets (incl. asteroid belt) instead of a cloud of an evenly dispersed fine dust orbiting Sun testifies to the contrary. Every finite manifestation and form of this world testifies to the universality of the quantum laws. Everything that has a finite size or a finite duration acts as a confirmation of the validity of quantum laws. An abstract law cannot be limited by its particular appearances. If the quantum law works for the microcosm, and we know that it does, than it must be applicable across the board. It is not the law of an atom but the universal law, because an atom is made of the same space and time as the universe. The difference is only relative, which is the difference in scale - the brief moment of time in a small space will acts as a long period of time in a large space.
The self-same variations of Bode's 3/2 harmonization, responsible for the number and distances of orbiting planets are just as much responsible for the sequential structure of an atom or for the quantized nature of the astronomical time cycles. Every true law is infinite. It cannot be limited by finite manifestations. Quantum law is the universal law applicable across the board. The relativity is also the universal law. They are two faces of only the one universal law of fractality known to the all the ancient world. It is implied in the description of the world, which is as above so below, or in the notion that one creates only in one's own image. The apocalyptic change of Earth's environment is the quantum leap between the recursive quantum states or an instant transition between the two cycles of creation in the fullness of time or the completion of a cycle. Biblical book of Daniel gives that time as time and a half time, which is 3/2 time testifying not only to the universality but also to the antiquity of the knowledge of Bode's 3/2-harmonization and its quantum effects. Bode's periodicity, rediscovered by the 18th century astronomers, is an extremely old knowledge whose origins are lost in the mist of time.
The stars, galaxies or the entire universes are progressively larger and denser cosmic bodies. It is fractal recursion of dense bodies. The surrounding environment of one dense body is a dense body on a larger scale. They are all liable to the universality of quantum law just as an atom or its nucleus is. The different dense bodies - from the particles of microcosm to the series of cosmic bodies, are recursive holographic projections of an abstract (immaterial) particle in a succession of different quantum states creating a pattern resembling the interacting waves created by a disturbance of the calm waters. It is only a relative difference in scales, which is a difference in time separating the large from the small space. The relativity is the universal law because it is an aspect of the quantum law or alternatively, the quantum law is universal because it is a particular aspect of the relativity. An infinitesimally small instant of time on a small scale requires an infinitely large period of time on a large scale. The world around us in all its shapes and sizes testifies that macrocosm follows the same quantum principle as the microcosm does. Even a sunflower, an anthill, the flight of flock of birds or a shape of a cloud testifies to its universality. All the world needs is an honest and just interpretation to reveal its deepest secrets instead of misguided and unjust beliefs. Actually, there are no secrets - they are an illusion created by the beliefs. Everything lays bare in front of our eyes if we would but open them.
Gravity and its inversely proportional subsequent derivatives of matter and energy (or the size and motion as per the particle/wave duality) are always quantized into the discrete units with strict boundaries and the exact points of a beginning and an end, regardless of their relative size, motion or density. To presume otherwise is to deny validity to another universal law - the Einstein's relativity. The size or motion is a relative or comparative quantity and in all its honesty it cannot affect universality of any other law. How can the universal and absolute law be somehow limited by the relative quantities such as size, motion or density, because such relative quantities depend directly on universality of such law? The quantum law and relativity (as well as any other law) are universal and valid across the board, regardless of the relative physicality of the particular form or manifestation, as the Maya and all the ancients knew only too well - even if they have different names for them commonly translated "as above so below" or "as in heaven so on earth". Who is a primitive savage then and who is a sophisticated savant? Who is the master and who is the servant here? Who is to judge whom? Are we going to judge the wisdom of the ancients or are they going to pass a judgment over us? Their so-called "prophecies", about which we have no idea where they come from and what do they mean, testify that it is ancients of long forgotten past who will pass judgment over us and not vice versa, however we would like to believe otherwise. Our knowledge and technology might have a broader applicability but at the cost of its materialistic shallowness. In contrast, the ancient knowledge was the more selective but it run much deeper. Although their technology was less widespread, it was based on a more potent energy than the present technology. It is ancients of long forgotten past that reached the stars, not us.
The knowledge of cosmic cycles and their creative purposes known to the Maya and all the ancients of the long forgotten past are the result of an understanding of the universality of the quantum laws and the relativity of its applications. Moreover, they understood that the underlying essence of the quantum and all the other laws is fractality. All the laws are only the different derivatives of fractality, regardless if they are physical or non-physical (spiritual laws). Although such knowledge is partially preserved in the sacred geometry and numerology, its true meaning was lost. The cosmic cycles replicate the quantum states of an orbiting electron on a grand scale. They are the stepped sequences of the serial time periods separating the parallel spatial densities. They begin and end with a quantum leap - an instant change of the spin and the density of the orbiting body. They also knew, as the modern physicists also know, that period between two subsequent quantum states (time cycles) is determined by its precessional motion, regardless of the size or density of a massive body. Everything that revolves also has the precessional motion because of inertia of the massive body. The weight must slow down the motion. Such gradual collapse of the motion is its precessional motion. An orbiting electron has a precession and so does every planet, star or a galaxy. Even the wheel of a car has the precession else it will spin ad infinitum. What is the precession but the gradual negation (reversal) of orbital or rotation? What is the precession but the duration of time, which is limitation of time? The precession is time of time or an accelerated time (gravity); hence a shadow below of 4D (solar) space above, because double time is space just as double negation is affirmation. The precession is the limitation that slices the linear flow of time into discrete units (quanta) with precisely determined points of beginning and end of each quantum state or each relative incarnation of orbiting particle. It is the quantum of the surrounding solar space (4D) doubling as the time period of the embedded Earth (3D). The quantum of solar space or alternatively the duration of the present time is � precession, because the smallest unit of 4D spacetime is � (just as the smallest unit of subsequent 5D and 6D cosmic densities is 1/5 and 1/6 thus determining yet larger cycles of time).
The modern physics knows all too well that a period between two subsequent quantum states is � orbital precession. It is as above, so below - all the time between two successive quantum states or between two successive incarnations of a massive body is � orbital precession, which is a period of exactly 5200 years of 360 days each in context of the orbiting earth. Since rotational regression (precession of equinoxes) is 5/4-fractal succession following on heels of orbital precession (perihelion advance), one 26000-year creative cycle of earth consists of 5 different rotational incarnations or 5 different worlds (or suns). The cycle is repeatable in 4x5=20-folds units, well known to the students of the Maya, thus creating yet larger so-called Milankovich astronomical cycle underlying yet larger 104000-year creative cycle of earth (the regression of precession or the precession of precession). The Maya along with the entire ancient world knew quantum laws long before Dirac, De Broglie or Bohr. There is never anything new under the sun. The present rotational incarnation of earth expires with winter sun 2012. It is also the end of the present orbital incarnation unlike the past four events, because it is the end of a precessional cycle, which is also � of a larger 104000-year cycle. Earth must change not only rotational frequency as in the past four events but also its orbital frequency in order to remain in coherent or justified state. The balance of forces must change in every cardinal point of the precessional wave (�). End of the world 21.12.2012 is an effect of the same cause that drives all your technology. Moreover, it is the effect of the same cause that lends all forms of reality their existence - the past, the present and the future. However, the force as any other particular form of reality is impersonal and which personal shade will such an outburst of energy attain is a matter of choice. The apocalypse for the unjust one is the flower of life for the just one.
A drowning man will seek salvation in any floating straw. One sees only what one wants to see. 21.12.2012 is the moment of quantum resonance in which two different waves merge and amplify each other through resonance (eigenvalue in quantum physics). The resonance is possible only in the crests and troughs of a wave or every � curvature. It has been pointed out that the winter sun of 2012 will see resonance between ecliptic and galactic equator or resonance between the orbital and precessional gravitational waves, yet the attempts are made to discredit such 90� alignment. Every right angle is a quantum or the boundary between two subsequent quantum states, implying a quantum leap in such point when the wave changes (inverts) its direction. Every perfectly round motion is distorted by inertia of its particle and vice versa because any manifestation is a duality of particle and wave. As a consequence every motion is slightly eccentric or oblique as formulated by Kepler long ago. There is no perfect curvature - every curvature is eccentric by virtue of its participating dense body or a particle. The center of gravity never corresponds to the geometrical center; hence even such an alignment cannot be exact as pointed out. For the same reason the magnetic poles do not exactly overlie the geographical poles. Eccentricity is the essence that permits interaction between the different cycles or waves; hence it is also essential for the densities of matter that they create on the material plane. The reality will remain sterile and unchangeable without it. One must have the wisdom when to see the larger picture and when to seek truth in the small details. 21.12.2012 is the actual and not the geometrical alignment between two successive fractal waves, because the galaxy is slightly oblique just as earth or any other dense body or its motion is.
Moreover, the point of alignment due to precession of one in context of another (self-interference) changes in time, so even if the alignment is perfect in one point, all the subsequent alignments will gradually depart from that point just as the solstice/equinox points slowly rotate through the entire ecliptic in the course of a precessional cycle or as the points of sunset and sunrise change from day to day passing through the entire rotational plane in the course of one orbital cycle. Such minor discrepancy between two successive waves is a synodic/sidereal difference or a quantum, which is the essence of yet larger astronomical cycle above behaving as yet larger cycle of creation below. The next alignment on 21.12.2012 by virtue of its synodic/sideral (relative) discrepancy must be slightly advanced just as the perihelion advances in time since the Mayan Long count started with a perfect alignment 26000 years ago. One cannot be excused for failing to account for the relative difference between space and time, which is the synodic/sideral or particle/wave difference between two successive spatial densities or between two successive time cycles, in today's age when relativity is known as the physical principle for over a century. Even the setting sun doesn't set when it appears so, because light travels from sun to earth in 8 minutes, � of it reflecting in its synodic/sideral difference, then how about the galaxy that's much further away? Time on Earth below acts as space of the universe above. Relativity between two successive spatial densities, one in the embrace of another, is reflected in the amount of angular discrepancy or the amount of space/time curvature because two parallel densities curve each other in diametrically opposite directions, so even perfect alignment will appear displaced through the gravitational lens of the universe and the intermediate spacetime curvature.
Such an argument of the imperfect alignment can be made as consequential without a blink of an eye only in a shallow materialistic perspective lacking its foresight and its hindsight. Anyone who is even slightly aware of the underlying mechanism of precession (or the lunar nodal cycles for that matter) cannot fail to recognize the parallel in all astronomical cycles and all parallel densities they generate in time. It is as above so below. A stone dropped into the calm waters will stir many parallel waves nesting one within the other in infinite causal thread of the successive fractality. One inertial mass (earth) will create many harmonics in space and time (Bode's harmonization). Beyond every polynomial is infinite number of harmonics, each one a successive echo of the previous one through the infinite self-interference. Nothing exists in separation because every manifestation needs support of its reaction. Ultimately, all is connected with everything else in a perfectly balanced reality (holography). An appearance denied its cause or its effects is a shallow materialistic illusion denied its deeper meaning. Spatial discrepancy leading to the gradual shift of the cardinal points is the effect of the same underlying cause (fractality), regardless of its relative scale. It is the result of the perpetual gravitational tug of war between two successive dense bodies in their mutual yin/yang embrace, where one supports another through resistance (inertia) thus creating the spiraling flower of life. If anything, such slight asymmetry confirms rather then disproves the true alignment and its inevitable consequence - a quantum leap and an unavoidable gravitational change of the earth's environment.
The cosmically induced change of frequency (change of rotation, orbital and the spatial density) implies not only the physical change but also the change of its subsequent subtle (spiritual) harmonics; hence it ends the one and ushers into the successive creative cycle of earth. It changes the material form and its underlying consciousness. One cannot reasonably dispute and deny the same essence of life to earth and its larger cosmic environment unless one disputes the existence of all the present technology and all the manifestations of material and immaterial worlds. One will not argue with the inevitability of the quantum change on the winter solstice 2012 unless one denies the existence of the electromagnetic and gravitational bonds holding the micro and macro worlds together. One cannot fail to see clearly that such an alignment spells the end of the present order of things on 21.12.2012 established some 26000 years ago with the demise of Neanderthal; hence it spells the larger finality than any of the past four events - larger than the global inundation 5200 years ago or the collapse of Atlantean age 10400 years ago. The fiery purification at the end of precessional cycle is larger and more intense change than the past four watery purifications (see the parallel in the biblical book of Daniel). The Mayan end date of Long count ushers into two new creative cycles - it is not just a change of civilizations as the past four events but also the change of the races of man.
Man has forsaken the naked truth at the cost of his personal beliefs many times before and is doing it again. Selfishness and materialism have ruled the world before in one or another form, making man blind to the purpose of his existence and he has paid the price of his resistance to repent and accept the truth just as he is about to do it again. His personal beliefs through which he subsequently introduced deceit, brutality and violence into the world earned him expulsion from primeval Eden. The history plays itself over and over again. It is a matter of choice between discriminating personal beliefs and the indiscriminate impersonal truth. Who in his right mind can argue with truth? Truth is fractal; hence it is as above so below. The manifestations on a small scale herald the manifestations on a grand scale. The skies above foretell the course of events on earth below. Warnings are many and still it is not enough. How much is enough? How many tsunamis, who many eruptions, how many earthquakes, how many storms, how much of disintegrating climatic pattern or how much of disintegrating electromagnetic shield? How much violence, how much starvation, how many diseases and wars will be enough to wake the man from his slumber? Can anyone in his right mind think that the course of events can continue in the present spiral of decay without a drastic and fundamental change?
Events follow its course. Man at his present stage has no power to do anything about it. The warning has been given through the sacred texts of every major and minor - past or present religion of the world. God is not unfair. He doesn't discriminate according to beliefs

2012 ISN'T THE END OF THE WORLD,MAYAN INSIST

MEXICO CITY,Apolinario Chile Pixtun is tired of being bombarded with frantic questions about the Mayan calendar supposedly "running out" on Dec. 21, 2012. After all, it's not the end of the world.

Or is it?

Definitely not, the Mayan Indian elder insists. "I came back from England last year and, man, they had me fed up with this stuff."

It can only get worse for him. Next month Hollywood's "2012" opens in cinemas, featuring earthquakes, meteor showers and a tsunami dumping an aircraft carrier on the White House.

At Cornell University, Ann Martin, who runs the "Curious? Ask an Astronomer" Web site, says people are scared
.

"It's too bad that we're getting e-mails from fourth-graders who are saying that they're too young to die," Martin said. "We had a mother of two young children who was afraid she wouldn't live to see them grow up."

Chile Pixtun, a Guatemalan, says the doomsday theories spring from Western, not Mayan ideas. A significant time period for the Mayas does end on the date, and enthusiasts have found a series of astronomical alignments they say coincide in 2012, including one that happens roughly only once every 25,800 years.

But most archaeologists, astronomers and Maya say the only thing likely to hit Earth is a meteor shower of New Age philosophy, pop astronomy, Internet doomsday rumors and TV specials such as one on the History Channel which mixes "predictions" from Nostradamus and the Mayas and asks: "Is 2012 the year the cosmic clock finally winds down to zero days, zero hope?"

It may sound all too much like other doomsday scenarios of recent decades — the 1987 Harmonic Convergence, the Jupiter Effect or "Planet X." But this one has some grains of archaeological basis.

One of them is Monument Six.

Found at an obscure ruin in southern Mexico during highway construction in the 1960s, the stone tablet almost didn't survive; the site was largely paved over and parts of the tablet were looted.

It's unique in that the remaining parts contain the equivalent of the date 2012. The inscription describes something that is supposed to occur in 2012 involving Bolon Yokte, a mysterious Mayan god associated with both war and creation.

However — shades of Indiana Jones — erosion and a crack in the stone make the end of the passage almost illegible. Archaeologist Guillermo Bernal of Mexico's National Autonomous University interprets the last eroded glyphs as maybe saying, "He will descend from the sky."

Spooky, perhaps, but Bernal notes there are other inscriptions at Mayan sites for dates far beyond 2012 — including one that roughly translates into the year 4772.

And anyway, Mayas in the drought-stricken Yucatan peninsula have bigger worries than 2012.

"If I went to some Mayan-speaking communities and asked people what is going to happen in 2012, they wouldn't have any idea," said Jose Huchim, a Yucatan Mayan archaeologist. "That the world is going to end? They wouldn't believe you. We have real concerns these days, like rain."

The Mayan civilization, which reached its height from 300 A.D. to 900 A.D., had a talent for astronomy. Its Long Count calendar begins in 3,114 B.C., marking time in roughly 394-year periods known as Baktuns. Thirteen was a significant, sacred number for the Mayas, and the 13th Baktun ends around Dec. 21, 2012.

"It's a special anniversary of creation," said David Stuart, a specialist in Mayan epigraphy at the University of Texas at Austin. "The Maya never said the world is going to end, they never said anything bad would happen necessarily, they're just recording this future anniversary on Monument Six."

Bernal suggests that apocalypse is "a very Western, Christian" concept projected onto the Maya, perhaps because Western myths are "exhausted." If it were all mythology, perhaps it could be written off.

But some say the Maya knew another secret: the Earth's axis wobbles, slightly changing the alignment of the stars every year. Once every 25,800 years, the sun lines up with the center of our Milky Way galaxy on a winter solstice, the sun's lowest point in the horizon.

That will happen on Dec. 21, 2012, when the sun appears to rise in the same spot where the bright center of galaxy sets.

Another spooky coincidence?

"The question I would ask these guys is, so what?" says Phil Plait, an astronomer who runs the "Bad Astronomy" blog. He says the alignment doesn't fall precisely in 2012, and distant stars exert no force that could harm Earth.

"They're really super-duper trying to find anything astronomical they can to fit that date of 2012," Plait said.

But author John Major Jenkins says his two-decade study of Mayan ruins indicate the Maya were aware of the alignment and attached great importance to it.

"If we want to honor and respect how the Maya think about this, then we would say that the Maya viewed 2012, as all cycle endings, as a time of transformation and renewal," said Jenkins.

As the Internet gained popularity in the 1990s, so did word of the "fateful" date, and some began worrying about 2012 disasters the Mayas never dreamed of.

Author Lawrence Joseph says a peak in explosive storms on the surface of the sun could knock out North America's power grid for years, triggering food shortages, water scarcity — a collapse of civilization. Solar peaks occur about every 11 years, but Joseph says there's evidence the 2012 peak could be "a lulu."

While pressing governments to install protection for power grids, Joseph counsels readers not to "use 2012 as an excuse to not live in a healthy, responsible fashion. I mean, don't let the credit cards go up."

Another History Channel program titled "Decoding the Past: Doomsday 2012: End of Days" says a galactic alignment or magnetic disturbances could somehow trigger a "pole shift."

"The entire mantle of the earth would shift in a matter of days, perhaps hours, changing the position of the north and south poles, causing worldwide disaster," a narrator proclaims. "Earthquakes would rock every continent, massive tsunamis would inundate coastal cities. It would be the ultimate planetary catastrophe."

The idea apparently originates with a 19th century Frenchman, Charles Etienne Brasseur de Bourbourg, a priest-turned-archaeologist who got it from his study of ancient Mayan and Aztec texts. Scientists say that, at best, the poles might change location by one degree over a million years, with no sign that it would start in 2012.

While long discredited, Brasseur de Bourbourg proves one thing: Westerners have been trying for more than a century to pin doomsday scenarios on the Maya. And while fascinated by ancient lore, advocates seldom examine more recent experiences with apocalypse predictions.

"No one who's writing in now seems to remember that the last time we thought the world was going to end, it didn't," says Martin, the astronomy webmaster. "There doesn't seem to be a lot of memory that things were fine the last time around."

Obscure branches of the MUI have their 15 minutes of fame in protest at the '2012' doomsday movie.

Several regional branches of the Indonesian Ulema Council/Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) have protested at the content of the apocalyptic 2012 movie, claiming it was unsuitable to be viewed by Muslims, because only Allah knew when the world would end, not heathens like the Mayans.
First out of the blocks was Mahmud Zubaidi, the leader of the Malang, East Java MUI, who asked the Information minister Tifatul Sembiring to withdraw 2012 from the nation's movie screens, and said

Only Allah knows when doomsday will come
.

Meanwhile in nearby Situbondo MUI members raided several Internet cafes in the area looking to confiscate pirated DVDs of the movie and prevent happy web surfers from downloading it. MUI head in Situbondo, K.H. Abdullah Faqih Gufron, said the movie had upset a lot of people in the town.
In Kalimantan, Prof. H. Asywadie Syukur, Lc, also suggested the government ban the 2012 movie. [1]

I agree with the Malang MUI, East Java, which states that the 2012 movie can mislead the people, especially the Muslims, so the government needs to re-evaluate the permit.

While in Bogor, West Java, primary school students at SD Kemang burned pirated DVD's and posters of 2012 in protest, among other 'spontaneous' and well beat-up by the media pseudo reactions. [2]

Apparently, Planet X (a.k.a. Nibiru) was spotted by astronomers in the early 1980's in the outermost reaches of the Solar System. It has been tracked by infrared observatories; seen lurking around in the Kuiper Belt and now it is speeding right toward us and will enter the inner Solar System in 2012. So what does this mean to us? Well, the effects of the approach of Planet X on our planet will be biblical, and what's more the effects are being felt right now. Millions, even billions of people will die, global warming will increase; earthquakes, drought, famine, wars, social collapse, even killer solar flares will be caused by Nibiru blasting through the core of the Solar System. All of this will happen in 2012, and we must begin preparing for our demise right now… As investigated in my previous article "No Doomsday in 2012", a lot of weight had been placed on the end of an ancient Mayan calendar, the "Long Count". According to this calendar and Mayan myth, something is going to happen on December 21st, 2012. In 1843, John Couch Adams (a British mathematician and astronomer) studied the orbital perturbations of Uranus and deduced that through gravitational interactions, there must be an eighth planet, tugging at the gas giant. The name "Nibiru" was unearthed by the author Zecharia Sitchin, on researching the possible intervention of extraterrestrials in the early history of mankind. Nibiru is a hypothetical planet as taught in ancient Sumerian culture (the Sumerians existed from around 6,000BC to 3,000BC, predating Babylon, in the current geographic location of Iraq). There is very little archaeological evidence to suggest this mythical planet has anything to do with Planet X. But since this dubious connection, Planet X and Nibiru are now thought by doomsayers to be the same thing, an ancient astronomical body that has returned after a long orbit beyond the Solar System.

Infrared observations = Planet X

There is much emphasis placed on the 1983 "discovery" of a mysterious heavenly body by NASA's Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS) on the outskirts of the Solar system, some 50 billion miles (540 AU) away. Naturally the world's media will have been very excited by such a discovery and began making noises that perhaps this was Planet X (the most popular accessible resources for Planet X advocates is the Washington Post article published on December 31st 1983 titled "Mystery Heavenly Body Discovered"). In actuality, astronomers weren't sure what the infrared object was (the clue is in the word "mystery"). Initial media reports postulated that it could be a long-period comet, or a planet, or a far-off young galaxy or a protostar (i.e. a brown dwarf). As soon as the last possibility is mentioned, suddenly this became the "discovery" that Planet X was in fact a brown dwarf orbiting in the outer reaches of our Solar System.

"So mysterious is the object that astronomers do not know if it is a planet, a giant comet, a nearby "protostar" that never got hot enough to become a star, a distant galaxy so young that it is still in the process of forming its first stars or a galaxy so shrouded in dust that none of the light cast by its stars ever gets through." – Thomas O'Toole, Washington Post Staff Writer, December 30th 1983 (from text on the Planet X and Pole Shift website)

So where did the Washington Post get its story? The story was published in response to the research printed a paper titled "Unidentified point sources in the IRAS minisurvey" (by Houck et al, published in Astrophysical Journal Letters, 278:L63, 1984). Dr. Gerry Neugebauer, co-investigator in the IRAS project, was interviewed and strongly stated that what IRAS had seen was not "incoming mail" (i.e. the results did not suggest there was an object approaching Earth). On reading this interesting research, I was especially drawn to the paper's conclusion:

"A number of candidate identifications have been considered including near-solar system, galactic, and extragalactic objects. Further observations at infrared and other wavelengths may provide additional information in support of one of these conjectures, or perhaps these objects will require entirely different interpretations." – Houck et al, Astrophysical Journal Letters, 278:L63, 1984.

Although these IRAS observations were seeing mysterious objects, at this stage, there was no indication that there was an object (let alone a brown dwarf) powering its way toward us. But the rumours had already begun to flow. When follow-up papers were published in 1985 (Unidentified IRAS sources – Ultrahigh-luminosity galaxies, Houck et al., 1985) and 1987 (The IRAS View of the Extragalactic Sky, Soifer et al., 1987), there was little if any media interest in their findings. According to these publications, most of the IRAS observations in the 1984 paper were distant, ultra-luminous young galaxies and one was a filamentary structure known as "infrared cirrus" floating in intergalactic space. IRAS never observed any astronomical body in the outer reaches of the Solar System.
Orbital perturbations = Planet X

In addition to the 1983 "discovery" of the Planet X brown dwarf, the 1992 Planet X claim goes something like this: "Unexplained deviations in the orbits of Uranus and Neptune point to a large outer solar system body of 4 to 8 Earth masses, on a highly tilted orbit, beyond 7 billion miles from the sun," – text from an un-cited NASA source on the "Planet X Forecast and 2012 Survival Guide" video.
Pulling up the discovery of planets using orbital perturbation measurements, Planet X advocates point to a NASA announcement that in 1992, there were indirect measurements of a planet some 7 billion miles from Earth. Alas, I cannot find the original source for this claim. The only huge discovery NASA announced along these lines was the discovery of the first major trans-Neptunian object (TNO) called 1992 QB₁ (full details of the discovery of this "cubewano-class" object can be found in the original announcement transcript). It has a diameter of 200km and is confined to the Kuiper Belt, a zone of minor planets (where Pluto lives) and asteroids from 30AU to 55AU, just outside Neptune's orbit. Some of these bodies (like Pluto) cross the path of Neptune's orbit and there therefore designated as a TNO. These TNO's pose no threat to the Earth (in as much as they wont be leaving the Kuiper Belt to pay us a visit in 2012).
Since then, any Neptune orbital perturbations have been put down to observational error and have since not been observed… so there doesn't appear to be any obvious object any bigger than the largest Kuiper Belt objects out there. Still, to keep an open mind, there could be more large bodies to be discovered (that might explain why there is such a steep drop-off of Kuiper Belt objects at the "Kuiper Cliff", the jury is out on that idea), but there is no evidence for a massive body approaching from the vicinity of the Kuiper Belt. Even the strange Pioneer anomaly that the Pioneer and Voyager probes are experiencing cannot be attributed to Planet X. This anomaly appears to be a Sun-ward acceleration, if there was a massive planet out there, there should be some gravitational effect beyond what has been predicted by the other known objects in the Solar System.
4-8 Earth masses = a brown dwarf? It must be Planet X.

Probably the most glaring inconsistency in the Planet X hypothesis is the Planet X advocates assertion that the 1984 IRAS object and the 1992 body are one of the same thing. As announced on many websites and online videos about Planet X, the 1984 IRAS observation saw Planet X at 50 billion miles from Earth. The 1992 NASA "announcement" put Planet X at a distance of about 7 billion miles from Earth. Therefore, the logic goes, Planet X had travelled 43 billion miles in the course of only eight years (from 1984 to 1992). After some dubious mathematics, Planet X is therefore expected to reach the core of the Solar System in 2012. (Although many believed it should arrive in 2003… they were obviously wrong about that prediction.)
Well, I think we might be clutching at straws here. For starters, for the 1984 object to be the same as the 1992 object, surely they should be the same mass? If Planet X was a brown dwarf (as we are led to believe in the IRAS observations), how can it possibly weigh in at only 4 to 8 Earth masses eight years later? Brown dwarfs have a mass of around 15-80 Jupiter masses. As Jupiter is about 318 Earth masses, surely the object hurtling toward us should have a mass of somewhere between 4,770 and 25,440 Earth masses? So I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I reckon the 1984 object and the 1992 object (if either object actually existed that is) are not the same thing. Not by a very long shot.
If there is no evidence supporting Planet X, it must be a conspiracy
If it can be this easy to cast the fundamental "scientific" theory behind Planet X into doubt, I see little point in discussing the historical reasons (mass extinctions, volcanic activity, earthquakes etc.) as to why the doomsayers believe Planet X should exist. If there is no renegade planet out there of significant mass, how can Nibiru be a threat to us in 2012?
They will have us believe there is a global conspiracy of international governments hiding the facts from us. NASA is involved in the cover-up, hence the lack of evidence. In my opinion, simply because there is no evidence, doesn't mean there is a conspiracy to hide the truth from the public. So why would governments want to hide a "discovery" as historic as a doomsday planet approaching the inner Solar System anyway? To avoid mass panic and pursue their own, greedy agendas (obviously).
As it turns out, this is the only strength behind the Planet X myth. When confronted with scientific facts, the Planet X advocates reply with "…governments are sending out disinformation and covering up the true observations of Nibiru." Although I enjoy a good conspiracy theory, I will not support anything in the name of Planet X. If the basic science behind what we are led to believe are the foundation of Planet X existing is wrong, it seems a poor argument to say "the government did it".
Therefore, the story that Planet X will arrive in 2012 is, in my view, total bunkum (but it helps to sell doomsday books and DVDs by scaring people). Nibiru will remain in the realms of Sumerian myth.

The Mayan calendar is not actually a single calendar that westerners are used to referencing today. It is actually a complex system of multiple calendars used in conjunction. Two calendars used in conjunction are the Tzolk’in and the Haab. The Tzolk’in calendar consists of 260 days. The Haab consists of 365 days. The combined use of these calendars creates a cycle of 52 Haabs (52 years) and is referred to as the Calendar Round. Small cycles of 13 days (Trecena) and 20 days (veintena) exist as well.
Another calendar used to track longer periods of time is referred to as the Long Count. This calendar is used to track dates relative to each other on a linear scale and utilizes a numeric decimal system to record dates. For example, the Mayan date for December 21, 2012 is 13.0.0.0.0. The long count cycle referred to as the “Great Cycle” lasts for 5,125.36 years. Correlating that to the Gregorian calendar used by most people in the world today, the starting date of the current long count cycle is August 11, 3,114 B.C

Another interesting cycle is the precession of the equinoxes lasting approximately 26,000 years. The long count of 5,125 years is 1/5 of that cycle. December 21, 2012 marks the end of the Long Count and Precession Cycle. A fascinating astronomical occurrence will take place that day. The sun will be seen in a conjunction with the crossing point of the galactic equator and the ecliptic which is referred by the Mayans as the Sacred Tree. Since this is due to take place on the winter solstice, this should provide clear evidence that the proper end day of the Mayan calendar is December 21, 2012. Some say December 22,nd, 23rd or even other dates. However, the solstice was an important day to the Mayans and it is logical to think that they would conclude their calendar cycle on this day, coupled with the fact of the rare astronomical occurrence set to take place that day.
Overall, the Mayan calendar system is amazing and complex. It is the most accurate calendar system ever invented by anyone. The complexities go far beyond my capabilities to explain so I have listed links below to serve as excellent resources of information.
