Sizzling news is that the producers of ‘Endhiran’ are about to seal a deal with the widely known English channel HBO to release Super Star’s movie into western countries. If they do make it come true, it is a first for Indian cinema to achieve such a mega opening.

This is nothing new to Rajini’s shows though as his movies like ‘Muthu’ raked in huge profits from countries like Japan and of course his recent ‘Sivaji’ which ranked among the top ten movies in UK.

As lots of movements and scenes are seen done, we are able to slowly grab the bits and pieces of the movie’s likely plot. So far it is known that it is a dual role by Rajini in this show, one as a scientist and another as a robot he creates! I have to say that is going to be interesting cos scientific movies are not exactly tested with Tamil audiences so we’ll have to wait to see the response.

Also another sizzling news will be the purchase of a Mercedes at a price of 90 Lakhs. That’s closing in to about 200K USD so I am expecting that car model to be at least a CLK or it’s S series luxury class. With a high tech story and a high tech car, I am guessing it is going to turn out to be a car with functions the equivalence to a James Bond car!

A key scene of Endhiran was shot recently at the Vellore Institute of Technology. In the scene, a large crowded people along with Rajini were seen standing expectantly in front of a giant screen and then suddenly erupting into applause. The scene was reminiscent to the expression of joy that was seen in the ISRO offices after the successful launch of Chandrayan.

In Endhiran, Rajinikanth playing dual role, a scientist as well as the robot. In a scene that followed, Rajini was seen briefing the press and telling them that this was the first time that a robot had produced an offspring and this was most certainly one of the landmarks of science.

Robotic reproduction is something that has not been imagined even in Hollywood which churns out futuristic sci-fis every year. All credit to Shankar and the late Sujatha for this out of the world idea.

After completing the schedule at Vellore, the Endhiran unit is set to move to Kulu Manali for the next schedule.

Sequences where Rajni teasing Aishwarya Rai were shot at at the Technology Tower in the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). Rajnikanth enjoyed the Ambur Biriyani and Ambur Peda during his stay there. Now, the entire crew of Endhiran is likely to shift to Kullu Manali to shoot a song and few scenes for the film.

Buzz is that an important scene featuring Rajini and Aishwarya Rai together will be shot in a imported, brand new high-end Benz car, purchased at Rs 90 lakh for the scene. Ceaseless rains and thunder storms reigning in Tamil Nadu has even brought Kollywood to a deadlock. Due to heavy rain, many outdoor shootings have been cancelled and the massive project Enthiran is no exception! The Enthiran crew was filming efficiently in a splendiferous set designed by art director Sabu Cyril in one of the city's schools, until heavy rain ruined the sets. Now, they have decided to wait out the rain!

The Enthiran crew had finished its shooting recently in Royapuram Beach located in North Chennai after completing a round of shooting in obscure locations off East Coast Road near Covelong and they might return to the same location to film a few more scenes. After this, they plan to leave for Kulu Manali if Aishwarya Rai is free from the first round of Mani Rathnam's bilingual project Raavan (in hindi) and Ashokavanam (in tamil).

Music maestro A R Rahman, now busy composing tunes for Shankar’s `Robot’, has bagged from the producers, a whooping fee of Rs 10 Crore!
`Robot’, with Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead, is all set to hit the floors soon. Currently, Shankar is on a global location hunt, while Rajni is getting ready for Shankar’s “most ambitious project till date”.

The stunner-of-a-music-score had instantly raised Rahman to iconic status. In no time, the humble wizard from Chennai became the toast of the Indian music world.

All the films, which Shankar later directed, except for ‘Annyan’, had Rahman’s lilting numbers as their hallmark. ‘Kathalan’, ‘Jeans’, ‘Muthalvan’, ‘Nayak’ (Hindi), ‘Boys’- all these Shankar-ARR albums went on to become chartbusters.
