Let's imagine a better world with no war, with no poor...

On the 30th of January it's celebrated PEACE DAY. During this day everybody at school is ready to sing beautiful songs or do whatever activity that includes union and love.

As an English teacher, I've decided to sing This song with my students, as well as creating some WALLCHARTS with beautiful messages on them.

Here is the lyrics and the video I'm going to use.

Today I can't feel better :P This is a special day...

5th of November: Bonfire Night, Guy Fawkes Day!!!!

Hello dear friends!!
How are you doing?? It's a pleasure to tell you that next November the 5th it's celebrated Guy Fawkes Day in Britain.

Bonfire Night is a uniquely British event when we "celebrate" the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot against the King and Parliament in the early 17th Century. In fact, nobody cares about the origins of the celebration anymore, but we all enjoy a good bonfire, firework display, and sausages on the 5th November each year!

Remember, remember the fifth of November,
Gunpowder, treason and plot,
We see no reason,
Why gunpowder treason,
Should ever be forgot!

We, as English teachers, can explain our students some basic information, using some resources such as the ones I'm adding here:

II Congreso Internacional de Enseñanza Bilingue, CIEB MADRID 2011

Durante los próximos días 20, 21 y 22 de Octubre tendrá lugar el II Congreso Internacional de Enseñanza Bilingue, en la Facultad de Vicálvaro, Madrid, de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos I.
Nuestros amigos de La Tienda del Profesor, nos sugieren asistir al mismo y nos invitan a visitarles en su Stand.

La información sobre la que girará el congreso será la siguiente:

Hockey Pockey!! Do you want to dance and sing with me?

This week I have surprised my students with a version of this song, Hockey Pockey. It was a great experience. They had fun and enjoyed the moment ( I did it too, hehehe)
It was a version because the one I show you is for infant education, but if you use your imagination, you can adapt it for 3rd cycle of Primary Education.
It really works!! Children love dancing and singing :P

KIDS FUN IDEAS!!

¡Hola! Estamos a mitad de semana y ya hay que ir pensando en un fantástico PLAN para realizar este FIN DE SEMANA en familia.
Lo que os cuento es interesante, situado en IFEMA MADRID, y es un plan interesantísimo para este SÁBADO 8 DE OCTUBRE en horario de 11 a 20.30 horas.

Pues bien, nuestros amigos de La tienda del Profesor, nos sugieren la asistencia a LA FERIA KIDS FUN IDEAS, que os ofrecerá diversas ideas y talleres de idiomas, cocina, teatro, música, manualidades, y ofertas didácticas para llevar a cabo con los hijos o alumnos.
Son varias propuestas didácticas y de ocio que se ofertan sobre el aprendizaje del bilinguismo.

Desde Daniela's Class, recomiendo la visita al STAND de La Tienda del Profesor, para que veáis los diversos materiales de los que disponen.
