Content is King and Design is Queen.  As marketers we know this.  We spend time making sure our site looks good, and that we have great, relevant content, but what some people forget to think about is the actual design of the content.

What do I mean?  In this instance I’m talking about the way the text flows on the screen.  The space between the letters and the lines, as well as readability.

In this article I’m going to show you five WordPress plugins that you can install (which all in total should take less than five minutes to install and setup MAX), these plugins have been tested and used by me and countless others.  These plugins will take your blog to the next level.

When you get through with this article your site will look more professional, your sites readability will go up, you’ll lower your bounce rate, and most importantly… your site will stand out.

A lot of sites on the web just don’t look good.  I mean sure… many of them have nice designs, some even clean designs, but the thing that’s missing from many sites, the thing that I believe would help them most, is focusing on the typography, (how the text is displayed on the blog)  the layout (how the elements on your page flow together) and how best to combine them.

This is the first of a three part series which will focus on design and typography ideas for your blog.  This article is going to showcase three sites I use for inspiration, and I’ll present my key take-away’s from each site and how you can start implementing them today.

Part two is going to really focus on the implementation so be sure to continue with the series…

In this post you’re going to learn how to stop spambots from spamming your blog.  This will also serve as a great first step in locking down your blog while preventing automated attacks, DOS attacks, increased bandwidth and avoid high CPU utilization (thus saving you money, and potential downtime).

This entire process will take less than 60 seconds to implement, and will save you so much time and heartache (dealing with spambots, spam email, and potential cut-offs with your hosting provider, etc).

Read the article, watch the video, follow the steps, implement it, and make sure to leave me a comment below with your thoughts and feedback.
